Good morning, good afternoon, everyone. Thank you so much for joining and.00:10Welcome to APJC exports inside series on integrating catalyst center with 3rd party platforms, part one. Next slide. Yeah, today we have two presenters, one of them is me. So other one is let me just give you some introduction about ourselves.00:16Madhura is a customer success specialist for enterprise in APJC region, and she has nine plus years of experience working in Cisco's network management solutions.00:35Automation and routing and switching technology at various states of customer engagement and she also carries several industry certificates including CCNP routing and switching and have worked with multiple enterprise customers and service providers. I am also a customer success specialist focused on enterprise network.00:46Working with specialization in Cisco catalyst center.01:06And I'm I also hold Cisco certified Devnet Associate and network Associate with extensive knowledge and experience with programmability and automation of Cisco products. And next slide. Yeah, before I hand the presentation over to Madhura, let me quickly cover a few.01:09Statistical items for a smooth session. So during today's session, you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about catalyst center. Just type your questions into the Q and A panel which you will find in the.01:29Bottom right of your screen in the three.menu three.option, and you can also use the hand icon to raise your hand and our panelists will assist you. And we request you to please lower your hand once your question has been answered. And for any unanswered questions, there will be a Q and A at the end of our session and also we are.01:42We're planning to have a Q and A after this series. This is series is a two part one. So once we finish two parts, we'll have a Q and A So if your questions are not answered, we will have, we will answer there or we can reach out to you.02:02One on one. And if you are having any audio issues, please use the chat panel chat panel and one of the panelists will assist you and with that, let me just start the session. So today you will have an opportunity to learn different way I mean various tools.02:17And platforms that are integrated with catalyst center, we will understand the benefits of the integration and how they are how the integration is performed and with that over to you Mudra. Thank you so much Lacia. Good morning, good afternoon, everyone.02:36So, if you have joined this expert insight series with us earlier, you know that this we conduct for a particular topic. This today's topic is catalyst center integration with the 3rd party tools. So we will be discussing few integrations here which can help you.02:53To ease your network operations.03:13Because catalyst center as a tool is great. It can manage and monitor your network, but along with this integration with some of the Cisco tools or custom tools, it can give you more value. Now, we will try to keep this demo heavy.03:17And this is our today's agenda. So as last year was mentioning, we have this session for you in two parts because there are too many tools already out in the market and we can have catalyst center integrations with those. And we want, we, what we will deliver here to you is.03:34These tools, how you will integrate, what are the prerequisites for that, and then after integration, how you can derive a value from it. So I'll be covering Cisco ICE because that's the key one, and you might be seeing a Slido question that do you have this Cisco ICE integrated? If yes, you can put in.03:51Because if, if yes, you already know.04:11Eka how is is just a tool where we can have our maps created, the surveys and tools maps, it's one of the leading tool in the market. We can integrate that with catalyst center. Spaces is one of our Cisco product after integration you get very good value out of it.04:14Thousandeyes, MS teams, Webex Meraki, those integrations, they really help you to do.04:34Network monitoring in, in, in one like a single pane of glass. So for that, we'll be discussing those as well. Now quickly, if you see, these all are the tools currently available and many more are getting added.04:42As we enhance the catalyst center versions, right? So, I I believe these recordings will be posted later, you can refer that those as well. There are some Cisco live sessions. Those are also helpful to understand these integrations, how to do and then you can.05:01Get to see step by step process as well, ok? We will be posting some of the useful links as well later. So keep an eye on the chat. If you have questions, feel free to put it in the Q and A So we are touching you.05:20Cisco integrations and few custom integrations. In this part, we'll be covering few. In the next session which is there on second July, there are few like we are covering ServiceNow in next session, ok?05:36Let's come to the 1st topic. 1st is the ICE and catalyst center integration. So if you are in networking, then Cisco ICE is a well known product. If you haven't worked by yourself, but at least you know that it's a security related.05:53Platform. Now, this is a very basic integration and what I have seen after my interactions with customer is many customers tend to think that this integration is only needed if you have SD access or that type of advanced security in your network.06:09And it can, it can be worked out only with the advantage licenses DNA advantage. This is what I want to, make clear here that this ICE that you see is not only for the SD access.06:29You can have this integration done at the very start of your catalyst center journey, and it will help you in these automation and assurance features as well. So one of the key feature which I found very useful is AI endpoint analytics.06:44Because you got to know your clients which are connecting in your network, right? So, ICE has the metadata that it collects while giving the triple aaa access and while giving like.07:02Giving the access to the network. Now that metadata it can share to catalyst center and that client can be tagged accordingly. It can be patternized with with the help of AI, and that's how AI endpoint analytics works. There are several other use cases also for which this works. So if you have a.07:17Integrated ICE