I, welcome, everyone. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you're joining us from. Appreciate you spending part of your day with us to talk about Cisco IQ Fundamentals features in the.00:00Capabilities. My name is Mike Jennings. I have the privilege of being a leader of customer success specialists here at Cisco. I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Jackie Sachin and Sal who are here as panelists that will take your Q and A as we go through the session today.00:20Hopefully everybody had a chance to log into our Slido. If you haven't, go ahead and grab a screenshot or of the QR code here or go to slido.com, enter that code and the the passcode. You'll find in Slido we have a quick poll just to see where everybody is on your Cisco IQ journey as well as that's where you'll find the Q and A.00:36For today's session. Okay, few quick housekeeping things just before we get started. 1st of all, all microphones have been muted for your benefit in mind. You will see that the the Slido has launched so you'll see a slido option in the in the Webex app toward the bottom. The chat has been.00:55Mostly disabled if you have a technical support issue, you can still use the chat to talk to the panelists. They'll, they'll help you as much as they can.01:15With any issues there. If you'd like to have closed captioning turned on, you'll find that in the bottom left of your Webex screen. Hand raise has been disabled the the emojis if you want to use those, great. The session is being recorded and transcribed. You'll get a copy of the the presentation materials as well at the end of the session. We'll show you where to find that.01:22And then once the session ends, you will be presented a very brief survey. We'd very much appreciate the feedback. If you could tell us, you know, what went well, what we could improve on, things you'd like to see in future sessions.01:42Okay. Now we are kicking off a September series of four sessions, so we're in the Cisco IQ Fundamentals features and capabilities. Over the next few weeks, we're going to go deeper into the different features of Cisco IQ, we're gonna talk next week about contracts and data connectors. The following week we'll talk about Cisco IQ link connector and in the the 4th.01:534th session in September, we're going to go a little bit deeper on real use cases where you might go into Cisco IQ for assets, assessments and support.02:13If you haven't registered for the rest of those sessions, please feel free to use that registration code or the QR code on the left there. And we'll give this to you again of course at the end of the session. Okay, so let's talk about what today is gonna look like. So we're gonna go over Cisco IQ, we want to make sure everybody has a firm foundation.02:22We're gonna talk about some of the July and August feature releases. There are quite a few to talk about. We're gonna highlight a few. We'll go through a few more in the demo, of course. We're gonna try to keep the PowerPoint to a minimum and spend most of the time today on live demo. Okay, so let's dive into some.02:41Overview here. So why Cisco IQ? Why should you care? What is the value proposition? And I think this slide does a lot of work for us. So as an IT manager over on the left hand side, you can see that it is so much more than just asset management. Maybe you have an expensive asset management tool already. Great. You know, maybe you're you're managing your.03:01Assets with spreadsheets. You know, that's fine too. Maybe you have a spreadsheet for devices, maybe you have a spreadsheet for contracts, but asset management is only a piece of all the information sources that, that we need to manage, and that's where Cisco IT really comes in to its own. We have things like security advisories, field notices, SR and Ds and configuration backbone.03:20Best practices guys already, there are a lot of information sources beyond just asset management and that's where Cisco IQ really shines.03:40So you as an IT manager don't have to manage all of those information sources. All you need to do is really just tell Cisco IQ about your devices, right? And, and we bring that 40 years of Cisco experience to bear for you and with you in the Cisco IQ platform.03:47Okay, so that's what we're talking about in the benefits on the right side there. The complete landscape clarity, right? This is just making sure that we have a good picture of all of the assets that you have on your management. You'll hear this referred to as your footprint or your state, right? We use those terms interchangeably. But the really cool thing, once we have all that data collected, once we have all of your assets in one.04:03Place. Then we can really bring to bear a lot of automation and AI.04:23Right, so one of the things that AI excels at very much so is pattern recognition. So when we run that pattern recognition against your data set, we can start to surface a lot of those insights for you. We can surface the proactive risk analysis. We can surface a lot of.04:27Your vulnerabilities, right? So we can show you where you need to take action, where you need to spend the limited amount of time that you have, ok? So that's what we talk about in proactive resilience. That's where we're gonna be running different assessments. We'll talk in good detail about a lot of those assessments today.04:43But just suffice to say that we can use a lot of AI enablement to to surface those insights, but then to go even deeper than that and if we can take those insights and we can turn those into recommendations and