So hello everyone and thank you for joining our event today on mastering hybrid network management with global Overview and Cisco Catalyst Center global manager. I'm Abby from the customer's.00:09Success team at Cisco and will be your host for today's call. Your phone lines have been muted upon joining the call, so if you have any questions, please direct them to the Q and A panel. Depending on timing, we will open up the floor for live Q and A at the end of today's event.00:20Lastly, if you have any feedback after attending today's event, please fill out the survey at the end and please note we will share the slides and recording with everyone that registered for the event within the next couple of days. Today we have Shaya Solorin, product management leader and technical marketing engineer from the network platform team.00:36He covers both Meraki and Catalyst Center platform strategy and technical marketing focused on agentic AI, CCGM, global overview, virtual appliance of Catalyst Center and more. And we also have Prabjit Singh Bega, tech lead, technical marketing engineer from the platform, network platform team as well.00:55He covers catalyst center platform features like virtual appliance, AI assistant, CCGM, global overview, and more. With that, I will now pass it over to Shy to get things started. Thank you, Abby, and good morning, everyone. So, my name is. I'm the one in the.01:16Right here.01:35Leading the product management and marketing for network platform and also with me is who is going to be doing the other half. So today we have an exciting agenda for you. We're gonna talk a little bit about the industry landscape as far as where the market is with with hybrid and Cisco enterprise solutions.01:37I will cover the global overview.01:57Capability within the Meraki cloud, and then I'm gonna hand it over to who is going to cover the Catalyst Center global manager, also known as CCGM followed up with some resources. So with that, as part of network platform, today this is the industry's most drafted platform.02:00We are seeing and managing over 40 million network devices. So when we say 40 million, we're speaking to switches.02:19Wireless access points and routers. Couple other things if you look at the right, we are we're helping manage over at this point about 1.25 billion unique connected clients across our infrastructures, and if you look at the bottom right, we're seeing over 5 trillion data points per day.02:28This is really important as we're talking about leveraging AI and agentic ops. This is the massive data set that we have that really powers the ability of us to deliver the superb AI capabilities that we have.02:48Now, with that we want to talk a little bit about what we're hearing from our customers, and which is leading us to the solution. So with Cisco ran a network customer feedback session last year, and one of the the top three areas that came.03:06Was one unified management. How do we manage separate controllers? It adds a lot of overhead increases risk and it's misconfigurations. And this comes from the fact that more than 75 % of our customers do have on prem and cloud and cloud services, so are in what we call the.03:25The hybrid configuration mode where they have to have at least two controllers, if not more. The next has been about AI and assurance.03:45And the the common feedback that we got was AI across Cisco business unit tools should be integrated through a single pane of glass. So as we're integrating here, both the on prem and the cloud work where have the ability to have AI that does go across the both platforms as a whole. And also of course how do we simply.03:54Operations. A major pain point is a lack of integrations across the operations making processes more complex than they should be. And we're looking at how do we make this easier for you to manage your network as far as simple operations by having less panels and less dashboards that you have to manage or being able to execute.04:14Few more from one.04:34So what we have is we have network global network management options for all customers. And as we said, we're gonna cover here two of them. We're gonna talk about global manager, which is really focused for the on prem customers using Catalyst Center, and then we have global overview, which is really targeted for everyone.04:36Else, but keep in mind that even if you have catalyst centers only and you want to be able to consolidate and view them on the web, you can use global overview just for your on prem as well. But we do have these two options for that should cover all of the use cases that we have.04:55So if you think about on prem, we have cattles in a global manager, which project will cover, will cover shortly. It's global multicattle center management scales up to 25 controllers, but unfortunately it is for on prem only. So with this we have, it does not work if you have branches on Meraki.05:12So that's one of the blind spot it has. We do have the Meraki cloud management. This has been a great product. It's, it's managing thousands of customers today.05:32It is designed for scaled cloud solutions supports millions of devices, and unfortunately it's been limited to being cloud managed, right? So it does not manage any of the catalyst centers. So what we did as a team here is we do have the hybrid network management, and that's what we added the global overview.05:43And global overview is really just a part of, of capabilities that we developed on top of the Meraki cloud. And with that we have the ability to, have, it's designed for the hybrid solutions, it's simple and seamless integrations between the two shows efficient health and visibility. But with that.06:02That you can now manage both Catalyst Center and Meraki.06:22And on top of that, of not just Meraki, we give you the ability to go and have visibility into multiple orgs and multiple catalyst centers. So it is a very, very effective view especially for large enterprise, we have multiple catalyst centers and multiple orgs within the Meraki world.06:27And also we are working on ensuring that we have AI assistant everywhere. As you look across all of the, the Cisco platforms, we're adding