with the catalyst center. This is a high time, you do that.07:37And these are the prerequisites for it. So what you have to do is 1st, for any integration, I would say, you have to match the version of the both components. So here catalyst center and Cisco ice.07:43What are the compatible versions that you will find in, in this product compatibility matrix? We'll be posting this matrix in a chat shortly. Let's say if you can post it will be good. So 1st see, let's see. I have 23710.07:58And our catalyst center version, what all ICE is supported? So let's say three.one.XI have. Is it support, is it supported Yes, good. Let's go ahead. Now, when ICE and catalyst center talk to each other, it is not on HTTPS or those sort of protocols only.08:14There is a separate protocol called as PX grid. You might have heard of this. It's a exclusive protocol to share metadata securely with each other. There is a ERS read rate settings on Cisco eyes, which you have to enable and you have to enable this PX grid also. We'll show.08:33That in demo. There are few other permissions that are needed, which is related to admin credentials. You should have the super admin credentials when you go and integrate. And this integrates the pan, like.08:53The Administration node. So you have oh hold on, I think it went back. Good. So you have to make sure that you are integrating with the PAN node, the FQDN should be a ban node.09:09Now, this is how it looks architecture wise. How are we communicating? It's, it's on HTTPS and this is to have a trusted relationship relationship established over TCV 443 port. So this port and.09:25Protocol requirements are already mentioned in the guides which are public and will be giving that links to you as well. Then there will be a rest, protocol for the API exchange. That's.09:43To program the ICE from catalyst center because you will have some policies and stuff that also will get pushed if you have a SD access network. If not, you do not to worry about it, but we still need these connections to be open. Comes the next one which is very important, the PX grid.09:58Because it gives that trust sec metadata and the context for the clients to ICE. So how will you see that? Let's go to the demo. I hope my screen is visible because I just shifted to demo. This is my lab catalyst center and this is my.10:16Cisco ICE in my lab. So 1st things 1st, what you have to do is you have to go into administration system settings and ERS settings. So you have to enable this ERS settings. Why we need it? It is for the external.10:34Restful services. So make sure these all are enabled from your side, ok? Second one is you have to come into the administration system deployment. See your deployment. So this is my PAN node that I have.10:54Make sure this FQDN is known to you because that will be needed when we integrate catalyst center towards ICE. A major thing that you need to do is toggle this bit where I'm highlighting it's PX grid for the communication. So it's like you are enabling that protocol.11:13Now we have to go back to the catalyst center, go to the menu, system settings. There are too many settings, but for the external services or the integration related services, you always have to come into this external services tab.11:31Now, under this, you have authentication and policy servers. You can add your eyes as eyes or AAA. There is a restriction currently that in catalyst center, only one eyes at a time can be added. So currently we have our eyes already added. I can show.11:50You what all things are needed for this. So once we try to add it, it will ask you the server IP, shared secret, the username password, and this is the FQDN I was referring to. So there are few advanced settings you can enable, like you connect over PS grid.12:10Over certificate, you, if you have multiple catalyst centers, it can be connected to one pan, one single pan. So as to have your data centralizedly coming to the security system, ICE, ok? You can choose the protocol that you want to use. Usually I have seen both the protocols.12:30Enabled.12:50And then if there are any ports specifically if you want to open for this integration, you can open. Now, after this is done, if it is one like 1st time integration, you have to accept this PS grid, integration, it will be popped up to you in the process and I don't know.12:51Thing it is more than 2 min process if everything is perfectly proper and reachability is there. Now, you can see this in your services. So if you understand where it's a, it's a client and service server kind of a mechanism. So here the catalyst.13:11Center is accepting the service from ice site. So you can see if your catalyst center is waiting for the pending client approval from here and if there is like if it if integration is successful, you can see there is.13:31One client already available. So this is a model sort of a thing. And that client you can see it's Cisco DNA center and it is enabled. So if this is enabled, it means your integration is fully done.13:50So that's how we cover the, like we we are sure that our ICE and catalyst center integration is done. Now there is some validation step which I want to let you know. If you already have a catalyst center and ICE integrated, go and look at your catalyst center.14:05Under this, you go to menu, system, system three 60. There is externally connected systems over PX grid over primary. So if this is green means it's properly integrated.14:25Now there is another tab you can look at here is system health. If you want to know if all the PX grid protocol towards your catalyst center is in a good shape or not, you can always come here and see.14:44That's how you verify the integration is done. Any questions, let us know in Q and A Now moving on, we will go to the and center integration. This itself is a bigger topic. If you have handled Ekaho.15:02In the past, you might be knowing that it's a, network mapping tool. It's like we do a survey for wireless, we put the map, and then that map itself, that map itself will be.15:20Imported in catalyst center. That's how this integration works. Can you do this manually without? Yes, definitely. We all have done it. Manually you create the site, the area, the location like where you have to.15:37Onboard your devices. And then under