I Welcome everyone. This is the 1st chapter chapter for the expert insight series for Meraki. Hopefully it's the 1st one of the long series.00:00Is.00:20But we decided to start with a little bit of an overview of the latest innovation of roughly the last year because we know how it is. It's a cloud platform. We roll out a lot of updates and sometimes as customers, you might have a little bit of a struggle to keep up and to use always the latest.00:20And greatest so after this session hopefully you will know more and you will be able to go back into your organization and be able to implement these changes or even get more visibility and more insight into what is going on. Today I'm joined by my lovely colleague, thanks crack. We are both part of.00:40The customer success team within Cisco and we are both specialists.01:00For Meraki. Our official title is customer success specialist. Today we're gonna go through the session, but 1st couple of things if you want to ask a question Yes, you found the chat. The best place though is the Q and A panel. It should be available in the bot.01:05Right corner of your screen. If you don't see it, there's the little three dots that gives you access to the full option of the menu, including the Q and A panel.01:26The session is obviously recorded. Why? Because this is part of a broader project from CX, which is called Expert inside series. And I have to mention that there are plenty of other available videos, so if you're not only here for Meraki, but if you're and if you're thinking, hey, I do have other Cisco.01:36Put out there. There are other series, there are other videos, we record everything and we make it available for you to go and pick it up in the future if you want it. For this specific one, let me just paste the link in the chat so you want to bookmark it if you.01:55Want to take a look to what was done in the past.02:15Perfect. Also, at the end of the session, there's gonna be a little bit of survey, so if you can let us know what you will be interested into, what was good, what was wrong. It's super important because as I said for this specific series we kind of just kicked off. So it's feedback is always important. We can adjust and.02:18Aim better to what you want to see next.02:38Without further ado, what's on the agenda for today? Well, we're gonna see a little bit of the platform evolution. Then we're gonna delve into innovation for each and every main product line within dashboard, security appliance, switching wireless. We're gonna have a focus on programmability and automation because I love.02:45Has happened in the last year in those fields and also we cannot mention AI, we cannot avoid mentioning AI and it's appearing more and more within dashboards so hopefully we're gonna give you a little bit of an overview of what is available today. And.03:05Because it was an update session we had a little bit of topic that couldn't fit nicely in in the flow. We decided to put a little bit of a miscellaneous session or a section at the end of the presentation to make sure that.03:24We could cover as much as possible. As I said during session, we're gonna try and give you use cases, we're gonna try and show you throughout demos, so it's not just gonna be PowerPoint, it's also gonna be navigating through dashboard. I have to ask you to bear with me.03:40I will use a lot of different dashboards because to show specific features I need specific places, some will be in dark mode, some will be in light mode, so yeah.04:00Get your sunglasses if a light mode is on. Obviously, starting at the the beginning of the journey, the, the vision of the unified branch and obviously this is a story that is constantly evolving, but in general you have dashboard as a platform.04:12Form that will grant you management, assurance, API integration and intelligence. Below that, we have the product, we have the wireless access point, we have the switching, we have all the routing capabilities. Now.04:32In this case we are gonna define it as Meraki dashboard as the control place and the place where you can view everything and we're gonna have a little bit of an eye light obviously for Wi-Fi you know we're evolving into onboarding access point as well, so you can buy a single hardware and you.04:48Can use it as you prefer. For switching, we have some innovation definitely in the form of the MS 01:50 platform and the ability to onboard catalyst switches in dashboard selected model, more on that later. And we're also gonna have a little bit of a deep dive into the security appliance with the traditional MX appli.05:07Clients as well as the recent announcement of the ability to onboard also catalyst routers so the 8000 series platform. Again, only selected models so keep an eye out for that. It's a constantly evolving and constantly expanding portfolio. So what I'm saying today.05:27Always go back and reference documentation to know the latest and greatest. What I can tell you is that it's just expanding from where we are starting today. And we're also gonna have a little bit of an overview of some of the thousand eyes integration because observability is key into these scenarios.05:47With that being said, let's jump straight into the platform. So for the platform, assurance has been one of the key driving points within the Meraki dashboard, we have visibility about all the devices, all the client.06:08How can we bring this to together to offer you deeper visibility? How can we integrate AIs into your workflow and accelerate the.06:27Finding of root cause and fixing issue directly. Well, one of the paramount point in this has been the launch of the new client three 60 view.06:39Client three 60 offers you an overview of each and every client. You just need to go to the list, select the client, and you will see the journey of the client within your network, not only now, but you will be able to go back in the past, which means you can understand what's happening right now, but also.06:54Was something wrong before?07:14Because when we troubleshoot the story is always the same. The user reaches when it's usually too late, and having this ability to roll back in time and go back and understand what happened is key to understand how to fix the issue or avoid that issue will show up again in.07:16The future.07:36Obviously here we do have an integration with thousand eyes that has become deeper and deeper within dashboard. You might not be thousand Eyes customer, you might not have a license, you might not have it enabled. The traditional integration would actually use the MX.07:37As a probing device to understand and reach some destination. What if you don't have that? Well, we can provide you with insight using the correlation between the application that are used in your network and the observability part that thousand eyes offer, providing you with some.07:57Insight into possible issue that we will find in the network without using a probing mechanism. Obviously, in this case, we're just correlating.08:18Status of the application from thousandeyes perspective and is the application used in your network? So it's a potential issue. You will always see labeled as a potential issue because that's what we can do without actively probing the destination. But at least you know, we're seeing some outages maybe.08:28Into SharePoint, your users are heavily using SharePoint, so some or a percentage of those.08:48Could be affected. This is available at the network level in the assurance page, so for your whole, for the whole device in the network, and it's also available on a client by client basis in the client detailed page that we will see in a minute.08:55Last but not least, still staying on the client three 60 view. We do have some amazing MR AI wireless feature that gets added to this page. You might be familiar already with the.09:12Proactive pcap. So we are able to collect packet capture for clients and store those packet capture for you so you can go back in time. You don't need to be there to actually run the packet capture. We also enable AI analysis on.09:32On top of that. And if we have that information, it will show up directly in the client page, so you don't have to go and dig deeper. You're just gonna have it at your fingertip and if you want to dig deeper, you can in a couple of clicks.09:50Which brings me to the actual 1st demo of the day. So let me bring my dashboard up here. In this case we navigated to network wide monitor clients. So this is the list of full clients in your network. We have a variety.10:06Devices, we can see if they're online or offline, which is amazing. If we click on any of this device, we will be prompted with the client three 60 view. Now, client three 60 view, as you can see here allows you to span across different periods. It could be the last hour, it could be last day, last week or a custom point in time.10:26In the past. And you will see when the client was connected or disconnected from the network. You will be able to add or remove any bad event I would say related to association authentication, DHCP DNS or application, and it will be marked in the.10:47Timeline with the red x.11:07Together with this, we do have the current status of the client. We can see if it's online, how it's connected, what's the chain of device that the device is traversing to reach out hopefully to the internet and to some application and we have plenty of client details including the MAC address, the.11:10ID if there's any specific rules applied to the client, if it has either to the next enabled and so on.11:30From this view, as I said, we can navigate back in time. You might notice that some of these X's have a little star icon here. So, those without, we do not have a packet capture for those with.11:38We are able to give you additional information. 