AI assistance to all the platforms and also as we have now with we're adding this to Meraki already has that it's being released.06:46On catalyst center, and also we're having a assistant being able to offer these capabilities on global Manager for calls and global manager for customers and also having this being able to run from the Meraki. With the Meraki and global overview, we'll look at how we extend this so now this is going to work horizontally across both Meraki.07:06In the catalyst center.07:26So the the question is that a lot of customers have is really how do I pick the right solution for my organization? So if you look at global overview, it's really designed for the global IT teams with cloud and on prem networks. Global overview provides a single holistic view into network health.07:29In alerts within the Meraki dashboard cloud interface. The target customers that we have is, is again customers with hybrid environments across both Meraki and Catalyst Center, but keep in mind, we do have three use cases for global overview. It could be used for Meraki only where you have multiple orgs.07:47It could be used where you have multiple catalyst centers and you want to have a single dashboard. And of course we also have the hybrid where you can use both global both Meraki and Catalyst centers. So deployment type for that is cloud based with on prem integrations as well. And with that we offer simplified operations from a unified cloud interface.08:06We have faster troubleshooting across both Meraki and Catalyst centers, and of course enterprise capability. As we're bringing together multiple catalyst centers and multiple orgs within Meraki, we're gonna be able to now give you visibility to scale never seen before.08:27And the beauty of it is the licensing is already included with all the networking devices, so none of what we're gonna hear about today is gonna require new licenses. If you're using Catalyst Center Meraki, you already have all the licenses you need to get started here. Now, as we're moving toward Catalyst Center global manager, it's really for a global teams manager.08:43Being large on prem networks, and literally and also involving multiple catalyst centers. For customers that only have a single catalyst center, this does not really bring the value. It really starts to bring the value where you have multiple catalyst center instances, that you want to have a single dashboard that brings them all together.09:03And then and also we have customers that prefer to self host and operate the network environments on their own. So we do have a set of customers that are due to data, data retention policies or inability to use cloud. They do need to keep all of this on prem and catalyst center helps deliver that. Deployment objects for online on.09:24Premises management, and again we offer simplified operations faster troubleshooting and enterprise scalability and the licensing is identical to that.09:43So if you look at global overview, it looks, it is it is part of the it built on top of Meraki, so it's a ca it's a new capability built on top of the Meraki dashboard. It's a single cloud experience integrating Meraki and Catalyst Center, simplified for hybrid operations.09:53So again, you have the view across Meraki, estate and catalyst center. We're seeing that we're helping customers identify and resolve issues faster between network sites, device health alerts all in one view and seamlessly and secure SSO so you don't need to re authenticate, that means that if I am trying.10:11To look from the global overview, I can look at Meraki orgs, I can look at catalysts, and I'm able to click and cross launch into that. So what I need to get started here with, with the global overview, so step one, you need to have a Meraki account or create a new one.10:30And have more than one org, and we have a link here on when you create those. And remember, even if you are not a Meraki customer today and you want to just experiment with multiple catalyst centers, it doesn't cost anything to create a new Meraki account, so you just need to go and sign up for that. On step two.10:49You need to have Catalyst Center, a minimal version is 23710 or higher within any connectivity, so you're able to, to connect that that's that's an entry requirement where we have the connectivity from catalyst center into the global overview. And then you need the global overview and you can add new.11:09Organizations to it. And then with step four, you can register to Catalyst Cloud and activate the Meraki applications on Catalyst Center. So that means that you still need to go onto Catalyst Center and and create the enrollment in order to bring the two together. This is super easy, super.11:29Quick, this literally is all in a matter of minutes, assuming you have catalyst center two through 07:10 or higher.11:49So we're trying to make it very easy to get started here. So now I'm gonna switch and show you this this is already in GA and also what I'm gonna show you today is really just the beginning, we have a very exciting and very aggressive roadmap in adding a lot more capabilities and features to it. So let me go ahead and.11:57And change over here, alright Oops, That's your session here. My apologies, looks like it got locked out between started here.12:17So what you can see is in it to access you, you go to the Meraki and you log on to Meraki and what you see here is that it logs me into the Meraki glob.12:39Global of review.12:59And what you see from here is we I have a couple things. You have global overview that will show now that you can monitor and look at the schedule we're looking at. On the left here you still have organizations so you can pull down and manage multiple organizations that you have within within Meraki.13:00Key and of course we have the fine window. What you see here is on organizations on on the bottom pane here, you do see that what I have is I have catalyst centers.13:20And I also have some Meraki organizations. And this is not a lab, this is really a live environment that we're gonna demonstrate on and you can see that what you have is you have Jeets and my home organizations, networks that we