recommended actions, right? And we'll get into that today.05:00When we talk about rapid resolution, there's actually a couple of facets to that. 1st and foremost, if, if, if you're like most people, most of us on the call, I assume have had an experience of opening a TAC case, something pretty simple. So even if you can find that spreadsheet that has that contract number or that serial number, right? What's the 1st thing that TAC asks?05:15Before they're gonna say, send me some logs, right? Naturally.05:35So what if I told you that not only could Cisco IQ open that case for you, right? Save you some time there, but if you give it permission it can also go and grab those logs for you, right? It can upload those logs for you. And again, if you give it permission to do so, it can actually even give the tech engineer access to that device via Cisco IQ link.05:38Right? Saving you real time and driving faster resolution to your problem, ok? Not to mention the AI that's built into Cisco IQ can also take logs that you give it, right, and ask it real questions, real natural language prompting. I'm seeing this particular error message on this device. Tell me about it. Tell me, help me, you know, and it's.05:58If it, if it, you know, if it comes to it, you can of course use Cisco IQ to open a case, manage cases, so on and so forth.06:18Okay, when we talk about professional services, we're not gonna talk about that a lot today. I'll mention it in a couple of spots, but in any part in your Cisco IT journey, especially when we start talking about the resilient infrastructure services, you can bring professional services in to walk alongside you.06:25To help you make sense of where you are in that journey, even to lead that journey for you, right? But we're not really gonna get too deep into professional services today. The thing I want to really highlight is the bottom right, because this is included with your Cisco support contract, right? Cisco IQ is yours to use for NO additional charge.06:41Right, so the the contracts that you're already paying for is what's gonna unlock the features and capabilities of Cisco IQ. And I don't want to go deep into a big marketing session here, but I think everybody needs foundationally to understand how the the features work. So maybe you've heard of service, maybe you've heard of support. So when we talk about support, we've actually.07:00Simplify that into three different levels. So you'll hear these referred to as tiers. These are the things that traditionally unlock access to technical assistance, right? It's attack.07:20But then as we go higher in the tiers, we also unlock additional features, AI driven features within Cisco IQ. Now I'll do my best to highlight whenever we get into some of these features that are only unlocked at the higher levels as we go through the demo today, ok? But a few things just to make sure that we're all foundationally aware of, right? When we talk about.07:30Support, we're talking about something that's assigned to a device, right? Then that device with a particular support is assigned to a service contract. Okay. And the service contract is what we're gonna add to Cisco IQ to give IQ the the knowledge of the different levels of support that we have for our devices.07:50Right, now a few things to highlight. Number one, whenever we talk about different service or or different support levels, so devices that are on different support levels will get different access to assessments in Cisco IQ. I'll call those out as we get into the live demo today.08:08But you're not tied to one particular level, ok? It's gonna be driven on this, the, the support for that particular device. So you'll see that some assessments that might only be available to standard and signature. So devices that are basic or don't have any support might not be eligible for that assessment.08:23Okay, we don't need to get deep in that right now. We're gonna talk about that in greater detail. The other things that I want to point out for you is even if you don't have support on a device, there are still features in Cisco IQ that are available to you that they're just that important. So we're talking about security advisories. We're talking about asset management, of course, we're talking about field notices.08:40We'll call those out as well as we get to them. But like I said, they're so important to the health and security of your network that they're included at, at NO cost, ok? Now, if you have questions about your current support con your service contract or current support levels, of course reach out to your account team.09:00We're this isn't the sales call, so if you need help finding that account team we can provide that link as well. Okay, so let's talk about what's new. So one of the great things about Cisco IQ is it's SaaS based, right? It's in the cloud. So we're very agile with the development of new features and the deployment.09:16Of those features. So July actually saw an enormous release of features, some of which are included here, August as well. So the the ones that are checked here are ones that I want to take a really quick look at because these were some of the more popular ones.09:36But you can see that there are over 21 more that haven't been listed here. So resilient infrastructure services, again, we'll get to these in in order in just a moment, but we're talking about how do you make yourself make your network ready for the age of mythose?09:50Right, I imagine everybody on the call here has had that ah moment that for all the greatness and and benefit