that you have the floors till floor level, you can import, like you can create it. There are two methodologies with which you can do this. One is Ekaho on premises. If it is there, you can have pro version eleven.15:54Onwards integration and for that you should have 235X onwards catalyst center. And if you have cloud, then you need to have 237X onwards catalyst center version.16:13Now, one prerequisite which is non skippable here is you should have the exact hierarchy created in catalyst center so as to export the maps, ok? So when you have.16:27Like this is a catalyst center, how you import any project is oh sorry how you import any project is you see there is already hierarchy created and it should be exact similar to the hierarchy. The name.16:43Should be exactly similar for the buildings, for the sites, for the floors that you created, and then you have an option to import Ekahau project. You put the Ekahau file.ESX to import it and this is how it will validate without like before going.17:03To actual import, there will be import preview that will be provided.17:21If there are any mismatches that will be flagged under warnings and this is how you can make sure that you import the entire project in your catalyst center. So this will make your day zero functionality little bit.17:26Easier because you don't really need to have the, you really don't have to add the maps one by one on a floor level. Now for the Cisco Spaces and catalyst center integration, let me hand it over to Lassia.17:42Thank you, Madhura for that explanation on Echo and ICE integration. Let me just share my screen team for this. Yeah, allow me a moment.17:59I hope my screen is visible.18:35Yes. Yeah. So team Cisco pieces and catalyst center integration, I mean we all we saw what and catalyst center integration does. Now we get the maps from to Catalyst Center.18:38But we'll only be able to see RF information that is you'll be catalyst center will be able to generate a heat map. But catalyst center will not be able to help you with the location of the client. Let's say client is complaining that they are having some issue with the application. You would want to know where they are sitting, right? Are they sitting near the AP or.18:55Or are they far away from the AP? So for that, you have to go to spaces.19:15Whereas if you integrate spaces with Catalyst Center, you'll be able to see all it, all of that information in catalyst center itself. So, what happens is basically when you integrate Catalyst Center with integrate Cisco spaces is all the catalyst center maps will be.19:19Pushed to cisco's pieces. So now let's say you make any kind of changes on your maps, they will be automatically pop re synced to Cisco's spaces. So it is very you have to keep in mind when you're making any changes that your Cisco spaces will also be updated. And another point is location hierarchy.19:39Will be automatically created in Cisco spaces. Now let's say there's a new building which is not there on cisco's basis. Automatically that building will be created on Cisco spaces. That part we'll be seeing in the demo how it will be created. And then as mentioned, any changes that are there made on the floor plan will be automatically pushed from catalyst center.19:59To Cisco spaces. You do not need to make any change resync kind of thing. It will be automatically done.20:19And once this is done, like as this is being done, whatever clients that are being identified by Cisco spaces, that is, that is by located by Cisco spaces, that information will be shared with Cisco spaces, Cisco Catalyst Center.20:26Along with the client information, you will also be able to see rogues and interference. So interference will be present on the, our heat map only in the floor plan, whereas rogues it will be present in the rogue and abips.20:43Another option. So in this way you will be able to find clients, rogues and interference in one platform along with your heat map. So these are the prerequisites. Catalyst center.20:582.1.2.3 or higher and we need to check the latest release supported by the catalyst center at the time of the integration. So currently it is two.three.7.X And then you also need to catalyst center must be able to connect to these links that are given, these URL.21:16Is for the Cisco business integration and.21:36A very highly recommended thing is Cisco spaces connector should be there when the WLC is connecting to Cisco spaces. Demo. Let me just open the demo. So what we will see in the demo is that.21:41We, we have a building on a catalyst center, on catalyst center which is not there on spaces. So we will see how the maps are getting synced from catalyst center to the spaces hello.21:58Am I clearly orderable? Yes, you had last year. Yes, last year. Okay then, so what we'll be seeing is that we will be seeing how these maps are getting synced to Cisco spaces and what actions have to be taken on the Cisco spaces and catalyst center site for the integration to be done and.22:14After integration, what will actually be done? So 1st, yeah, one thing team, this is a little older version, but the steps are same for current version also that is for two.three.seven also this the steps are same.22:34So 1st what we are going to do is we are going to check if the WLC that has to share the information is there on catalyst center, that is along with the APs in the managed state. So now I am working with this WLC 9800 WLC, and these are the APs that are associate.22:51With that.23:12So all my APs and wlcs are in managed state. That is very, very important. One thing that I want to highlight team here is actually I would like to emphasize that whatever actions that you would like to take on center or what you would want catalyst center to take on your devices.23:12For so those devices should always be in reachable and managed. Even if you want your device center just to monitor your device, it should be managed. So when we say managed on catalyst center, catalyst center is not actually managing, it is observing only and only when you push the configuration from.23:32The catalyst center, it will be deploying any configuration. So I want to just put it out there.23:52Yes JJ, it is getting recorded and you'll be able to see the recordings also in our portal, which I have shared in the