have, we also have a catalyst center in here. So if we go to the global.13:33Overview on the top. One of the, one of the 1st things you want to look is health of the network insights. I want to get a holistic view of what is happening across my entire network estate. And right now what I'm showing is that I have I have the four networks.13:53And what I have is I have one of them is in good health, one of them is in fair health, and we have two that have some issues. Apparently my house is not doing well. My kids are gonna be upset about playing video games, apparently. But you can hear and then when you have poor health, everywhere you see you see the blue icon, you can go.14:09Go ahead and click and view on that. And what that will show is it's going to show me here that in my house I have four critical alerts. It also shows me that the catalyst center in the Los Angeles site has critical alerts as well that we have.14:29And everywhere you see here now, I know that we love to use this data and take it with adding the capability to always export everything into a CSV file. So wherever you see this especially if you have a long list, you want to take it, process it into your own systems or run into Excel, you can go ahead and export that. And then I'm going to.14:46Go ahead and go back here to the global overview, so we go back to the original view.15:06And what you see here is, we're continuing to also demonstrate here that offline for networking, we're also looking at all the device types that you have. So we're looking at routers and WANs. If you have core switches core switches will be considered switches like the 95 hundreds.15:13Access switches and access points. Now, you see here that we have one access point out of six, that means that across horizontally between I, we have six access points. I do have one access point in my house that is intentionally down so I can demonstrate this and I can go ahead and click that. Now.15:33We can, we can cross launch into the Meraki org so I can go ahead and click here on the, on the site and.15:53And for the critical alerts and being able to see what is happening on my house network here. And as you can see, it's gonna take me right into the alert within my Meraki dashboard. It's going to show me what the critical ones are. It's going to show me.16:00E.g., all, all the devices, it's showing me that I have right now an issue with unreachable device and and it shows you here that device tags also have cameras that are down and I also have an access points. I also have showing a Ethernet uplink speed degraded. The reason I have that is.16:18To demonstrate is, in my garage e.g. I don't have connectivity, so I'm using Ethernet over over the electrical grid and that is not a great connection. So this is a good example of showing how we're able to determine also the fact that we have.16:38On the unreliable network connection. But you can see as soon as I click that it opens what you're familiar on the left here, the navigation that you have for the Meraki dashboard. Now I'm gonna go back to global overview, and I want to demonstrate the same capability of cross launching.16:54The cross launching into catalyst center so you can see here, so I have a cattle center in San jose. And you can see that I have four critical alerts and notice that I have the cross launch icon here. Once I click on the cross launch icon.17:11It automatically gonna cross launch and bring up my Catalyst Center, and again it's gonna bring me right back to the alerts where I can look at what are the four alerts that I have as you would commonly see within Catalyst Center. Now, these cross launches, this does not circumvent any of your.17:28Existing access. One of the question is what if I have users that should have access to one and not the other? We you have to enable the same user ID across any orgs or catalyst centers that you want to be able to give access to. So if I log in and I try to cross launch to something simply you're not gonna you're not gonna.17:49Have any sort of access. So it's on a back door. We're leveraging all the existing access control and our back that you have. Now it does cross launch Catalyst Center, so I'm able to go to Catalyst Center. I'm able to see, to click and look at the actual event and what's happening just as you would normally within Catalyst Center.18:08Then if you want to go back to, to global overview, you simply need to go back to the Meraki dashboard and, and you're back to your global view that you have here. And of course for those of you that we do, I mean we we do pay attention when I'm demoing this in in dark mode and you're able to change it also in.18:28A lot more so a lot of flexibility and a lot of exciting features are coming cause we're able to look at how do we give you a global search, global inventory, a lot of capabilities.18:48To make it completely seamless and across the fact that you're managing things across cloud management and on prem. So this is very exciting and again this is very easy to get started. If you have multiple Meraki orgs, you have catalyst center, 23710 or higher.19:01This is something very easy to set up and get started with. Now I do want to call out we do have all of our, the panelists here, so we have the the product management Teams and Scott Irie on the panel, so please, if you have any questions, feel free. I have the experts here to answer any questions you have with regards to.19:16To our global overview.19:36And with that, I would like to hand this over to. Awesome shy. Let me go ahead and share my screen. Thank you so much for the, start shy and getting us started with the global overview solution that is on.19:38Dashboard today for customers that can not just manage your Meraki but also your catalyst centers. So that is great. And as I mentioned, we have our whole product management team as panelists here for both global review and CCGM. Mark, Chris, Jen Scott, everyone is here so please help answer ask any questions on the chat.19:59But if you have any, and we'll help answer.20:18But as we pivot now towards the on prem solution for the same, same problem that customers have today, where they have more