that AI has, there's a dark side to it, right? A bad actor can attack your network at machine speed now. Okay, and I think Mithus was really a wake up call.10:06For us. Quantum safe infrastructure kind of in the same vein of thought. Quantum computing is right around the corner. So how are you ready for that? How are you preparing for that? How are you preparing to secure your network for that? Right, today's encryption protocols are, are, are not going to be sufficient.10:21Okay, so how are you ready for that? Pure benchmarking, we'll talk about in just a moment, but this is gonna look at you as a, as an estate and compare you to your, your peers, to we'll say your contemporaries based on market, industry and size, and then Cisco IQ for air gap.10:39As of 20 August is finally generally available. So I know that's gonna be very important for some of you on this call that are maybe in like the US federal space or that your your data residency requirements, you're not allowed to use cloud based, applications and features.10:57Right, so we'll talk about that. And then the last one here, the Cisco IQ APIs, so especially for those of you coming from CX Cloud, you probably you very well might use CX cloud as a collection point for your data, right? So the Cisco IQ APIs are going to be a preview. I want to make that very clear. This is a beta preview release.11:13It is not recommended that you use these in production yet, right? But if you want to start getting an idea of what that's gonna look like. And then of course we have release notes and links that we'll get to you after the call here. Okay, so let's go a little bit deeper on resilient infrastructure services. This is not the, this is not the.11:33The core focus of this call. This is just to make you aware of what this looks like.11:53Cause again, you know, I it was eye opening at least for me, and I assume for you as well, whenever we start to think about, well now AI models are being trained on not only software development but also software vulnerabilities. So the idea was that this this mythos, and I think Mythos is kind of the straw man here.11:57Right, we're talking about a lot of different frontier models that now have this capability, but what we realized is, you know, for all the good that it could do to help us identify vulnerabilities in our software, if used by the hand in the hands of a bad actor, they too can find those vulnerabilities and attack you at scale at machine speed.12:17Right, so I'm not trying to induce panic, but we do need to prepare for this and that's what RIS is really is really gearing toward. And you'll notice this isn't a three step process. This is a circular motion, this is an always on motion, ok? We're, again, not going to go super deep, but where Cisco IQ comes into this picture is Cisco IQ has an.12:37As playbook.12:56And we will take a look at this in a little bit more detail as part of the live demo, but what we're really trying to do for you and with you is show you your risk, right? So let's make sure we have the entire attack service mapped out. Let's give you some guidance on how you could prepare your network. And then let's talk about, ok, well, what needs.12:58Needs to be remediated. Maybe it's new hardware, maybe it's software updates, right?13:18Okay, and this is the only place where we're really gonna talk about professional services. If at any time you'd like to bring in professional services, you absolutely can. So talk to your account team, they can come alongside you, they can lead the conversation, they can join you side by side in the conversation.13:24To make sure that you're AI ready. Okay, now like I mentioned quantum computing, right? It seems like a thing of the far distant future, but folks it's, it's coming sooner than you like. And the biggest risk that we have here today.13:40Is anybody can really see your data in transit. They can't do much with it today because it's encrypted, right? So the biggest risk that we're seeing today is this harvest now decrypt later. And what that means is I'm gonna capture your data in transit today or addressed, but I'm gonna capture your data that's encrypted. Maybe I can't do anything with it today, but with quantum computing, it's gonna crack.13:56Days encryption.14:16Like it doesn't exist, right? So that data maybe a year from now, maybe five years from now, I'll be able to decrypt that and I'll be able to use it. And it's probably still gonna be useful information. I think that's the biggest risk that we see today. So quantum safe infrastructure is really getting you aligned with what that's gonna look like. What is the encryption that we actually need to use?14:17Today. What is the hardware that's not gonna support that?14:37Today, ok? So we'll take a really quick look at that as part of the demo. Pure benchmarking, pretty straightforward again. We're gonna take, we're not gonna use your real data. Everything is anonymized, but we're gonna take customers that are of similar size and similar markets and similar industries, and we're gonna use some real comparisons, right? So you can see how you can.14:40Compare, e.g., and how many, a percentage of your devices that are past last day of support.15:00Right, so you can use that, you know, if, if you're, if you'd like to try to make a play for network refresh, right? You can help the, you can use that data as leverage to show where you are in relation to peers in your industry.15:05Okay, we'll take a very quick look at that in the demo as well, ok? And then on prem air gap deployments. Again, this is