1st and foremost, we can see that we're seeing historical data here. We can go back to the current view at any point in time, but we can start seeing AAI in action here. We can see that.11:53Design was disconnected from a specific SSID on a specific access point and we do have an AI pickup analysis available for you. If you click, we will generate 1st and foremost an AI summary, so it's an high level overview.12:09What happened here? What's worrying, what is good, what is bad? In this case we had received coverage because we've seen the RSSI not being perfect. We've seen a successful authentication exchange and we see a lot of retransmission.12:26And the client deauthenticated. What's the proof of that? Well, you have the full timeline below. If you want, you can expand to see the interaction, but you can also go and view the full pickup analysis. This is a stored capture, so it's available in dashboard for you.12:46And it serves you the same AI generated summary, you can view the packet flow and the reasoning that led to this analysis. You can view the raw packet capture, so if you're good with wireshark commands and you want to filter it and you want to look at package on your own, you can without.13:05Having to download this and.13:25You can you use the AI highlighter to show which packet gave us or gave AI the feeling of what happened. So you can declaptor very easily whatever happened in the exchange and we'll focus on what matter hey this.13:28This is the the authentication packet that we're interested into. This is what led to the client not being able to connect to the wireless network. Side note here, the.13:48Proactive pickup and the AI feature are associated with the advanced license for the access point, but all the other feature within intelligent capture are available for you with any license here. So if you want to schedule a capture, if you want to store it in dashboard, if you want to review it.14:00You want to.14:20Analyze it without getting out of dashboard, you can NO matter the type of license you have. Which brings me to another thirdly recent innovation still currently in beta but is.14:22That's how we collect feedback, that's how we improve this type of features so.14:42Role based access control with custom roles. You might be familiar with dashboard allowing you the option to only give access to a user for a specific read only permission for an organization or write permission on a specific network or subset of network.14:48What if you want to go more granular? Well, now you can with role based access control custom role. It supports at the moment security and switching and wireless, it must be enabled in the early access page, which I will show you in a minute because most of this feature do require.15:07Enablement from yearly access page.15:27And it's tailored to allow you to either give NO access read only or read and write permission to a specific user or subset of user. So, what I was talking about, 1st and foremost, I was talking about the early access page. Early access page is available under organization.15:30Configure early access. Here you will see a lot of feature AI recommendation, AI analyzer that I showed you before, as well as some of the integration that we will see later like cloud CLI for native iOS XE for switches or.15:50You're more on the programmability side and you want to test the latest and greatest API and you're like, we have the documentation but the API is not triggering what is going on? Early access API must be enabled for an organization. So this is the place that I honestly always like to go and look maybe once a month to see.16:09If there's anything new and if I want to test it, I have my demo environment and I go and test any new feature as soon as possible so I can give feedback, learn, understand how it will be in the future.16:28With that being said, let me go to a different dashboard for the role based access control. Again user, as you might know, are managed under organization configure administrators. You have the full list of admins here or you can switch to the roles tab. In the roles tab, we have.16:44What we provide out of the box, so out of the box we do have full access for the full organization or observer, and then we have some limited access to what we used to have in dashboard up until today. If you want, you can create a custom role.17:03Test custom.17:26Role, whatever, gonna give you the description is probably better, but for the sake of the demo, I'm just gonna move on. We can set the permission. Here you can see we have, let me zoom in a little security and as the one switching and wireless. And maybe I'm in that situation where I'm like, ok, I want this specific subset of users to be able to.17:29Read the security in SD one page because maybe they can see what is going on in the alpha VPN domain, they can see what is going on with the provider. They cannot make mistakes into the subnets that I'm propagating or the IP addressing scheme.17:48At the same time, these users maybe are managing and troubleshooting, switching and wireless environments, so I can have this granularity and this customization within the same network. I can review the role summary.18:04And I can just confirm with a single click, and obviously as a good live demo, I had an error closed without saving, let me try and refresh the page.18:21Okay, I had previous custom roles that I tested before, so I'm not gonna go through the creation process. They were not loaded properly, properly, but you can see here we can review some details exactly the same as I did before. Read only read and write, read and write. If I go back to the administration I can add.18:38The new admin test.18:58Test, 1st at.com almost and we can assign the role. We do have access to all the previous ones, so maybe you're in a situation where you want to give them the role as an observer so they can read all settings within our.19:00And at the same time we want to give it the test role that we assigned before, so.19:21You can do it by simply assigning rule, assigning a scope, maybe on a subset of network, maybe on all of them, and then we can add observer functionality for all settings within an organization. So as easy as that, we do have now a user that.19:27Is capable of viewing everything but edit only the settings within.19:47Wireless and switching still at the organization level, as I said, the platform has had a lot of announcements recently, so we're gonna talk about this a little bit more alerts.19:53Now you might be familiar with the alert page that is available for each and every network. That page is still there, hasn't gone anywhere, but we heard the need to have a higher.20:13Place where to look at everything that is going on in the network and collect historical information. Again, the key is to be able not only to see what's going on right now, but also to compare it with what previously happened. Now the alert page is available in two places. You have it available.20:30Available at the organization level and we will look at everything going on in your organization.20:50But if you want to have a more granular view, you can view it also under the assurance tab for each and every network. Here you will be able to see all the alerts, you will be able to analyze trends to see if there's anything that is.20:55Decreasing or if you are more likely, you're worried about things increasing without you noticing alert categories span across different domains so we can check configuration, connectivity, the device health and some insight information for the client trying to reach specific.21:11Service.21:31Okay, another slide, let's move into a quick demo here. So organization alerts is the page where everything is collected and you will see here quite a few things. You will see as always the trend, we categorize alerts as.21:32Critical warning or or informational. Usually what you are worried about are the critical one because usually the device being offline or something going really bad, but depending on your environment and what is important for you and your company warnings can be.21:52Very important to address. I have low performance on a specific port. I have a client that is unable to authenticate over to the or a massive personal client unable to authenticate over to the which again here you will be able to see is this a single device, is this a single location?22:11Or is this a broad issue that is spanning across my full deployment? Here the navigation allows you to select specific networks, obviously only the one with active alerts will be shown but here as you can see we have plenty of devices. We can also see this missed alert if there is an alert.22:30That keeps on popping up and it's not important for you, you can always select it and decide, hey, dismiss this alert. I want I don't want to be worried about this thing. It doesn't really affect my environment or it's a known issue. There is NO