than one catalyst centers and they had a very hard time going into each individual one. How, how did we solve that for an on prem level of customer that is with a virtual form factor called catalyst center global.20:21Manager. Now with the CCGM, this is for any platform of catalyst center. It can be either physical, medium large excel, three node cluster or a virtualized catalyst center, on AWS or VMware or Azure. And in the future we also have plans to bring in KB.20:41Support as well for catalyst center. So any of those can be managed right from the catalyst center global manager. So now you have two ways. So when the one that showed on global overview, you can manage any of these from there or if you have a requirement that that you want to be on prem for managing multiple catalyst center.21:02Then Callison the global Manager is a solution for that.21:22Now there might be a question whether, would I need more than one global overview or CCGM if I have my catalyst center all across the globe? And the answer there is NO. The CCGM has a very large 03:50 millisecond latency, which can cover entirely across the globe, so as long as you have 25 catalyst center.21:25Features are lesser, we can connect you through the entire globe with just one CCGM. And Meraki Cloud of course is available all across the globe, so we can, you just need one instance to get connected to all the center and have that one single pane of glass view right from here.21:44Now, just the sheer volume of the numbers of the environment or the cluster that is possible with the CCGM and global review. So today we support 25 catalyst centers, and these are three node catalyst Excel catalyst clusters. So every three node Excel is just one controller.22:03For CCGM or global overview. So like that we have on CCGM, we have 25 clusters supported today, which can equal to scale of.22:227 million plus endpoints, 800000 network devices, 600000 plus endpoint access points. So this is a really big scale of numbers that customers can now deploy and manage from just one single pane of glass either via global review or CCGM.22:33Alright, now let's get into the features of CCGM and you are going to love this that within Cisco, all the both of the components both the global review and CCGM are gonna have entire same feature set because they're run by same product management team, same engineering team.22:51So we are, it's gonna align exactly the same. So we 1st have started with the global visibility. So with the global visibility, we are monitoring the health of your network devices, your health of your any issues that are happening across catalyst centers. So you don't have to go to each individual one and see what are the P1P2P3 issues happening.23:09I can get all of that single view across.23:29On one's CCGM. I can even get my entire device inventory on CCGM and also have, we have a new dashboard called end of life end of sale dashboard where all of your hardware, software components, EOL, US can be seen right from CCGM.23:33It has a CX cloud integration on the back end and will we can showcase all of that right on the CCGM. This is very good for our Knox. We have a global search feature, so if you have anyone coming to you and saying, hey, I have a problem with my clients or device, I can just enter their host name or IP address or serial number or Mac address and it's going.23:50To be able to cross launch me directly to whatever catast center it is that client is connected to or that device is connected to. I can quickly even search with like, hey, tell me all of my devices running this older software version.24:10And it will filter that out and then I can I have a a use case where I can then go and upgrade all of those individually. So global search is one of the big ones that we have. Now, we talked and Shai also showed this capability. This is a wonderful feature of cross launch where a user, when they click a button on C.24:23They don't need to reenter their credentials when they are taken to the cathy center.24:45It all happens without additional authentication. The authentication is shared via a token on the back end with the username of the user. And as long as that user pre is present or exists on the catalyst center, we are able to exchange the token and and able to cross launch that user to the right catalyst center.24:50And we have also built our back inside of the cross launch, so a user who is an admin on CCGM or Meraki can be an observer on Catas Center and we will honor that with a cross launch. So that is another wonderful capability that we are bringing.25:09This, the next one is the the catalyst center visibility. So we know how important it is to manage your network devices and clients, but it's also very important to manage the health of your catalyst center. Because as a network admin, I am responsible for making sure my catalyst centers certificates are all in line. It's not reaching scale, a limitation.25:27It doesn't have any interface that is down. So all of those can be seen right from your CCGM org global review as well. So we are helping you manage not just your devices and clients but also your cathy center.25:47And the last one, is the situational dashboard. What this means is, so catalyst center had APIs that customers were leveraging and building their own dashboards to be able to troubleshoot something very quickly like their clients are not connecting to a network or their AAA DNS DHCP servers are having.26:00Problems or they wanted to see their PoE dashboard.26:20What we have done is we have taken away that pain for somebody to build that situational custom dashboard with just a few toggle clicks, we can create that custom dashboard for them. So that is also available in CCGM and we'll show that in the demo in the upcoming few slides over here.26:23So this point is the point about there being two different layers. There's the one is the network devices and clients layer and the one is the actual catalyst center, which is the management layer. So we are and the meraki layer, right? Where your actual organizations and your networks are added.26:43So with both CCGM and global review, we are helping you manage and