not a core of of this particular session today, but I did want to mention it just because it did officially go general availability. So this is taking Cisco IQ that lives in the cloud today and this is bringing.15:23Putting it behind your firewall. So the full functionality.15:42Of Cisco IQ is gonna live on premises in your environment, ok? Including the AI piece. So what that looks like then, so on the left, what we're talking about today, the cloud version of Cisco IQ, right? And then we have on the far right the on premises version of Cisco IQ.15:46What is still to come is what's called the tethered version. So if you'd like to have the security, the data residency of Cisco on queue or Cisco IQ on premises, but you still want to receive updates live from the cloud, right? We can do that. Okay.16:05All right, that was a lot. Thanks for sticking with me there. So what I'd like to do is actually go ahead and get right into live demo, right? If for some reason the demo environment doesn't cooperate, it was working fine this morning. We'll go back to slides and, and cover it that way.16:23And then we'll finish off with some resources in the slide deck, but I really wanted to show you the power of Cisco IQ and the simplicity of it. And we'll kind of take a walk around here. But 1st of all fundamentally, if you've never been into Cisco IQ before I would invite you to go even right now, iQ.cisco.com.16:39Right? You'll be presented with a single sign on page and what it's gonna be looking for is your Cisco cco ID, right? So the ID and password that you use to open a tech case that you use to download software, right? You might run into a couple of issues that I'm gonna talk about just very, very briefly. You, you do need to use a.16:58Company domain, if you're using something like gmail, that's not gonna work unfortunately.17:18Right, if you happen to be getting a four oh three unauthorized error, you know, that's that's more than likely the cause, right? As you're using a public domain, you could also be potentially be using VPN. So I would say if you're, if you're getting that error message, go ahead and and put it in the Q and A We can we can maybe look at that with you. But more often than not, we're gonna.17:22Have to ask you to open a tech case, ok? The other thing you might run into if you go to iQ.cisco.com and try to log in.17:42Because you might find that your account already exists, so your company account already exists. If that's the case, we'll need to help you find the admin for that account and they can add you as either administrator or a viewer, ok? The demo that you're seeing today is view only access, ok? So you're not gonna see the admin features that we're gonna be talking about next week and the following week.17:49When we talk about connectors in Cisco IT link, ok? Alright, so with that, why don't we take a quick walk around the navigation and then we'll go deeper into the the different modules, ok?18:09So starting at the very top left, we have the Cisco IQ logo. Anytime that you're navigating within Cisco IQ, that is gonna track with you. Cisco IQ and the Cisco logo up here, that's always gonna bring you back to the home screen or the launchpad we call it.18:24Right? That's always gonna be there. Top right, you're always gonna have access to the AI assistant, ok? In the AI assistant, and we'll actually go there real quick. A couple of different things. It's gonna save the last view that you have, but you can view the AI assistant in a few different ways. So right now we're looking at a docked view.18:40So this doc view is gonna follow you throughout your Cisco IQ journey wherever you happen to be, so you can immediately ask a questions. We also have a dedicated view or a full screen view, and this looks a lot like any of your popular frontier model harnesses that you've used, right? We have some new conversation and saved threads on the left, we have.18:58Some suggested prompts at the bottom here. Natural language, of course, you know, just like you would.19:18Interact or run inference against any other, any other popular model out there today. We do have a prompt library where you can say favorites, you can use, you know, just based on whatever you happen to be doing, right? We have some recommendations for case management, for troubleshooting.19:25Right, all kinds of goodness there. If you do happen to be doing troubleshooting, you can absolutely upload logs, right? So you can get immediate information on on some troubleshooting, open cases, closed cases, update cases, all kinds of goodness.19:41Okay, so we'll do some real use cases here probably more toward the end. And if you have, you know, multiple monitors, you can also have the AI system pop up in a completely separate window if you like. Okay.19:56All right, the question mark is actually kind of interesting. So if you ever come across an issue, if you're having a problem with Cisco IQ, now this is different from a feature request. If you're having a problem, you're gonna come up to the question mark and go down and report an issue, right? That'll open the case directly that way. But we also have access to all the different resources and documentation.20:14Just nice and easy links here. And also under your profile if you if you'd like to have different language or you'd like to have a different theme, certainly you can do that as well, ok? Also up here, I'm actually glad this popped up. It's a notification bar. So you'll see that we actually have a a pretty significant piece of.20:33Announcement tomorrow. So you can come