fix.22:51Classic example here, a bad cabling in the wall and you're gonna have some reduced speed, and it's like, ok, we're aware of that on a specific network, it's an old building, we didn't, we were not able to rewire, I don't want this type of alerts to keep on showing up and popping up in my feed, you can dismiss it.23:08As well as looking at the past, what happened before? Do I have any results alert? How many times, when did that happen?23:28And you can click on alert and see the details which device, which situation, which point in time when it was resolved. This is all well and good, but what if you want to see those alert in action? Well, 1st and foremost you have the configure alert.23:36Alert section and here you can view every single alert we have available. Obviously, some alert alerts are only available for specific device types, so if you want, you can filter in and out specific alerts, you can filter in or out specific severity, you can filter in or out.23:56About specific device type. The question that we got in the past, some alerts have more than one icon there can be critical and wording. Why we do that? Because sometimes, let's say again.24:16If you're seeing a 3 % CRC error, it's a warning. It's nothing too bad. If all of a sudden you're seeing that 90 % of the packets that are flowing are actually generating CRC error well and maybe that's a bit more critical than what we thought at the beginning. So again, it's visibility to move across this.24:32To domain. Here you have the option to edit every single one manually, so if you want to receive alerts, you can enable email or webhook, but.24:52What I prefer to do is to go into the alert profile domain. Here you can define a mapping between the way you want an alert to be delivered and any subset of alerts. So you can select what is important for you and you can decide how.25:03Will be delivered. Let's edit a profile that I have already here.25:23It's test profile, I can select any number of alerts and I can select any number of networks because maybe I have a group or a group email address that is only for the branch offices that are in Germany and I'm gonna select all the network that are part of the Germany thing and I.25:28Will forward it to that specific email. Even better, I can set it into maintenance mode.25:48If you think about it, sometimes you have this moment in time where it's like, I know it's gonna be a mess. I'm gonna unplug cables, I'm gonna reboot device. I don't want to be slotted with these alerts. You can set maintenance mode and stop receiving those alerts for a specific amount of time or you can even set a schedule. I want to receive.25:53Alert only overnight or I want to receive alerts only during work days. I don't know, whatever makes more sense for you to have an easier life passing through anything that can happen into the network.26:13Destination here, we have available email notification and web alert, you can combine, you can have more than one, pick and choose what you want. As well as for the schedules we do provide some out of the box.26:27I'm sorry, but you can create your personalized schedule should it be needed. Here otherwise we're not gonna survive the whole presentation. Again.26:42Be mindful, rule of thumbs is usually go check the status of the organizational alert as they are now. If you see that everything is good, you can go in and go crazy Enable 2040 of those, whatever makes sense for you. Vice versa, if you come in here and there's a lot.26:58I will say 1st try and decluster, understand what is relevant, what is not. Try and fix some of those. If you click on a specific alerts, if we do have suggested action, we can provide you with a list of tasks you can perform to try and mitigate.27:17That behavior. So in this case, it's a device offline, so double check if it's powered on, double check if it's cabled in. For some other there are obviously different routes to resolution.27:37But in general, we do have suggested action and we can also view the details or when this specific alert was on on the specific device. Last but not least while we're talking about alerts, this is also the place where you will find AI optimization.27:50Now in this dashboard I have none, so let me navigate to a different one.28:10And show you how it looks like if I go under organization alerts, let me zoom in a little. AI optimization again through the early access page do require an advanced license.28:16But this is where we started looking at the current status of the network and it's not a problem per se, but it's more of, is there anything you can do to improve? Do you have a feature that you haven't turned on? Do you have a change that will dramatically improve the.28:31The user experience while being connected to your network. Obviously, review them with a pinch of salt. In this case enable WPA three. Well WPA three, it's a suggested action. You can.28:51See what is suggested is moved encryption from three and enabled eleven W Obviously, there's a little knowledge here involved. You need to know, will your clients support these.29:05Exchange. I know for sure that I have a very old IoT device. If I will go in this direction, I will not be able to control that device. But again, maybe it's not connected to this SSID, maybe it's connected to a different one and I can have the classic dual SSID deployment where I have my legacy and then I have my.29:21I.29:41Up to date client to connect to the latest and greatest having the best performance and the best security over the network. That's as I said, just a wrap on AI optimization that I just showed you. Again, it's an error.29:42Evolving landscape, if we're checking ten things today, we're gonna check 20 or a hundred in the future. So it's always a place where to go and take a look, there's a little badge icon, you can always go there and double check it.30:02Still talking about announcements in visibility. This is a bit older, I would say, but you will not believe how many times this page has saved me or a customer while we were having conversation about programmability and API.30:17You could be a customer that is not using API today.30:36You should look into API. I will go as far as saying that, but maybe you start your journey, your learning and you don't understand what is going on. You can see what's happening in your API environment in terms of the number of calls, the successful one, how many people are using the service and so on.30:40With a single click or you might be a very skilled.31:00Customer with a lot of API in place, with a lot of programmability is currently running on your network, and it might be difficult to keep track which user is doing what, how many API keys I have enabled, what's the main source of this call? Is there anybody that is hitting the limit, which means.31:05Using too many API calls, is there any workflow I can improve to make that limit go away? In general, just as a summary with Meraki you have ten API calls per second per organization, which is a lot, but trust me.31:25When you start becoming an API enthusiast, you can burn through that budget pretty quick. So API analysis overview is where you can go to see if there's anything wrong or is everything under control.31:45This is available under organization organization configure API and webhooks. This is the page where you can configure your web books, where you can get a new API key or refresh the API key associated with your user, but it's also the place where we have the API analytics. Here we.32:00Can see the total request, how many successful requests we've done if we hit that famous rate limit, so again, it will show as a line and you can understand.32:20When is happening? Is that a specific time of the day? Maybe there is a job scheduled by someone six months ago that everybody forgot about it, that is eating through the budget and yeah maybe you can pinpoint it and fix it.32:31With that obviously we have a bit of a breakdown at the bottom where we have, we know the user agent that is using those API key, we can see the operation, which API call has been called, things like the admins user and the source IP address. Together with.32:50The percentage of requests so you can easily spot if somebody is consuming too much.33:09And hopefully the last one for this high level overview, this is more of an administrative task, but we know how painful these could be. As an infrastructure, if you are a Meraki customer for quite a long time, you might have devices that are.33:17Going under sales or having under sales announcement or not supported anymore. Is there any, is there an easy way to understand what's the status of your organization? Well yes, obviously, we can view that under organization inventory.33:35Actually I'm gonna you know what I'm gonna show it into this dashboard. Sorry for the as I said sunglasses on NO dark mode here and this is available under the inventory page.33:54Organization inventory here you have the full list of all the devices that are in your organization and you have access to two new columns and of support and the sale. If you don't have it, just look the cog icon and select those columns to be added to your report.34:11You also have at the top, some notification devices that are past the end of support date. You can see the ID, the model, the end of sale date, you can download it as a CSV or an XML