monitor both the layers. What we are also building in the future upcoming release of CCGM is we're also gonna bring some life cycle management where we can help you do some controllability right of that cathy center as well, right from the management or right from the.27:00The CCGMR global reviewer.27:20Alright, so these are all the features, but let's also talk about what we do not do today, on CCGM. So CCGM today is not going to monitor your ICE entity like say you wanted to author a policy or you wanted to troubleshoot AAA server.27:25We we will give you the statistics of your AAA server, right? What, what catalyst center is getting, but we won't get into the details of the authorization flow and all that or or creating a policy that is going to be done on the ice level, and same with the data center and SD WAN and collab and security.27:44Cisco is bring building a new product called Cisco Cloud Control, where some of these entities are gonna be tied in together. So stay tuned for that. We might come back and showcase more about the Cisco Cloud control and how and the wonderful capabilities it's bringing across the board here.28:02Alright, so now if you wanted to take this today, Shai showed you how easy it's gonna be to take your meraki, and create an account and start adding your cathy centers. Let's see what do you need for CCGM. So for CCGM, you need cathy center 2379 version or higher, as long as it's there and there is IP reachability between.28:20Alessandra and CCGM.28:39On port 443, this is going to work. Doesn't matter where the catalyst center is hosted. All it needs is IP reachability on port 443. And I was telling this before the millisecond latency is quite large so that it can cover the mostly the entire globe altogether.28:41Now for the CCGM perspective, it is a virtual form factor, it runs on VMware today, and also we are doing an early field trial with the CCGM running also on AWS as an AMI. So if you're interested in that, please send us a note, a chat, a question down below and we can share details as to like how you can participate.29:00In that early alpha EFT so you can get your hands on CCGM running on AWS, but it's a very small form factor, it's eight vcpus, 16 GB RAM and 06:50 GB hard drive and and it can manage 25 different catalyst centers. It doesn't matter what form factor, physical or virtual, all of them are gonna be.29:21Important.29:40Alright, so licensing wise, again, like mentioned before, it's a free of cost per customer. So we, this is just a capability that we wanna help the customer to troubleshoot and get visibility across the networks much faster, much better. The licenses are all tied to your network devices, so as you as long as you have in your network device.29:42There is NO additional cost for CCGM.30:03Alright, so now if I wanted to go back now to my office and I want if as a network admin, if you wanted to deploy it, this is what you would need. So if you've ever installed the center, this CCGM is looks similar to deployment process and is also powered by Maglev, so you will see the same maglev's.30:07Screens both CLI and web wizard install, so.30:25What do you need to do is you need to go to Cisco.com software.cisco.com and download the OVA file for CCGM and have a VMware ESXi or vCenter where you will deploy that OVA template, OVF template, and then you will just run through the CLI steps of running the CCGM either via CLI maglev.30:30Web or web visitor.30:50And then in in less than an hour you will have access to your CCGM web interface, the GUI where you can start to managing or adding your catalyst centers. We have a live demo as well to show you how to do this. So what I'm doing here is I'm on my cisco.com software.cisco.com website, and I see my latest ccgm one.30:52Three one version that I can download. Now I'm at my ESXi host of VMware where I'm gonna say alright, let's deploy a new CCGM, new VM using the OVA that I got from Cisco for CCGM. I'm gonna give it a name. I'm gonna add my OVA file over there and this just has one single entry.31:12So I just need to allow or or make sure that I'm allowing one single interface that can talk to my other cathy centers. And that was all then I can just do finish, it will go through its loading of the OVA process, this takes around ten to 15 min, and by this time I'll be ready to now go into the actual macliff configuration.31:32So here if I wanted to go to the web wizard I can go to this IP address that I got for the web installation. I can even configure one statically if I don't have DHCP. But after that is going to be the part where all we need to do is just give one IP address to my management interface of my CCGM and that can get us to the.31:52CCGM web interface.32:12Now here I'm gonna, if I wanted to do a different configuration, I can go into the advanced mode, but for the simple one, I would just do the default to start using the MKS configuration cluster. Now here, this is the same IP that I got via DHCP, so I'm not gonna make any changes here. I'll just stick to.32:15That, now this is the point where about our cluster interface, there is NO cluster here, so we'll leave that alone with the 1609 IP. I here i'm entering my DNS servers. This is my lab DNS servers that are going to be needed to resolve any FQDN entries if I have any. So I'm just entering my.32:34DNS credentials or IP addresses over here.32:55As I proceed, what it's gonna do in the backend is that my management IP is gonna try to make sure that we can reach the DNS servers. It'll, it'll also make sure to reach the internet. Do I have a proxy in the middle? If I do, then it'll ask me for proxy details. I'm in the lab environment, so I have a proxy.32:59I'm gonna add my proxy details over here and I'm gonna click on next. Then on the backend, it's also gonna make sure that I can reach the internet now with that proxy.33:17Now this is my CLI credentials from my CCGM. So once I enter that, the last thing that we need is the clock settings, so I can give my NTP server IP address or our host name, and that is all that we need to get the CCGM up and going. Now in less than an hour, you can go get a cup of coffee, come back and.33:27And then