Description

Users are encountering difficulties authenticating an OAuth account in the Splunk Add-on for ServiceNow. This issue arises due to the SAML configuration set up on the ServiceNow side.

Investigation

While investigating found that while configuring SeriveNow add-on with OAuth and when one hit the redirect URL it will give below Error message:

This issue occurs due to the user hasn't been granted access to the application in Microsoft Entra ID. The user must belong to a group that is assigned to the application, or be assigned directly.

This issue is not ServiceNow add-on specific but due to the SAML Present in ServiceNow application.
 


Resolution

Needs to grant applications access to the uses as per this SAML document