file if you have a lot of those and you can plan ahead for refresh. Same story for.34:28Support within the next year, so something that he's approaching or devices that have published end of sale date.34:48We're still supporting it, everything is fine, but down the line at certain point, they will have an end of sale date and an end of support. So again, very nice and easy to spot these information at a glance. Also this is more of a.34:55If you haven't heard about it, you might be familiar with the old definition of the firmware within Meraki, which used to have stable release candidates and other version mainly maintenance release and stable firmware to align with the Cisco terminology and make it easy for all those.35:16This customer that are.35:35You know, in an environment where it's not just Meraki, which we know you might be, we align with the same definition. We now have beta generally available and recommended release. Beta has the latest and greatest feature. It's something that we usually suggest to deploy in.35:37A test environment or a non production network or a small rollout to test the new feature. Generally available is production ready for firmware that has passed full QA test.35:57It includes major and minor fixes, but it might be subject to still have minor releases or update along the line or we have the recommended releases which is what usually we recommend for stable network. I want a few more that will last.36:10As long as possible, the recommended release is, as the name said, what we recommend. It will show in dashboard exactly the same way if you go under organization framework updates, this is now the the way we categorize it. So we have recommended release.36:27And a side note on this, it was released yesterday, so I'm gonna have a few slides later about iOS xe. I wasn't able to include version 26 because it literally dropped yesterday. So again, nice, you can see what is going on, you can stay up to date.36:48We're not gonna talk too much about version 26 is the version 26 today, but as you can see beta available if you want, as always you can click and view what's changed, what is new, what is fixed, why this beta release is so important, what are the new product that we support, and so on.37:07Outside of dashboard, this is a minor change again, but it's important to notice the status page for Meraki was available for quite a long time, so if you go to the status page, I'm just gonna hopefully open it up.37:31Here we go. It's status.net. Again, if you want is a very useful page to bookmark and to subscribe to. This page used to just report information about our global status. Now, you can see the status not only.37:47Be divided by region, but if you dig deeper in a region, we can see the different section that make up a dashboard. I know for you it's seamless experience but as any big service, we have a lot of services running in the background so you can see if it's an issue affecting dashboard or the access point or just.38:07Cameras, so again very useful if you are the person in charge of seeing this thing or if you have a colleague that is working in a department where having this information as soon as possible, you can just tell them subscribe to this update and it will be a piece of cake to understand if something.38:27Is not going as expected.38:46Please concludes the overview. So this was the big umbrella. We looked at a lot of things for the platform. We're gonna go back to the platform when we talk about programmability, but 1st, let's dig deeper into some of the product.38:52Starting at the edge of the network with the MX product line, and I shouldn't change this slide to say MX and catalyst. Because if you haven't noticed more and more Catalyst device are being advertised within the Meraki portfolio. We're starting this journey, it's definitely new.39:08But we start having the 1st 8000 series that are.39:28Capable of connecting to dashboard. As any new product, please go look at documentation, ok? It's, it's a new product. There are some caveats in some cases, it's an evolving story, but it's nice to see that again the single harder story is continuing.39:34It's evolving and it's expanding.39:54On that note, it doesn't mean that the MX security appliance is not getting any polished new feature. Just a quick overview, not everything that was made available, but I think probably the biggest three announcement BGP, you might be familiar, it was released in.39:59Version 18, it was expanded in version 19 and the new version 26. So more and more capabilities in term of what you can configure the visibility, the the ability to see the routes and decide how the traffic is flowing through your.40:17For out of VPN domain using BGP. So again, this is for a scalable deployment or if you have an exchange point, maybe you have your Meraki environment, you have your termination point for your VPN, and then you have a big data center with a lot of machines and you don't want to manually input all those routes.40:37BGP is an amazing solution to automate that part and obviously to have a dynamic proven protocol that will update all your routes within your auto VPN domain.40:57Without having to do anything. We also released VRS in beta, this is again a 1st iteration. It does require you to enable it within dashboard and also it has some strong requirement on firmware so maybe.41:09There's gonna be additional announcement. I wouldn't say this is a feature that if you want tested nowadays, probably you need to have a separate organization because it requires you to be on the latest and greatest firmware, which is beta and we do not recommend to deploy it fully, but if you want to start your journey.41:25If you want to start seeing this, it's definitely a path you can take by simply having separate organization couple of x, and you can start testing if it does what you want. Last but not least, another announcement that went a little bit under the radar but I think it's another beta that is quite interesting.41:45Access so virtual mxs, we used to have the capability of deploying a virtual MX in public clouds. And now in visa, we also have the support for KVM and asxi, so if you have a private data center, if you want to have a more scalable environment, if you want to have a.42:05Consistency expanding to this deployment with a virtual machine, you can now test it.42:25Bear in mind, still in beta process has a few steps to perform, but it's not rocket science. You just need to follow the guide to the team to be able to deploy it successfully. It does require a license. You don't pay for the physical hardware, but there is a license associated with BMX.42:32Oh DMX as well, if you are a customer using any secure service edge solution, or if you're using 3rd party VPN tunnel in general, this is the ability to.42:52To use multiple uplink for your IPsec tunnels. We know how important it is to aggregate, get additional throughput, be able to redistribute traffic and, you know, even having seamless failover if one of the link of the destination is failing, you can leverage this.43:12Feature with a couple of clicks. There are a couple of requirements, you need the MX to be running version 19 at least and the key management process must be IKEP two.43:32Routine must be set to static. We do not support BGP right now. How does it look like inside the dashboard? Let me go and have a quick demo here. Hopefully I'm already on the right network. Yes. If you go under security and configure.43:44Sure.44:03Site VPN, you have the usual setting for site to site VPN and then we have the IPsec VPN peers. Here you can define a primary peer 1st, so you can add peer. Once you have the peer configured, you have the option to add a.44:04Secondary review for that specific.44:24And just editing the primary peer, obviously you have the traditional configuration for the public IP address, the shared secret, the remote ID, the routing behavior, and so on. And you also have two new toggles which one is for multi uplink or for IP.44:28You just need to enable it and you can fail over directly to the internet. So if something goes wrong with the tunnel, you can switch the traffic and just send it out directly.44:47Last but not least, health checks, you can see here Google health checks can be defined by use, so it can be an internal resource, an external resource, something that should be available across the SSC domain, you name it. So again.44:59You're seeing Google here just because you can configure your health checks with a name and the endpoint that you need to test in order to understand if the connection is working properly and also bottom.45:16Let's jump into the switching component and which component is.45:37Probably the biggest one, the busiest one, the one that is most spoke about, I've seen there are already other AS series I've participated into a session. So this is more of a refresher and to make sure that we're all on the same page of what is changing, what is available for you. It's not a deep dive session on how.45:42How to enable it in dashboard, but if you check for other ES series, there are plenty of those that talks about. So just as a reminder, just as a little bit of a teaser for MS switching. What's the story?46:02Here we are allowing you to onboard the Catalyst switches within dashboard. What's the reasoning here? 1st and foremost is unified