A vulnerability in the web framework of Cisco UCS Central Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on an affected device.
The vulnerability is due to improper input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected device. An exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system with the privileges of the root user.
Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. Workarounds that mitigate this vulnerability are not available. This advisory is available at the following link:

The vulnerability is due to improper input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected device. An exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on Cisco UCS Central operating system with the privileges of the root user.
This vulnerability is documented in Cisco bug ID CSCut46961 (registered customers only) and has been assigned Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID CVE-2015-0701.