chat. And now since the APs and wlcs are managed, what we will do is we'll start the integration. But one thing before we do is you.24:00See this United States long term, this is the building that is not there on spaces.24:18So, yeah, just want to highlight that. Now let's go to spaces. Yeah, we will go to the locations. As of now there are three locations and as you observed here that United States long term is not present, but once we integrate, it will.24:23Automatically populated and CX demo is the tenant here. So now 1st we'll go to Cisco DNA Center and create a token here which have to be added on the catalyst center. So click on this new instance and just give a name to this instance.24:43Yeah, just any name should work. You can just give test instance or anything should work. I am giving DNA Center long term, and now a token will be created which will be expiring in two days. As of now you can see it's not activated and the token can be copied.25:00But once it is activated, you'll not be able to see the token. So just copy it and now let's go to catalyst center.25:19Here what we need to go to system settings. So as mentioned by all the integration settings will be present in this page, system settings under external services. So we can go to this DNA spaces and CMX servers. So just click on this activate as of now, it's not registered with.25:27Any of the Cisco spaces, so activate and a token has to be added here, which we have copied.25:47So within few minutes, it should be registered and the tenant name also should present here. Yeah, CX demo is the tenant. Now it's done. The next thing is we have to go to the network hierarchy that is network settings and mention which of the sites would like to be more.25:54Monitored by this particular spaces. Now let's say you have your CMX servers and spaces, then you need to specifically go to the site.26:15And mention which of the sites have to be monitored by spaces and which have to be monitored by CMX servers. So we will go to the settings. Yeah, here United States long term.26:22And go to wireless and here we should be having an option of, yeah, DNA spaces and CMX servers. Automatically that tenant will appear here DNA spaces CX demo, just select that and save it. One thing team, if let's say you want your whole.26:39Sites to be monitored by spaces, that is fine. You need to just go to global and select this option. And let's say you want your a single site to be monitored by CMX servers, then you can go to that specific site and only that site will be monitored by CMX servers and rest other will be.26:57By spaces. So it's basically the.27:17A specific site credentials or settings will be taken precedence over the global ones. So that is one thing. Now we can go to spaces and add the connector. As of now, the WLC and the connector are not added. So yeah, this.27:21Is the spaces character as you can see, it's not added.27:40What we'll do is we'll just create a token and come back here. Yeah, we will just go to spaces set up yeah set up and then wireless networks. Here as of now there are two or three connectors. We will create.27:43A new token for the connector that we want to connect to.28:03Again any name should work. We just require the token, yeah. So it should generate it is generated, just copy this and go back to spaces connector.28:07And just click on the setup, you see this configured token, click on setup and enter the token. And within few minutes, the connector should be able to connect to the spaces. Yeah.28:25It is downloading the images. This may take a few minutes. Yeah, within few minutes, the cloud control channel and the data channel should be up. Everything should be run up and running. Next thing that we'll do is we will add the controller that we want to monitor.28:41And for that, yeah, ok, just showing the spaces connector, you can see that your one is added. Now, new controllers, just click on this add controller and select the connector. So since we have already connected the connector.28:58Just select the connector to which the WLC has to connect to and get the WLC IP. So I'm getting that from my catalyst center.29:18So team, this is for the, like day zero, if you already have your WLC on spaces, that is also fine. Now controller IP and controller name, you can give anything. And when you select the controller type.29:29As 9800, you will be asked to give your netconf username and Password, can we integrate WLC? As of now you can only integrate with Aeros and 9800.29:45So now netconf username and password has to be added and also one more thing here, you need, you have these commands, right? You need to copy these commands and manually add those on WLC CLI.30:01Because WLC doesn't know to which connector it needs to connect to. And these commands will help it to understand to which connector it needs to connect to. So just getting the CLI added and just.30:16And that configuration mode and now we should be able to test the connectivity to the WLC and the test connectivity test should be success.30:31Yeah, it's taking some time. It usually takes us a few seconds. Yeah, it's completed successfully. Now I'll just save and close and I'll just view if it's added. Yeah, now two controllers are active. Just go to view connectors and as you can see.30:46This is the new controller that we have added and it is successfully.31:06Added. Now the next thing is we will just go to the location hierarchy and check if the maps are synced because now we have added finished the integration, we have added our WLC, so.31:11Obviously the load maps should be added with the location hierarchy, so you see, if you remember, this united_states_longterm was not there in the beginning of the recording, but now since the integration is done, it is there along with the hierarchy that we have sell created there.31:27So now I'll just go to this building one. Here is one floor map that I have. So these are the access points and maps. So you see the maps are synced successfully. So obviously you will be able to see the clients.31:46But let us focus on catalyst center side. So I just want to show you how the clients will be visible on the catalyst center. So I'll just go to the United States long term and same floor plan. Yeah. So catalyst center.32:02If the APs are already