you'll be able to go to this IP address, of CCGM.33:46And this is the default credentials for CCGM admin and password nine P at password nine and the 1st time you log in, it asks you to change that, create a new user for yourself with a new password, so and and it's gonna log us out when we submit this so that that that 1st time credential.33:50Goes away and I can log in with my, this user that I just created.34:11Now, on the backend of Cisco, what we have done is we have done a very intelligent pipelining or or plumbing between CCGM and catalyst center, where using your Cisco's email address your that that you use for software.cisco.com.34:16We register your CCGM to the cisco Catalyst cloud. And once we do that, it creates a mapping between CCGM and this catalyst center that we are now enrolling or adding on CCGM with a member ID. So I can take the member ID from catalyst center.34:32And when I put that here on the CCGM, on the backend, it's gonna create that mapping for us. Now I'm just showing on the center where to get the member ID from the question mark, and then you go and paste it right here on the CCGM. And now what it's gonna do is it started the enrollment process, but now to complete it, it'll take us to the.34:49Catas center's global manager integration place, where just with one click.35:09It's gonna go to the back end of the Cisco Catalyst Cloud and see if there was ever a mapping between CCGM and my catalyst centers member ID. If it finds it, it's gonna give the CCGM IP address and now the catalyst center is added to CCGM. So as a user, I did not have to do anything. I just register my catalyst, my CCGM.35:13I add my catalyst centers member ID and then I hit enroll. That's it. And then it automatically the magic, the pipeline, the plumbing in the back end will find each other and show the catalyst center. And this is the same for both Meraki's global review and on Prem's catalyst center global manager.35:32So this was a quick demo of like how to actually onboard or how to actually deploy CCGM and then how we can also register the CCGM and enroll center. Now, actually, now that we have the CCGM, we talked about so many features, let'.35:50Also see this in action where we can see all once I have enrolled, I have all myd.36:10How does my experience look like or what features capabilities that I get with CCGM? So, I'm gonna enter my CCGM credentials. Now, this is that once the 1st view that a user will get once they log in, you can go back in time and, this entire view will change.36:16This is sending hundreds of API calls across any number of catalyst centers that you have added, and we start rendering the details as long as soon as we start getting it. And we have divided this page into critical alerts on the top, my network devices that I'm managing on the bottom, and I'm also with the with the click of a button I can see how many.36:36How many catalyst centers have I added to the CCGM? So right now I have three catalyst centers added that are in fair health. I can see the software version that is running on the catalyst center, whether it's a three node or a single node catalyst center.36:56I can also see why that health is fair. Is there any, I can see the description of the issues happening on catalyst center. There might be some certificate expiring, there might be some CIMC IP not reachable, so all that will be seen right here. I can even cross launch the catalyst center from there, but we'll see, we'll show the cross launch feature a little bit later. Now let's also see.37:09On the top level dashlets, you can see I have top five alerts that are happening across my centers. I can also see my critical major alerts and I can also see my sites that are important. So as a network admin, I I I really care about tell me the problems that are happening and how I can quickly resolve it, right? And so earlier.37:29It was very hard for network admins to pinpoint which catalyst center this problem is coming from. So here with the click off a button I can tell you exactly the issues happening with, there are the top five issues that are happening.37:49How many times did we get that alert? And was that from one catter center or multiple cater centers that we saw that alert message? Now when I click on that, it actually takes me to a new dashboard or a new page which we call that alerts page. And all of these pages will look similar. The look and feel will be exactly the same where on the top you can divide between your critical.38:00Major minor, same way with the dashlets so I can click on the major and I just see my, all my major or the minor alerts.38:20And I can also further filter down into my San Jose or Milpitas or switching or wireless network types. So if I'm an admin for just San Jose I can click on minor and San Jose and I can see my alerts for that specific region.38:27Now let's take this alert for an example. The poor RF on a floor, as I noticed it was I got alerted four times. So because four different access points were alerting for that same behavior or that same issue of poor RF. Now, from here I can I can see what AP is having this problem and what catalyst center this.38:43This is coming from. And now with one single click, I was actually taken to that cater center where all the rest of my troubleshooting of my ears of experience, showcasing you the impact details, the troubleshooting, the suggested action all will still remain the same right here on the center.39:03So the the wonderful part is we did not have to re log in when we reached the cathy center from here. Also on the left hand side, you will see the site hierarchy. So you know in cathy center, we manage everything using sites and buildings and areas and floors. All of that from your multiple cata.39:20The center will start coming here. I can click on any one of the sites like milk Peters and my entire view will change.39:40That you were seeing right here. So what what this does is for network admin just responsible for one site, I can click there and I can focus on just that level of view. Alright, now let's go underneath and look at our network devices health. So you can, you can, you might notice I have so many routers, switches, APs.39:47And some of them are in poor health. Now one out of six endpoints of wired are in poor health. 