hardware. You buy one platform, one piece of method, and that device could work standalone, could be onboarded in dashboard, could be associated with Catalyst Center.46:22You choose, and if you change idea, you change the hardware stays the same. At the moment we have models availability, 9200 9500 9390 3509610 with different models compa.46:42I always recommend it's on the slide. Actually, I'm gonna post it because this is super important. The.47:03Full list of support model hopefully. Here we go. Here if you scroll down you have information about to onboard it and so on. And if you go, you have a table that explains two different configuration modes.47:11Because we can choose. Again, we give you the freedom to do what you prefer and what makes more sense in your environment.47:31If you look at the cloud configuration column at the bottom you have the full list of supported model or which if you go with device configuration, we also have the full list of supported model. They are different. So double check it as much as you can.47:40What has changed? This story started a long time ago. I used to be a Meraki trainer and the journey of unified hardware started a long time ago. It used to be a switch with a container, with iOS XE on top with a container.48:03Connecting to the cloud. What has changed is that now we can do that.48:21Cloud native integration from iOS XE. There is NO additional piece of software. It's the same iOS version that is running on every single switch also has capabilities to connect to the Meraki dashboard. Obviously, we need some minimum firmware version. This is constantly a.48:27Double check the recommended version because usually the latest version has announcement, has additional benefit, has improvement, has more functionality, but in general starting from.48:47Seventeen.fifteen.four sorry the the seventeen.fifteen.one and above you are able to transition to containerless or to deploy a device directly as containerless. If you have a switch in your environment that are unmanaged and you want to onboard them, just upgrade them 1st.49:01What is available in dashboard and you should be good to go.49:20As I mentioned before, two configuration modes. This is the most important part. Configuration source cloud, configuration source device. Configuration source cloud, the device will behave exactly as any other Meraki switch.49:26With also the limitation. So if there's AGRP running in your environment, if you migrate the configuration source cloud, AGRP will not be available because we do not have it in dashboard. It focus on cloud simplicity. You will get the same feature set that you get with.49:44The MS line plus some are done because the hardware for has additional capabilities here and there.50:04If you think about it in this case, the single source of truth of the configuration will become dashboard. You make the changes in the cloud dashboard, those changes are pushed on the switch or the switches if more than one.50:14This is the most UI driven, this is the easiest, this is the simplest way. On the other hand, because we do understand you might have core switches with very complex configuration, with a lot of tweaks, with a lot of process, with something that is not available in dashboard that is vital for you.50:30Does it mean that you're cut off the beauty of dashboard? Absolutely NO. We have configuration source device. In this mode, those which will retain the configuration locally. You will still have CLI access. You will be able to.50:50Input those commands. You will be able to use this which exactly as you did before. What we're adding on top is monitoring through dashboard. Dashboard in this case will serve as the assurance for those device. You will not be able to make changes on a device.51:09Onboarded as configuration source device, you will be able to see that you will be able to run basic troubleshooting, you will be able to have alerts, you will be able to see that device in the network topology. So it will be part of your environment retaining that configuration autonomy that you.51:27I want to have because your CLI expert because there's too many complex configuration on it because you needed to run specific additional containers or script or whatever it is. So they're pulled available, you just pick and choose, you can mix and match.51:47You can be in a situation where access is super easy. I'm gonna go configuration source cloud core, super complex, I'm gonna go configuration source device. They can be in the same network. If you're wondering how do you migrate between the two? Well, as long as you have a DNA line.52:05So you are entitled, so there is a whole program to allow you to migrate those devices. So essentially if you have a DNA license, you can repurpose it to act as a Meraki license. I will refer to documentation for this but also get in touch with your sales rep if you are in a situation where you want to try.52:25You won't see how it works. It's definitely the latest and greatest and you can just access the feature straight away.52:45How does it look like in dashboard? Which is the thing that we care the most about it. 1st and foremost I need the right dashboard. Again, bright light theme here, but we are in.52:54An organization that is located in San Francisco. We can go under switching monitor switches. We do have our list of switch. You can see here that some models are traditional MS switches, some are catalyst nine 300 9200, whatever is going on here. And we also can see the.53:09Configuration source, so configuration source cloud means that the.53:28Cloud is the single source of truth. You make changes in the cloud, changes are pushed to the device, NO local CLI access here. Vice versa for device configuration device dashboard is acting as a monitoring platform.53:32If you don't see the column, as always, just take a look, make sure to select the configuration source from the option and add it. For our demo, we're gonna jump. Let's see, I'm gonna open one of the three. I checked it.53:49It had something going on. Okay, there's something going on. Configuration source device. As I said, this is still CLI based, still controlled by you, but we can have the diagram, we can see the ports, we can see the connectivity over time. We can see the usage. We.54:08Can see the clients that are connected. We can have information about the device like the running firmware version, the management IP address, the device up time, and we can view this device within the topology.54:27We also have access to the cloud CLI e.g.. So in this case, the beauty is yes, you can SSH directly into the device or oh my I click the button on my mouse. Or you can launch the terminal directly in here.54:41Now, because I have read only permission on this organization, I can only issue read only commands. But.55:00If I do have right permission on the organization, I will also be able to configure something on the switch directly from the cloud. Maybe interface something super boring. You can see it here right away. It's the same CLI like.55:10Experience. You do have a little bit of a session history so you can see who connected, what they did and so on. And also you have a quick access to some show commands. So again, maybe you have a 1st line support and they're like, ok, whatever issues with the switch.55:30Before opening a support case or escalating, I want to have CDP details, I want to have the multicast information, whatever, just run the commands from the dropdown, grab the output, put it in the case and escalate if you need those type of information. So very easy if you're not skilled.55:48With CLI and also the feature if you do know how to use CLI. Last but not least, one of my favorite here configuration history, every time you work on this device, you should still remember to save the configuration, as I said, the cloud is just acting as a monitoring device.56:07But because we're there, we can look at the device, we can see the last known configuration, we can see the previous one and we can compare it straight away within dashboards, so without having to leave the place, you're able to see everything that has changed, you can copy it, you can store it, you can save it, you can download it.56:27It's a bit of a different story for, let me go back, switches in cloud configuration mode. So let's grab this one. I don't know. You can see here that the configuration source is cloud different, the look and feel is the same. You still have the connectivity.56:48If you still have the usage, if you want, you can navigate to the port and if you select the port, you have the ability to edit that port, which is not available if you're going for device configuration. Here the device is fully managed from dashboard.57:08But you still have access to read only CLI. So in this case, if you want to troubleshoot something very specifically, you want to know the status of a specific switchers you want to run a specific show commands.57:25That is not available or is not surfaced in the Meraki interface, you can still launch the terminal, you can still navigate, you can still issue those commands. One word of advice, 1st and foremost, for all this functionality you do need organizationally access and enable cloud native CLI to see this button.57:41And you need to use the new version of the page. There is an old version. If you're seeing