there on the floor, then it will generate a heat map. As of now, there are there is one client but it is where it is newer APs so we are not able to see what I'll just do is, yeah, before we do that, you see this cloud.32:20Option cloud cloud icon. When you click on this, you will be able to see your spaces connector information and the status of the connector. So only and only for the locations that are being monitored by the spaces will have this icon. If that is not there, then you'll not be able to see this one.32:41Now, I just want to show you the clients. What I'll do is I'll just disable the access points and you see this is the client that is attached associated to that AP. Now I'll just click on that and I mean if you are using client three 60 to troubleshoot the issues, you will already know.32:59So that you will be getting a client score. So that is available here along with its RSSI SNR and the associated AP. So it's some of the information that you will usually show see in the client three 60, and let's say this client is having less.33:19For health, then you can just click on this client three 60 and it will directly take you to client three 60. So team, that is how you integrate the spaces with thousandeyes. I'm sorry, spaces with catalyst center and get the client information.33:37On the floors, on the catalyst center. Now, I'll just go back to the PPT. Yeah. So the next integration that we would like to show you is thousandeyes and catalyst center integration. So now we understood how to locate the user.33:53Is right on the floor map. The next thing is.34:13Let's say the user is complaining again, re related to application issue. So now you want to know how the application is working like if there is any latency packet loss or jitter, that is, you, we just want to understand, right? Like if it's, if the issue is on the network side or on the application side. So for that you.34:17You can integrate your, you can enable application telemetry on your switches.34:37Along with that, you can also integrate the catalyst center with thousandeyes to get granular information, some more information. So these are some of the benefits that you would be getting when you integrate your catalyst center with thousandeyes. So 1st thing, one thing that I observed in some of the customers is they are still using manual method to deploy their.34:41Agents on the switches. Whereas with this integration, you can do it directly from the catalyst center. You do not need to download any tar file. I mean you would need to do to upload it on catalyst center, but you do not need to do do it through CLI deployment of the agent. Do not need to be done through CLI or through SSD.35:01It can be done directly from the catalyst center, which we'll be seeing in the demo, and then you can run the tests on thousandeyes and get the test results on the catalyst center. So it would not be a very granular ones, but some basic metrics like packet loss, jitter, latency.35:21Response time will be there. And then since we get this some information, we will be able to isolate the issue either towards the network or the application side. And for this deployment, you do not need to get any more licenses.35:41If you have advantage licenses, that is enough. Now, basically this is the workflow. You need to download the image that thousandeyes agent image from this thousand eyes.35:56And upload it to the catalyst center. So it's one time thing, not every time you need to do that, but before that you also need to have your thousand eyes created and 2nd step is to get this thousand eyes image and upload it to Catalyst Center or you can push it through iOS XE also. I mean CLI also and.36:13Then you can just deploy the agent to the thousand eyes.36:33Now the prerequisites are catalyst center two.two.2.X release and later, and I hope nobody is on this version because the current version recommended releases two.three.7.ten team. And then.36:38As of now, this integration is for 9390 400 series switches and you just need to have advantage licenses and you will be able to deploy the agents. So when you are doing this workflow, the login credentials that needs to be there on the catalyst center should be.36:54Network admin or super admin permissions or super admin credentials and you also need to specific a VLAN for the enterprise agent to use along with an IP address which can be connected which will be able to connect to the thousand eyes cloud.37:14And again, another very important point is the target devices should be reachable and managed by catalyst center. Now, let's just dive into demo.37:31Yeah, yeah. So while she while you're going into the demo, just want to pitch in here and let the attendees know that some of these licenses for spaces and thousand eyes, they come with as an embedded license.37:50For your switches. So check out with your Cisco sales team or executives and ask them what all licenses are already available for these sort of, integrations and work, ok?38:10Thanks. Go ahead. Thank you for chiming in. Yeah, so the 1st thing that you need to have on your switch is that space. It should at least have four GB space on the flash for hosting applications.38:25So that you can clear or you can get space by running the command install remove inactive. And once that is done, once you are sure that you have enough space, you can enable Docker, which is very important for hosting the applications that you can do it by running this command iOS.38:43So once that is done, within few minutes, you should be able to see this.39:03Syslog message that is successfully allocated four G in flash for posting applications. And then you will also be seeing this IOX ready syslog message. So once that is also there, you can run show iox and check if the talker is actually running on the switch or not.39:09And now it's running and you as mentioned, you also need advantage license. How do you check the license? You can check it on CLI, but you also can check it on catalyst center. Go to tools license manager and go to the devices here you So the target device here is.39:29So.39:52I'll just click on that device and I should get some license details. You see, here I'm getting the name of the device and the Cisco DNA license along with some other license related