in and look at the announcement directly. So we have a lot of live links throughout Cisco IQ will call these out as, as we see them. But any of these live links will take you out to actual documentation. So this is the PCR that'll be delivered tomorrow. You can go ahead and get a preview of that.20:53Okay. If this is your 1st time coming into Cisco IQ, there's certainly a learning journey, if you'd like to take a look at that. Coming down, we talked about AI assistant, it's of course front and center in the launch pad. It's always gonna be available in the top right. And you'll also see as we get into the different modules.21:12There's going to be content specific.21:31Instances where you can grab the AI assistant and it'll already be tuned to what you're looking at. Modules will come back to you in great detail. So the the ones that we had, and you might have heard these called applications before now they're calling them modules, but assets is gonna be where you'll find all of your inventory assessments.21:35This is where you'll find things like security advisory, certificates, configuration best practices, things like that. We'll take a good look at.21:54And then support is where you can go to manage TAC cases where you can manage RMA cases, ok? Support tiers I want to take a very brief look at cause this is not a sales presentation, but you do need to be aware of of the different features that are available at different support levels. So like I mentioned, even if you don't have it.22:02Only support at all on your devices. You are still entitled.22:22So all the things in the all category here. So asset inventory, asset tagging end of life support, reporting, last day of support, right? Right on down the list, security advisories, field notices, they're just that important, right? That you have that information. As you get into the basic levels, we start to get a little bit more, and then as you see in the standard levels, there's really.22:25To where we start to get into the AI enabled features. That's what the little star icon is here. So these are all AI.22:45Features. So at the standard level, you're gonna get a lot of the insights and we'll definitely get a good look at those. And then at the signature level, you're gonna start to get deeper insights, you're gonna start to get those recommendations, right? So it's not only are we gonna surface the problem.22:52And and show you what we'll actually take it to the next level and make recommendations. Even code snippets we'll see here in a little while. Ok. And then resilient infrastru infrastructure services, we'll kind of end with that and reporting.23:07And take a better look at that. But you see again, it's, it's so important that it's included, ok, for for even devices that aren't supported. Now, as you get onward in the RIS playbook, and again, we'll look at this in a few minutes, some features of that do require the higher end. So things like iOS software upgrades, right?23:23Okay, so enough of that I think. So we'll come back again. We can either go Cisco IQ, we can go back to the launch pad, ok? We're always gonna have the what's new, right? So that'll link out to the July and August what's news and then more resources down at the bottom here.23:44Mentioned very briefly Cisco IQ APIs. If you'd like more information about that, you'll find that on your on your launchpad as well.24:04Okay. Dashboards, we're gonna come back to our AS playbook, we're gonna come back to reports we'll cover at the end as well. All right. Now I would like to remind you if you have questions as we go along, please post those in the Q and A panel and we'll be happy to get those answered. Any questions that don't get answered today, we'll get into the Cisco community space that we'll talk.24:12About the end of the call. Alright, so let's talk about assets. So anytime we go into a module, the 1st thing you're gonna be greeted with is an overview, ok? So that applies to the assets that applies to assessments that applies to support.24:31Now in the overview, this is a fully customizable view, so maybe some of this doesn't really apply to you. Maybe you want to see something more specific, right? So a few things we can do here. Most views in Cisco IQ, you'll find filters and not just a couple of filters, but a lot of filters, so you can get very granular in the data that you want to see.24:49Because more than likely your footprint, your estate is gonna be pretty extensive, right? So we're not gonna go through this in great detail right now. We'll take a look at this a little bit more shortly. But all the filters, once you find filters that you like, you can absolutely save the filters down at the bottom here.25:10Which will show up in your saved filters. We can also customize this view. So maybe, maybe you do like the view and you wanna see, just making this up here. Maybe assets by importance you want to have closer to the top, maybe something like.25:27Critical or high security advisories, maybe for some reason that's not applicable to you. But what you can do here is customize this to your, to your liking, right? So we could save that. If for some reason once you make a change you'd like to.25:44Come back and undo that change. You can certainly do that as well. So we can always customize and reset to default if you want to start over. Okay. All right, and I mentioned the ask AI shows up.26:02Occasionally outside of just what you see at the top and just on your launchpad. So if I were to turn open the ask AI and actually I'm gonna dock it here just so we can see