the old version, this is not available, just switch to the new one and you will get the full CLI experience. Last but not least, there's a conf additional configuration.58:01Which is mainly for security purposes. By default, only read is available, but if you go in the configuration, you do have a dedicated search section that by default is read only, but if a device is in device configuration mode.58:16You can configure and allow the issuing commands directly from the dashboard, even configuration commands, and you can have an additional layer of security by saying every time you open the CLI from the cloud, reauthenticate. So we're not risking of you leaving the laptop open, going away.58:34And somebody going in and changing something in the configuration of the switch. Again, these are all configurable options.58:54What's been included in this? Well, I'm gonna go with a little bit of what is in the recommended release and a little bit of what's in the generally available, more to come as I said you before with version 26 dropping yesterday. So if you want to look at what's the future and go and look at the release note for version 20.59:04The six but for now, if you stay on the recommended release, we do have adaptive policy store control radius multi authentication port schedules, Mac allow lists and many more features that are configurable from. Moving to the latest version, version 17.59:22Point 18.2, we introduced rooted ports. So if you want to lower the burden on the switch and you're using a lot of layer three interfaces, you can have rooted ports. You can have BGP. We support VRF light, we support rapid per.59:41Some model of which we also introduced in service software update. This is only available for the 95.01:00:01Hundred family right now and obviously you need to 1st upgrade to 17 point 18.12 maybe in the future be able to leverage this. This is just a summary, ok? I there's a link I'm gonna post it again because it's there's so many.01:00:10Things that are getting released and I.01:00:29Really want to have you access to the latest and greatest so again if you want to take a look, if you want to take a read, it's definitely the best source of information. Here you will have each and every version. You can see now that we have the information for version 26 as well.01:00:33Notable feature what's happening here? We've expanded to more switches. We now support industrial ethernet switches, so if you have harsh environment.01:00:54And you need or want to deploy these type of switches you can and also additional feature mainly for the 9350 handling in these type of scenarios.01:01:05When you are gonna be working with also have an enhanced experience for firmware upgrade. I tried to find a network where I had a firmware upgrade going not so long ago. I couldn't find it, so apologies, this would not gonna have an intensive demo. You have.01:01:22To be on the slide but pretty much there's a new column in the table that gives you the upgrade status and we check through the phases. You will know when the firmware is scheduled, when the firmware is downloading, when the switch is applying the firmware, when the switch is rebooting because it is trying to apply.01:01:41By the new firmware if an upgrade was canceled and while the device completed the firmware. This is not only available if you do upgrade in bulk and you upgrade them all together. This is also available if you do staged upgrade, which will be amazingly useful because.01:02:01At this point, you might have switches updating a different point across the week, across the month, and you can keep track of who did what when and if something didn't go as expected, you do have that level of visibility.01:02:21And this is also available within the switch, so again, I had to rely on the slide, but this is how it will look like. So you will see all the phases that we go through. It's the upgrade schedule, firmware downloaded, firmware installed, firmware verified, and finally the upgrade completed.01:02:36This bear in mind, I put a huge under the top. This is for configuration source cloud. This is only available because dashboard is the controller because dashboard is managing that switch. For configuration source device you still rely on the traditional.01:02:57Method.01:03:17Does it mean that's the only news? No, we do have something new for the MS platform as well. I'm gonna show it to you because I think it's way better than on the slide whenever we can. So I'm gonna go through the switch, I'm gonna grab.01:03:28A new MS hundred and 50 that this is available for all other MS device there is a device health app now for.01:03:43All the switches you have power supply notices power over usage, you can see the list of who is using that power. So if you are trying to find a little bit more energy, you can look into this and definitely find it.01:03:53And what is new for the MS platform, you do have system resources. You can see the status of the CPU, you can see the status of the protocol, the packet forwarded as well as the status of the memory. So if something odd is going on or if the broadcast storm is happening.01:04:10And the switch is taking the punch, you can come in here and monitor that directly from dashboard about Catalyst and wireless now.01:04:28Shorter section here, don't worry. We've seen some of the high feature, I will not reiterate over what we've seen at the beginning of the session. I thought it would make more sense to see those features in the timeline because that's the place where it's easier to spot what is going on. It's a bit harder than.01:04:47You will go and actually check manually a packet capture, but again, it's something that is available. It's in the platform, you can access it for many different places, it's always the same feature. What will be added in this section, we're gonna talk about.01:05:07Radio resource management. Radio source management has gone under a bit of a rename, so you might be seeing that as what was previously called out of F is now called RRM radio resource management. And on top of that, if you have an advanced license, you can also.01:05:24Leverage some AI feature for radio resource management. How does it look like? Well, again, it must be enabled 1st.01:05:44And it will utilize AI learning data to not only suggest changes in the radio frequency environment but apply those changing and modify the way your network behave to obtain more stable, less changing, less factored.01:05:55Wireless network.01:06:15We do recommend to enable these during a maintenance window mainly because it needs to collect a little bit of data and some things will change in the environment when you enable it. It's available under wireless radio settings, and you can see here we have the.01:06:17Button ok feature here for the AI RM must be enabled and this is just starting to using an AI engine to optimize the radio, the channel, the transmit power. You can go a step further and.01:06:39If you have a lot of access point and you've you've learned is the hard way for sure, if you try to deploy 5 ghz network and you have access point broadcasting at 2.4, they will overlap at 2.4. So wouldn't it be great if we could disable some of the 2.4 radio? Yes, would it be amazing if we could do it automatic?01:06:56Yes, so this is a flexible radio assignment, you can just enable it and the AI will calculate which access point should stop broadcasting at 2.4 while still maintaining coverage. We do also have channel planning. This is mainly to.01:07:17Mitigate disruptive RS events, mainly DFS events, weather radars and so on. And we also have busy hours, so every time I RM will make a change, you can opt in. Do you want to do it right on.01:07:36Way or do I want to do it only off the busy hour because this will change handled client might disconnect. Yes, it's an improvement, but it requires some recalculation of applying some different configurations so you might want to use busy hour to just collect the data over time and then apply them overnight.01:07:53Over the weekend, whatever it makes more sense for you.01:08:13Another hidden feature, now I'm gonna show this to you ins the wireless roaming health. It's huge, I think I do like it a lot I'm gonna show you where it is. Sadly, I don't have an environment where I have an hour access.01:08:22Going to make it.01:08:41Look good, but this is available under assurance analytics overview. This is the assurance page. It's also fairly new. This is one of the pages that I mentioned over time where you can see last 2 h, last day, last week or a custom time, how your network is doing, in terms of the.01:08:43The network device, the infrastructure connectivity, and the applications.01:09:02This is a place where you can select a specific tile and then you can dig deeper if there is anything that might interest you or that you want to take action on. Very useful, the wireless tab. In the wireless tab, you do have the traditional association authentication IP address.01:09:08Problems, but you also have signal quality packet loss, latency. So if you want to dig here, you can see which access point, which device is more impacted and so on. As well as having access to the roaming tab. Now the roaming tab is giving you an overview of the roaming events.01:09:25All of them, as well as the bedrooms and the suboptimal rooms over time. So if you