information. So this is how you can check, but there is other option also to check if the Docker and.39:53Locker is running and the license information. So for that you can go to inventory and directly run commands run some, so team you can run show commands directly from the catalyst center. You do not need to log into the device for this. I mean if you have any show command, any show command.40:13You can run the show commands directly on the catalyst center for any of the devices. Just click on the device and click on run commands and it will show you a CLI which will enable you to run show commands. So I'm just running show iox and Docker is running and show license summary and it should be.40:32DNA advantage.40:52Yep, so it's DNA advantage. Now we will go to hosting the application. So for that, go to provision services and application hosting. Now, I already have my docker image here uploaded on the catalyst center. So what you can do is you can just download that.40:55Docker image and upload it here by clicking on this new app. Now I'll just click on the, yeah, I'll just show you how many of my devices are ready for app hosting. As you can see, only one of my device is fully ready and the.41:15Others are partially ready. So when I click on the C details, I'll be able to see what are all the checks that catalyst center has done for me to ensure that the app hosting for the devices is good, is met. I mean the checks for app hosting is met. Now I'll just go to this thousand eyes enterprise agent and here.41:32Here you need to add a token, which you will be getting in the thousand eyes. So we need to go to agent settings and we need to click on this add new enterprise agent and get the catalyst switching token. So just copy this.41:52And add it there yeah so you can edit it and add the token. Now the next thing that we need to do is we need to remove some of this runtime options. So this part from this mount to this.42:11340M that is there is a bug in 237 and if we do not remove this particular information, the deployment will be failing with 400 client error.42:31So it's recommended to remove that option. Now, click on install. Once you save it, click on install and give a task name. So you can give anything team here now the next thing is click on next and yeah, I will.42:43Like to pause here. Now, till 237, you can only deploy.43:03In a single building, that is let's say you have two switches in one building and one more switch in another building and you want to deploy the agent on all the switches. That you'll not be able to do in 23710. You will only be able to deploy.43:10At the time in single building. Now you want to deploy on two buildings, right? You have to do the deployment workflow twice, Whereas from three.one.X you can select multiple buildings and deploy the agents on multiple switches at a time.43:25So that is one enhancement that we brought in three.one, so just select the building one and click on next. I will just select the device that I want to deploy the agent on.43:42Again, you can click on the C details and same checks will be appearing here. So you can just see, I mean HTTPS is very important team. HTTPS is needs to be enabled on the switch for the catalyst center to pull the agent details, I mean to push the agent details. So it is very, very important.43:59That we do this.44:18Now, yeah, these are and these are some of the things like iOS if iOS XE version that is running on switch is supporting the app hosting and if the app hosting is in sync with device, so these are the some of the checks that Catalysten will be doing for.44:21This app hosting and click on next. Now here we will be giving a VLAN for the enterprise agent and address type you can keep it dynamic or static. I'll keep it static and import the IP addresses.44:39So I I'll be getting the IP address which will be connecting to thousand guys, Thousandeyes Cloud through CSB. So this is the CSB that I'm uploading. I just want to show you how that CSB looks like. So let's say you want to import IP addresses for.44:54Multiple agents at a time, you can just create a CSV in this format, just give all the column names in the 1st line and separated by commas and in from 2nd line, you can just give the values of these.45:10Things. And then, click on next and here you'll be getting a summary and provision. Now it will take few minutes for the provisioning to be done, maybe.45:295 min and within 5 min the deployment should be done on the switch and at the same time you'll be able to see it on the thousand eyes as well. So yeah, it is getting done. It should be done.45:43Yeah, it is done. Again, team, I have forwarded this video but it will usually take 5 min for the deployment to be done. Yeah, it is successfully provisioned. Now I'll just go to thousand yeah, the next thing is we need to integrate the thousand eyes with Atlas Center. Now we.45:58Have deployed the agent, but if we want the test results to be appearing on the catalyst center, we need to finish the integration. So settings, system settings and again go to thousand eyes.46:18You can search the thousand eyes here yeah it will be under external services. You need to insert a new token here for that we need to go to thousandeyes manage account settings and users and roles. So here in this space.46:33Do we need to scroll down?46:52And there will be an oauth OAuth better token. If it's already created, you might need to revoke it. But keep in mind when you revoke it, if any other application is using that token, the integration might be the integration will be broken with that particular application. So it's very important that you.46:53Keep in mind when you revoke a token.47:13So I'm just creating a new one because I do not have anything here and copied it and adding it here and save it. So now Thousandeyes is successfully enabled. So once it is done, I'll just go to thousandeyes. So team, one more thing that I observed here is some.47:16Customers, they just want the test results and the deployment they can do it CLI also that is also there. So what you can do is, as mentioned HTTPS should be enabled on the switch and it should be able to reach to catalyst center. And the.47:36Agent name on thousandeyes and the host name on catalyst center should be same. So when this is