18 of my APs are in poor health. So if I click there, it'll actually take me to the device infrastructure page now, which is my entire inventory of devices. Like before, I can toggle between the-the dashes up top and.40:05And if I wanted to see other devices or or drill down to a building level view as well.40:25But if I, but this was this is the view that I get in the device infrastructure page. Now, one additional features that we have added to this one is say I'm a network admin, I see that these are poor health devices. Now, how do I export it out, open a ticket for my, for my admins to go resolve those. We have, we have brought this.40:30This Export functionality in the device health export. So this poor health list that I have for my APs, I can quickly now export this out into an Excel file and add that to my ticketing system and have the users just come back here or go to the right catalyst center.40:50And troubleshoot and and take care of that right from right here. So once I clicked on export, I can download the file as well, and, and, and get more details around what was the alert, what device is happening on what cathy center.41:09So somebody can go and try to fix that. So this was a great ask from our customers that we had brought in in the new capability. Now, another, this is my favorite feature which is the global search up top. So as you notice I went to the magnifying glass over there and I can I just entered my one of my sites name San Jose 23.41:25Now everything that matched San Jose 23. Endpoints, devices, sites, it could be application, everything showed up. So when I clicked on one of the devices, it tells me what kind of device it is, what software version it is running, what Mac address serial number it's running, and which catas center is it connected to. And if I wanted to, I could.41:45In click on the device three 60 and it will take me to the right center where the. I can do the same with an IP address, so everything that matched 1040 01:52 is now showing up, whether it's a client or a network device, I can see details of that. I can do the same with my username. So if I, I'm entered Shai's user.42:05Username here as Cisco and and this is all live data that is coming to our Cisco buildings. This is a CCGM running in Cisco's network. So eh so anytime Shai is having a problem, somebody an admin can go and enter his username and be able to see what network device Shai has, what clients Mac.42:25Book or iPhone he's bringing to the network and how do I go or how can I know where he's residing to go fix that problem?42:45So this is going to be loved by a lot of our network admins, knock admins to go resolve that. Now, this is a new feature which is in beta right now, but with the end of life page, what we are giving is we are giving an entire view of your devices, your routers, your switches, your.42:54A Wireless devices and your accessories that are going end of life, end of support, end of sale, both on the hardware, software and the module level. So as I, if I click on any one of those, like a 9500, I can see when was the announcement happened for the EOL, when is the last day of support? So now you don't have to go toggle back and forth between different.43:14Dashboards to get this capability. You can see right here from CCGM about the end of life end of sale announcements and capabilities right here.43:34So this is another one, this is a wireless LAN controller that we are looking into and same thing like before. Now, same things that we saw with alerts and dashboard, we have the same for the endpoints, your clients as well. So we are managing your wireless and wired wired clients as well. So before your clients start complaining, you as an admin.43:45Can look, can see here quickly across your cather centers, which are the clients that are not behaving or in poor health, and now how can I go pinpoint or troubleshoot them faster from here?44:04So this is about so as you saw, we can do alerts, we were able to do device infrastructure, we were able to do endpoints, clients, and device endpoints. Now the final feature is that situational dashboard, which I was mentioning. That's this is that custom dashboard.44:15That you can build without doing any additional work. So this is an example dashboard that I built for client troubleshooting where with the toggle of a button I can now see, hey, what are my endpoint onboarding times looking like for my entire cluster of endpoints across my catast centers? Same thing with how many.44:32Clients are connecting to my Wi Fi six SSID or how many of my physical links are down? All of that I can see right here from that situation dashboard. So this is a, so earlier you had to go into multiple screens of Catas Center to get this level of view. Now with the situation dashboard.44:52You can handpick and choose and get this view right here. Now, how do I do that? This is by just clicking the create a new dashboard and at this point we, you can select 15 of these different entities and but you can create as many dashboards as you want. So I'm clicking I I want to know my AAA.45:11Or a services, my summary, my transaction of my aaa, DNS DHCP to see how my network behavior is happening. I can create a dashboard for that for my network services. So now here I can quickly, this is real life data coming from my multiple data centers, I can get all that data right here.45:32Now finally, like was mentioning, it also looks beautiful on the dark mode. CCGM, so I'm just gonna toggle through the screens and if somebody's interested in dark mode, you can utilize this as well for CCGM. All the pages that we showed before, everything is available in the dark mode as well.45:50Alright, this brings us to the end of the demo. I hope this was helpful just to summarize our webinar that we did today, the whole point was to help you pick and choose between global overview on the Meraki cloud, what Shai presented and the catalyst center global manager, which is a more.46:08Our on prem based solution for our on prem customers that I was showcasing