on the left and right. The recommendations that it's gonna give you, you can still ask it anything about, you know, anything that you would normally ask it, but it's gonna be tuned to, you know.26:19What do you want to know more about in the particular view that you're in?26:38Okay, that's the only reason that that shows up in that way. Alright, so coming down, let's go ahead and take a look at our inventory. Okay. So as you saw on the overview page, we have a lot of devices in the, in the lab environment here, right? Some of this.26:41On different levels and what we see here is actually our 1st view of insights, AI driven insights, right? So before we really get into the assets I want to show you this. A lot of screens are gonna give you AI driven insights and you'll get a view very similar to this where we have.27:02A particular insight and if you want to see graphical information about it, you want to see more information about it, you can get the view, you get a little fly out on the side here that talks a lot about that particular insights. Now, if you want to take those insights kind of to the next level, we can do this full analysis.27:22Okay, and this gives you, that actually loaded faster than I thought it would. This takes the insights and actually expands on them, right? So this is gonna give you different charts and graphs and information right on down the list.27:40And this is something that you can absolutely download directly as a PowerPoint as a finished report, right? So, and then we can also customize it, we can save it as a report. And like I said, we're gonna end in the reporting section anyway.27:55But if once you have it where you like it, you can directly save it there. We can also customize it. So if there's something in here that you don't like, you know, you want to see a chart of a different type. You want to see data of a different type, right? We can come in and customize in a couple of different ways, right? We can.28:10Natural language, like I would like to see, you know, a stacked graph of whatever, whatever it happens to be. There's gonna be prompts already built in here so if you want to, you know, it's gonna make recommendations on enriching what you have here on changing the focus of what we have here.28:28On changing the text even of what we have in here, ok? And the same with like our overview pages, if there's something you don't want to see, we can delete it. If there's things you want to move around, you absolutely can do that as well, ok? Now anytime that we make a change that's AI driven, right, it does ask if you want to keep that change or cancel it.28:46Okay, and also I'm gonna call out again, this is generative AI. Generative AI is not perfect, ok? So you definitely need to be track checking to make sure that the data that you, you see here, right? You don't want to take that as immediate truth. You want to definitely check over it.29:06Okay. All right, so again we can save it, we can immediately PDF it. All right. Cool. So that's AI insights and that's the full analysis, ok? You can also, if you happen to see an error, you can rate.29:23You can rate the question the the response, you can also regenerate the response there. And one thing I actually failed to mention at the beginning, the feedback down here. So if you encounter that there's a a feature that's missing or perhaps there's you know something with the user experience.29:40So on and so forth. We'd love that feedback, right? Because again, this, this is this is a SaaS based product. This is something that we can iterate on very quickly. So if there's a feature that's missing or there's something that you're having an issue with, you know, please go ahead and report that. Okay.29:57So let's take a look at assets here. And one thing that I want to show you very briefly before we get into an asset is this little gear icon way over on the right here. If you'd like to change the view of your table, ok, there's a couple ways we can do that. So 1st of all, we can change the density of it. If you want more information, less information in the same space.30:15We can also add additional columns, so you can see that we actually have quite a bit unselected by default. So if you'd like more information included in your table, you can absolutely do that more or less or however you like it. Okay, and then likewise, I mentioned the filters. We have the filters here as well. Filter lives on the top here. You see we have one filter already applied.30:35We can add additional filters. And again, it's a long, long list of filters. Something that we're gonna look at over the next couple of weeks are data sources. So where are we actually ingesting these assets from, right? We can look at things.30:54Excuse me, like support tiers. Like if you only want to look at devices that are on signature because you're looking for a particular assessment, so on and so forth, right? You can see lots lots of information. We can sort on tags, we can sort on locations, device types, modules, right? It's all there.31:10Okay, but let's just grab a device kind of sort of at random here. I'm just gonna grab the 1st one on the list. So all of your devices, all of your assets are gonna have similar information available to you. So the details coming down from the top, we have the product ID all the way down, you know, serial numbers, IP.31:27The information, software information, different tags. We're not really gonna get into tags today, but tags are something that you can customize as an IQ admin, and it's basically a pair of data