have placed your access point on a map, so if you position them, you will be able to view the events over time, the darker the color, the more.01:09:44Bedrooms you're having and because you have placed the access point on a map, now if I will have more than one, it will show me the events and it will show me which access point connection is more problematic, highlighting where a client is having an issue migrating between two different access.01:10:03Point.01:10:23This is more of a mention, a new tool for splash pages. If you use splash pages and you want to have the same user experience from dashboard, you now can. Splash page is available as a live tool in every access point. So you just navigate to the tool tab.01:10:27And you can emulate the experience of the user to see if everything is working correctly. This is another one that is a minor thing, but it's important if you are evolving your wireless network, you're deploying powerful and powerful access point and your switching infrastructure can keep up with power. Some.01:10:44All of the functionality of those access points will be disabled because they don't have enough hour over Ethernet to do all they can do.01:11:04How can you control this? You do have the power settings that are available under wireless power settings, and here you will be able to determine what's the course of action. I don't have enough power. What I want to do, device defaults I want to enable three radio, I want to be on a do.01:11:14Radio with single ethernet. I want to be in a dual radio with dual ethernet. So what should we prioritize? And obviously this is available for each and every access point model that we support in dashboard from the series that has this ability to.01:11:34Last but not least about wireless, same story as with the catalyst, switching. Can we monitor our wireless environment? Yes, you're a customer that maybe has Meraki switches and you still have a wireless.01:11:52Phone controller. Well, let me show you.01:12:09It's available on the organization monitor wireless controller, and here we onboarded a VLC, it's in monitor mode. Again configuration is still on the controller, it's not going anywhere else, but we start having information about the access.01:12:16This point, we can view the status, we can receive alerts. We still have access to the cloud CLI as well, and we can see all the access points are connected.01:12:36Through this controller into my environment. So again, a unified view to be able to see all the things combined together, which brings me to the programmability part, which again, it's a beefy one. Before starting this, I want to.01:12:46To perform an action. So it's a demo that requires a little bit of time to trigger, so we're gonna go.01:13:06Into me what I'm doing. I'm gonna go to a specific switch. I'm gonna go to my access switch. I'm gonna select a specific port and I will make a mess. I will head it edit the port and I will disable power over internet. Now, this is a port with an access.01:13:13This point connected.01:13:33And yeah, I will see the access point going offline at a certain point, but that's not the point of the demonstration. So just give it a minute, it will run in the background and hopefully we'll see what is going on here. Cause this serves as an introduction to Cisco workflow. Cisco workflow is a way.01:13:35To.01:13:55Enable automation with little to NO code within dashboard. What's the beauty of this is that you have a single place where your automation could be, you can define those. We have an exchange hub where you can download pre made workflows and edit those to suit your.01:13:56Or need. We can.01:14:16Trigger workflows through, what's the name of it? Web books. We can trigger workflow manually. We can trigger workflow based on a specific time of the day, so all the logic to perform these tasks automatically.01:14:19Is directly within dashboard. You don't need a 3rd party controller. It was available before, but you needed to have some kind of infrastructure, knowledge about API and schedule those things, maintain them, keep them up to date, you get the idea. Workflow is enabling you to use the programmability of API.01:14:37Not only within dashboard but also with other Cisco product and 3rd party system. We have a very long list of systems that could be integrated and the main goal is to accelerate the use of automation and.01:14:58Pretty much automate boring repetitive tasks. As you can see here, it's a drag and drop interface. It doesn't cover only Meraki, we can see here we have ansible. We have AI agent integration. We do have a catalyst center in there. We do have part of the security.01:15:12Business from Cisco. So again, they needed a place where to store these.01:15:32Container and dashboard was chosen, but from here you can coordinate work for other Cisco product as well. This available, NO additional costs, you just have it, you should have a workflow tab at the at the end of your list.01:15:38Now, just to give you an idea, let me show it to you. This is the workflow that I just figured before. So if I go under automation.01:15:58Workspace, what I'm trying to do is something happened and I do have a workflow that I created that is called device status on a reachable triggered by a webhook. Through all the components that I showed you today, I have an alert set up that if a device goes offline, it connects.01:16:08To a webhook.01:16:28That is directly here within workflow, so NO 3rd party external system. We're gonna take a look at the workflow very briefly, not expecting you to fully understand it, but just take it with a pinch of salt for me was, I don't know, 4 h exercise pretty much.01:16:30And what is happening, a webhook is triggered.01:16:50If something arrived and is a device down, all these action will be performed. I will query the organization for all the device. I will find the serial number of the device and then I will go in and I will get any configuration change that happened in the last 20 min. I will.01:16:53You'll get the CDP and LLDP information for that device. I will get the device availability over time. I will hand or I will collect.01:17:13The recent device events on the device and I will check if there's any more upgrade that was played on the device. And all this thing will be fed into an LLM prompt. This is important from outside, so we can connect to a 3rd party system.01:17:22Feed those information all together, return a possible result, compose an email message and receive an email. Now the perfect time for the email to arrive will be now takes a little bit for.01:17:40The, the trigger of this but obviously is not coming, so we can obviously see the so we can see what went on over time you can see that I have already other workflows that are running for me.01:17:57One is a scheduled one that is checking temperature inside and outside and it's giving suggestion hey it's older outside, close the window. Hey it's other outside, open the window, you can save energy, whatever it is. So you can definitely use that.01:18:17And well, I'm gonna move on to the next one. Hopefully, we're gonna have beauty of live demo. I should receive an email soon, but it's not happening yet. So moving briefly to the next demo, otherwise I will show you a previous email that I received, but I really wanted to have.01:18:36The one that I just triggered.01:18:57For you to see it in action. Still on the side of this is quite interesting, we have the support for all two point oh. Traditionally, we will use API here to integrate, but with all 2.0, we can now.01:19:00Integrate application in a more seamless way with limited permission, avoiding to rotate API key, avoiding to tie the specific task to a user, but instead to an application and it will be simpler to audit what is going on because in the integration port.01:19:20You will have all the integration listed. You want to revoke one, it's just one click away. You want to understand if it's still used is one click away. You want to restrict permission, you can. So again, quick demo here just to show you. It's a portal that is called integrate.cisco.com.01:19:40Plenty of guys here. I'm just giving you the hint of what it looks like obviously you're not gonna be expert in this after the session, but just put it on your radar that this exists. You can list your application. I have here e.g. an integration with terraform. So I do have an application that is running terraform.01:20:00I need this application to perform some changes in dashboard. Here I have some basic information, authorization, the scopes. So again, we can limit.01:20:20What this integration can access fairly easily from here and then through documentation you can learn how to integrate that. So it's a simple HTTP exchange and the user has to input username and password once and authorize authorize the application so you.01:20:30Still need an administrative user to kick off the process, but after that the application will just go.01:20:50On its own, which brings me to at the last topic and before moving to last topic finally the email has arrived. Yay! Okay, so going back one step, here it is the email that I've received.01:20:57And you can see I've collected some data, device availability, configuration changelog, LDP information, recent device event, and this will be more mechanical. I will have to go through and understand