done catalyst center will be able to pull the agent details from the switch directly and will be able to get the thousand eyes back test results on the catalyst center.47:54So if you just want to get the test results, that also can be done. Now, as you can see, the agent is successfully created and test settings will go to test settings and create a new test here, add new test.48:10I'll just create a HTTP server test yeah now I will just monitor HTTPS.cisco.com and by default the testing will be same as URL and if you want to change it, you can just give a test name.48:27For this. So I'll just give HTTP testing, yeah. And the interval would be 1 min and the next thing is we need to select the agents. So just click on the select agents.48:46And we need to go through the hierarchy and select the edge one that we want to deploy this test. Yeah, edge one, it's up and running. Select it and close this.49:03And deploy. It's successfully deployed and you we should be able to see all the tests in the test settings. Yeah, it is there. And when we click on this, all the settings that we have created should be intact.49:20Now let's go to views and here we should be able to see the metrics like availability, yeah, it is there availability and there are some other ones response time. So you see all the metrics are coming here, but.49:37For this integration, the next thing is we also need to ensure that this integration is success, we should get those results on the catalyst center as well. So for that, go to menu, assurance, health, and here applications. So I have already enabled application telemetry. So that's why I'm.49:56Getting that information and since the thousand days is also integrated, I am able to see this option like there is one agent and one tests. So when I click on this blue one, it should directly take me to this page, this one. So this is HTTP testing. So when you click on this HTTP test.50:16Thing it will directly take you to thousand eyes and to give you that node to node visibility.50:36So, and then you will also get this test information along with the metrics. These are the metrics for packet loss, jitter latency, and response time. So in this way, you will be able to see all the test results.50:42On the catalyst center from the thousand days. So another point for that test results team, the one that I mentioned, so only the let's say you have agents on the switches that are not being managed by catalyst center, so those will not be appearing here. Only and only the.50:58Tests that are running on the agents that are being managed by catalyst center will be appearing here once the integration is done and the agent and host name should be same. HTTPS is enabled on the switch. Yep.51:17So that is for the thousand eyes demo and now I would like to hand it back to thank you. That's wonderful. So team we are crunching on time, but this is the one star integration.51:33We are waiting I know it's really difficult to cover all these integrations. We usually take one integration in 2 h kind of a session when we have one on one discussions with high touch customers, but.51:53Because we want you to know this information and execute, we are doing it all. So everybody is using MS teams. We have run the Slido question. I have seen only couple of people mentioning they use Webex, but most of the people they rely on MS teams, right? For the communications. So.52:07When we have the complaints like my calls are dropping, I have got a screen freeze in Webex teams, or MS Teams calls.52:27We as the networks team really don't have any visibility in the app side, right? So this is what the MS Teams and catalyst center integration can do in your environment. What do you need for this is.52:36Write credentials, like you should have Microsoft Teams admin account credentials on your organization level, ok? And if you don't have, you just have to inform the other team that you, you should come on a call and put your credentials by yourself, NO need to tell us and then you can.52:52Establish this.53:12Connectivity, so two step process basically. One is to letting the DNA cloud as in DNA.cisco.com about your catalyst center. So this is my catalyst center IP, and 2nd step is actually hosting that MS Teams in actually.53:14Integration from your get this center. We'll see that in a recorded video.53:35Now there are few data that is select, that is shared from the teams to Cisco side over the cloud because that is the agreement these two organizations have made at the backend, but it is fully secure and if you need any IPsec team related, like if you.53:39Have any IPsec concerns for that?53:59You can always reach out to Cisco team to to get it clarified, ok? So what are the considerations you have to have? This is not a real time data, 1st thing to understand, but it is like after the call ends, after 15 min MS team server.54:02Shares that ended call data to Cisco Catalyst Center and catalyst center visualizes it and the it it is given under each and every endpoint. So let's say Madhura and we have a call and we want to see the call analysis from.54:20Jitter latency perspective, we can see it under our client three 60 tab in catalyst center. So, these slides anyway will be available, so I'm just fast forwarding it. What is the real time use case? So there was a question or over chat where people were.54:37Asking, what is the purpose of this integration?54:57This slide exactly tells you. So this is a real life situation that happened. We had a VVIP boss, and he was facing some issues for the MS Teams calls. Now, because we had this MS Teams integration with catalyst center enabled, we could see this, he's called it as.55:00Like whether it's a team side issue or a network side issue. Once you figure that out, we have other some of these catalyst center related features like intelligent captures and stuff, or the intel analytics that give.55:19Another level of data so has to figure out what was the issue. So the issue was, in the network we could figure out because the app score was always good and then we tweaked the network so has to have proper signal.55:38To that VIP and the issue got resolved. So this is actual real time use case that happened in my customer environment. Now, we'll quickly go to the demo, just a sec. So this is the