the last 15 20 min. So that's the point here. If even if you don't have a Meraki today and just wanted to manage catalyst centers from Meraki cloud.46:27Very easy to create an account and start managing your caller center that way. If you have a goal to keep everything on prem, including CCGM, that your manager manager of callist centers, then you can go with the caller center global manager. All right, so now we wanted to leave you off with some resources, some call to action before, and then.46:43And take some questions as well from you guys if you have any on the bridge to help you answer about the sessions or anything beyond. So.47:03If you wanted to deploy this today, both CCGM and global review, we have some links that you can take here. We'll also send this via the survey link that we send after the webinar, but we have for CCGM we have a landing page that's gonna take you to all of the other pages. So if you wanna know one page, just go to cS.CO/CCGM and it's gonna.47:13Guide you to all the different pages like FAQ document, the deployment guides, the OVA files to download that, all that is listed in the landing page.47:33For global overview, we also have the onboarding guide and at a glance guide. I know the link is same here. I'm gonna we'll send you the new link for the at a glance here. And under underneath we have a catalyst center YouTube channel where we're gonna build a lot of YouTube videos we already have for CCGM, and we are also bringing more for global overview and.47:42Everything catalyst center, learning is also available right there.48:02With that, I think I will pause and thank you for actually being here and take any question from the field and I and our panelists over here will be happy to answer with whatever you guys have.48:07Thank you so much. Amazing, thanks so much for the super detailed and amazing presentation for today. So if anyone would like to ask a question, you can feel free to use the raise your hand button at the bottom of your Webex screen. And then I will request to unmute to your line so that you can ask your question live. So.48:22We have about 10 min here so we can take as many questions that come through within the next 10 min.48:42So the only comment we've seen come through so far is great presentation, so NO questions so far. One question that maybe I could ask to see if it gets the ball rolling and just see if it helps create any clarity for anyone is what if I don't have a Meraki account and want to manage my catalyst center from global?48:57Overview. Can I do that? And if so, how do I get started? What's the cost?49:17So, thank you, Abby. So as I covered that earlier, you can go ahead and create a Meraki account. It does not require any licensing, there's NO cost associated with it, so feel free to go to meraki.com and create an account in order to do so. And once you have that, then.49:23You can go ahead and follow the documentation and how we go out and onboard Catalyst Center onto the global overview within the Meraki dashboard.49:44But all the licensing that you have, whether it is for catalyst in a global manager or global overview, the licensing comes from the subscription of DNA license attached to your network device such as the switch, a access point router or wireless controller.49:56And that gives you access to the management platforms that you've been seeing here today. Perfect. And then I guess one more question is, can my catalyst center connect to both CCGM and global overview? I can take that. So today because of the.50:13Same plumbing that we have on the back end on this that we were sharing before, how the CCGM and global we will enroll to Catas Center. You can do either or so if you are if you're happy with connecting to the cloud and do not want an on prem virtual machine to build and manage.50:33Go with the global overview, but if in case you wanted to go anything on prem, so you can go with the CCGM, but yeah, two simple answer is just it's one or the other today. But great question, yeah. And something I wanted to add here as kind of a point to everyone is.50:51One of the use cases we've seen customers who are adopting just loving is now they have the ability to expose more information about the network to the operations and the frontline teams where they don't need to necessarily expose them to a lot of.51:11The details and complexity beneath and giving a view of what's happening on the network. So it's also really just a huge opportunity to enable and retool the front lines that can do a better job triaging issues and hopefully minimizing misescalations.51:30Yeah Perfect. Thanks, Shy. And then I think the last one, I don't see any hands raised, so I'll ask this last one and then we can see if we want to wrap a couple of minutes early. So the last one is does AI assistant from global Overview also incorporate catalyst center answers? Hey Jen, do you want to take that one?51:48So for AI assistant, that's actually in the works of being developed right now and we are expecting delivery around the end of July right now, so it will in the future include that. So today the AI assistant is only going to give answers.52:07Responsive to Meraki dashboard. And so, and so as as Jim was saying, we're gonna also enable it to answer questions related to center. I think that's super exciting. So yeah, again, I don't see any hands being raised so perhaps we can wrap a few minutes early.52:25So thank you to our presenters Shy and to our panelists. Chris, Miriam, Jen, Mark, and Scott. So I think there was a ton of questions answered in the Q and A panel, so appreciate everyone pitching in there to help out. So as a reminder, we will share the materials from today by ideally the.52:46The end of the week. So please look out for a recap email and thanks again for your time and for joining and just one quick reminder to please complete the survey as we'd love to collect your feedback and make sure that we can continue to run webinars on future topics if there's anything requested additionally, and then so we can continue to pro improve it.53:05As we go along, so, again, thank you so much for joining and hope you have a great rest of your day.53:25