what happened. But because I piped in an AI agent I was able to have a quick summary. This is the specific.01:21:14This point in this specific network at this specific time, a recent configuration change disabled power over ethernet on switch. This is the switch, this is the port. The likelihood of this issue is a power loss due to power over internet being disabled. And again, it's something you can do within few.01:21:34Few place it's something that doesn't require a massive knowledge, takes a little bit of time to get used to, but once you have it.01:21:54Your imagination is the limit of what you can do using workflow. Closing on the last few minutes talking about AI innovation. We do have a AI assistant.01:22:01Within dashboard is available in the top right corner, so what's happening here is the assistant access and you can query the assistant. I can go an issue.01:22:17With AP, you can query about a specific client. You can query about the status of your network. You can even use the AI system to see.01:22:35Summarize information, you can say, hey, I want to open a case.01:22:54After we had this complex conversation about what is going on in my network, can you write me the perfect case summary so I can quickly open it? And the system can also submit directly with your approval a case to support. One thing to.01:22:58My mind is that.01:23:18It will open with the lowest level of priority. But again, it doesn't mean you shouldn't leverage it. It can write you the summary and then you can manually go and open the case and assign the correct priority and you will be able to leverage the assistant in every workflow. Another key word here.01:23:20Workflows. You've seen the workflows that I showed you before. Some can be triggered manually, some can be triggered on a schedule, some can be triggered by an event, some can be triggered by the assistant. How do we bridge the fact that we want consistency of specific tasks? Well.01:23:39What you can do is.01:23:59Have a conversation with the AI assistant and ask the assistant, hey, is there any workflow that you can run for me? So in some cases, let me go in here. I do have one that I originally designed as tier one troubleshooting. So this.01:24:01This case I can have a single access point or a tier one support user requiring to perform a specific action or a series of action that I want to receive before escalating the case.01:24:21You can see here in the meantime, I had a current staff who's recently learned kind of the same, the same information for the access point. But I can also go, is there any.01:24:35You can suggest use of live demos, and while it's thinking, we're gonna.01:24:51Come back to this in a minute in the interest of time. This is pretty much summary of what I said before case submission submission. You can use natural language, it automatically create the context, it provides you with serial number to device.01:25:09The staff who's.01:25:29It's submitted this severity four, but because before submitting is asking the user for confirmation, you can just grab that text copy and paste it. You can even use it to escalate internally, ok? So if you have tier one tier two tier three support, you're like, ok, use the system to summarize it. It will be easier for the next.01:25:31Engineer that will take care of whatever problem might be happening in the network. Do I have a response? Okay, give me a list of what seems to be related. In this case, I want to do tier one access point troubleshoot.01:25:51You can just give you the five. This is the workflow that we want to use? Yes, and it's gonna say, can you please give me the serial number of the access point?01:26:09We're gonna go with the one that is already in here. It can be pre filled but it isn't static and it will be performing a series of actions. So in this case, it's not the smartest thing, it's just collecting the logs, it's collecting any alerts on the device and it's trying to reboot.01:26:26The access point. But again, it's a way to structure a process and have it done exactly the same way.01:26:45Every single time. So in this case, again, a little bit of a different email layout, but you get the idea. I received it is not available, great, it's an assurance alert, it's a connectivity problem and there are NO recent network events related to this device. So again.01:26:56It's finding this system one with each other to get the best results.01:27:16Last two slides, we spoke about subscription, and maybe you're on the essential tier, but if you have a subscription you can try advantage tier feature for a limited period of time. So if you're a customer that is currently working with subscription and you want to go down that road and it's like, oh, I wanna.01:27:25Be a cool AI integration, AI feature.01:27:44You can sign up on your own. So it's easy to initiate, it's self paced and you can just file those functionalities. Another thing this probably went under the radar if you're a big customer like you should be, the network limit, the number of devices you.01:27:46Network was recently a year ago raised to 5000 so you can have more device in a single network. Obviously we're talking about MR and MS mainly MTNMP have a little bit of a lower limit and the MX counter network, it's still.01:28:07Two. Again, this is more of a hey, just so you know, and if you want to start combining those networks that you couldn't manage with the previous limit, now you can or if your plan to deploy something at scale, you definitely can. And last.01:28:24By a miles, it's the idle timeout as the changes happen. If you're managing multiple organizations, make sure to align the idle timeout because now we are aligned to the lowest one regardless if you have a session logged in into that organization.01:28:42Or not, which means if you're logged in into the organization with NO timeout and you have another organization you have access to that has a 2 min timeout.01:29:01The timeout will be the minimum of the food, so it will be 2 min. So just bear that in mind if you're noticing a behavior, this changed recently so it's very easy to go and check. Again, you can use workflow to check all the idle timeout in your organization. You can use API or you can you always use the web interface.01:29:10It's.01:29:30Which brings me to at the end. I know we went a little bit over hopefully so most of you stayed for even the extra time. I really hope that everything was.01:29:37Of use, I would say. Just in terms of sharing next steps, there should be a survey coming through so definitely appreciate any feedback you can give us. We have a little bit of a plan for next quarter to dig deeper into programmability. So the things I've showed you today, more of as a.01:29:55High level review we want to spend a little bit more time because as I said, it looks great when you're like ok three use cases, you have it but digging deeper into understanding this feature is definitely key.01:30:15Yeah, so hopefully you're gonna join us again. Hopefully you're gonna share this session with colleagues. Somebody asked if it was recorded Yes. I don't know when it will come out, ok? Because this is a global or eh project that rolls out across different technology.01:30:31It might take a little bit of time, ok? So I don't have a time frame, but definitely keep an eye on the video page that I shared at the beginning. I'm gonna share it again hopefully, where is it? Here we go. Expert insight series. Also, if you search for the expert insight series within the Cisco community.01:30:49It's.01:31:10Oops, my PowerPoint has decided to close. Let's do it properly, NO, ok. And I don't know what, let me stop sharing my screen and we can we can have a chat face to face. So definitely look in the.01:31:11Cisco community for additional information about these sessions and hopefully we didn't have, I think Ben did an amazing job. I'm gonna give a round of applause to Ben because when we're presenting and doing this thing, I saw some question coming through but it's always hard to keep up with, with everything.01:31:31So, thank you so much Ben for answering all the questions. Thank you so much for being here.01:31:51And, yeah, I hope it was useful and I hope you have a great rest of your day. If there's any additional thing that we missed, we're gonna try and go to.01:31:57The questions, but we are at time thank you so much for joining. Thank you so much for staying and let us know as much as you can. One last question coming through, I can answer it on the fly, is a RRM a three feature or you do you need the advanced license? So the RRM basic, it's.01:32:13Functionality is included with everything AI RRM requires the advanced license. So you can always go into dashboard and check the RRM tab, it will show you exactly which feature you have available based on your tier of license. So just one click away you can check in.01:32:34It's just as a reminder is under wireless configure radio settings and that's where you have the RM tab available.01:32:53Well, that means that thank you so much. I hope you're gonna have a lovely rest of your day and the rest of the week and enjoy the weekend when it comes. We're all waiting for that, right? So have a great day everyone and yeah, keep using Meraki, keep learning through dashboards, keep expanding the functionality. So.01:33:05Thank you, thank you, thank you.01:33:24