demo that I have.55:53Recorded. What you need is your organization's credentials for Microsoft Teams, and the role is really important here. So because in a way you are making.56:11Your MS team data talk to catalyst center.56:31So you should have admin access as a global administrator. You should have full access to teams and Skype's admin centers. Now, as I mentioned, there are.56:35Two step process for this. One is for the cloud authentication. I'm this this is where I have authenticated, so I'll just remove and show you the process again. So when I say cloud authentication, you have to add an OTP key. How to generate that? You have to go to dNA.cisco.com, which is DNA portal.56:55Go to the applications and products under products, you have to add your catalyst center. So register your catalyst center with its IP. So we'll just copy paste that IP here from Catalyst Center.57:15What is the product name? This is a generic one so that you know which is your catalyst center because we have organizations which are which has more than ten catalyst centers also. Now this generated OTP you should be testing.57:33As a key. Once the registration is completed, now Cloud knows your DNA center. Now you should activate this MS Teams app. So to activate also you can do it from the portal or from.57:50The catalyst center. Both ways it is possible. So we are adding our catalyst center here, which we already added as a product, ok? Just next, next, next.58:09What is important here is the region that you select according to your data sovereignty principles, and now once you.58:26Have integrated that. I'll show you what to expect as a results, but we will do a validation also from catalyst center. So you will have to go to system settings and under apps.58:42You will see it activated. So you see the MS Teams, it shows as activated and there is an option to deactivate. If you let's say, have an issue with the MS Teams integration, it's a one click reverse, which we always worry about, right? So.58:57That's how it is. Now, going back to the results Hold on. How does it look? I hope everybody is familiar with this client's view on catalyst center. So I have so many clients and I want to see how their MS teams.59:15Calls are happening. So let's say I get this Grace Smith ticket and he says that I'm not getting or I'm facing some issue in Teams call, ok? So there is summary for all the network related activities, but I want to get.59:32The MS Teams data application specific. There is this MS Teams three 60 tab you see on the right hand side corner. If you click on it, because we have MS Teams integrated, any call which is more than ten of 10 min should appear here. Now.59:50This is the call for which he was complaining. Now let's see whether it's a network side issue or MS Teams side issue. We will get to know here. There is audio, video, share quality, three tabs you can get to, and you can see the scores.01:00:10And the graphical representation of packet loss, jitter, and media byte rate. Now, you will be able to see which is the exporter that is taking out this call, the gateway, and easily you can figure out 1st thing.01:00:271st and foremost, is it the application or network? Here we can clearly state that it's not a network issue, it's application issue. So maybe application team have to figure it out. So that is how this integration can be, can be accessed and most of the time what we have seen, the application.01:00:42Performance team is different. Netops team is different and both do not have access to each other's data. So this can be a good tool, a good integration that can give you the 1st and foremost layer of visibility.01:01:02An observability on where the issue lies. If there is a network related issue, you would see this score degraded to three, two, something like that. So that is how it is happening when you integrate the.01:01:17This thing. Now we are already over the time, so what I would do is we'll stop here for from technical standpoint and there are few other integrations we will cover it later. So jumping to the points to remember we saw.01:01:33That we can have catalyst center, as a single kind of a dashboard if you have the integrations done properly, we basically saw ICE integration, how covered spaces, Cisco spaces, and Cisco thousand eyes.01:01:48From the licensing standpoint, you might have some embedded licenses for the advantage DNA advantage license for spaces and thousandeyes. Do check on that. Then it's it's really important to have MS teams integrated with catalyst center.01:02:04So as to get some visibility on a application performance side as well. Now, as a part next part, what we will do is, there is another session that is coming up which is on second of July. Same time you might have registered for it. If not, there will be a link that.01:02:21It will be given.01:02:41We have full packed agenda there as well. We have ServiceNow integration explained in depth, even notifications how you can get that from center API development toolkit, and another thing which we ought to cover in this session, but we are pushing next is the Meraki global.01:02:43Overview, ok? So how you can have Catalyst and Meraki all shown up in one global overview session. If you would like to have one on one discussions, please reach out to this mail and we can have further discussions. As a next step, we have a survey invite that will be sent to you.01:03:03It's a just 2 min survey. We expect that if you let us know what you want more, we will be able to offer better. So thank you for your time. We value your feedback a lot. And to just to respect everyone's time, we have skipped few topics.01:03:22But then, we will be covering them in the next session to join in the next section, next session which is there in the next month, July second and thank you for your time. Thank you so much. Hope you all enjoyed.01:03:40Your time. If there are any other tools that you would like to integrate with Catalyst Center or do you know whether it is possible or not? Just type in your answer in the Slido question, which is there on your right hand side of the screen.01:03:56The question flashing there is which other catalyst center integration would you like to discuss in the next sessions? Thank you so much. Thanks for your time.01:04:15