sources. So you can say, you know, location San Jose, you know, however you want to do that.31:47Coming down, we can see the signal type where we're actually seeing the device come in from. In this case, we're actually getting this information from catalyst center, right? We're gonna talk quite a bit about Catalyst Center in our 3rd session when we talk about Cisco IT link, right? And then we can see coverage information at the bottom, you see that this one doesn't, in particular, doesn't have coverage.32:06But again, that's fine. We can still get some information out of it. Product alerts, as you can imagine, we're gonna give you security advisories in here and then hardware and software, we're gonna talk about the different milestones. So if if end of sale has been announced for a particular device or a particular software code version.32:26We're gonna track the milestones with you as we progress. And then of course you can open up any additional milestones down here just to see if more information about them, ok? And that's both on the hardware and the software side. Okay, now we'll get occasionally we'll get the breadcrumb trail at the top here so we can go back.32:46You can also use the navigation on the left here to go back and forth, ok? So we'll get more into some specific inventory tasks, some security advisories here in just a few minutes. But coming down the left hand side here, we also have service contracts, ok? So if you ever need information from a particular service contract, it's gonna be listed here.33:05Now unless you're an IQ admin, you're not gonna be able to add service contracts, but as if you are, you'll still be able to see service contracts.33:25So as you go in here, you're gonna get the basic information, right? Start date and date, we're gonna get the type of contract, right? The tier, the type of support, right? And you also see assets that are part of that contract.33:31Okay, services EA summary is actually a newer feature in here. This is just kind of tracking your growth, the growth of your estate over a period of time, and then end of life, again, is hardware and software reporting directly, ok?33:46So that's assets in a nutshell. So let's go over to assessments. And remember we can get to it either through this method assessments, right? Or we can go back to our home and get into the assessments model module directly from the launchpad there.34:02Okay now we're gonna spend a good bit of time in assessments because this is where a lot of the AI enabled features really start to shine. And a few things just to point out, again, we have the overview, like I mentioned, we're gonna have the overview for all of our modules. We have the ask AI that's gonna be pre tuned for.34:20You know, hey, let's let's give you more information about what's in the assessments. We'll have the same customization options here.34:40So certainly, you know, there's a lot of information here, lots and lots of information, and this is where we start to differentiate the different service low or this different support levels, ok? So as we go down the list, you'll find things like security advisories. We'll take a look at 1st. Security advisories again is open to any device, even unsupported.34:48Recorded ones, but when we get into something like software conformance, we'll just show this real quick. Ok, well live demo. All right, there we go. So we'll look at software conformance, you'll see that we've added tags in here to show you very specifically.35:06What tier of support is required for a device to be included in, in these assessments, ok? We'll come back to software conformance in a minute, but I just want to point out that security advisories and field notices again, they're so important that they're included. So security advisories, let's take a good look.35:26At these because you're gonna run into this this a lot, like even if you're super diligent, right? There's always gonna be new P certs announced, they're always gonna contain new CVEs, right? So it's just a matter of making sure that you're aware of them, right? So you can take action against them.35:44Okay. So again, we have filters, so if there's something in particular you want to look at, we can absolutely do that. I did mention in the assets, we also have the export option, so the view that you're on, you can absolutely export to Excel or CSV, excuse me.36:01But anyway, let's go in and actually look at one of these rules. So anytime we talk about an assessment at the top, we have what the assessment does. You know, this is pretty straightforward, but as we get into like like quantum readiness, I I think that's a little bit more abstract. You might wanna read through like what is that assessment actually looking at? And what are the rules.36:18Tools that it's actually.36:37Measuring against. Okay, so if we look down here, we can see again we whoops, we have the ability to change how we look at this table. We have the gear icon where we can go in and create, sorry, still catching up with me here.36:39Where we can go and change the view, right? We can add different things to the view, we can make it more or less dense, right? Say filters, all that goodness. But as we come into each of the additional rules, we can see the devices that are potentially affected, right? Maybe we don't have enough information, but we still suspect that that device might.36:59Affected. Or we can go into and look at devices that are absolutely affected. Okay, so we're just gonna grab this 1st one here because we see that we have seven devices that are confirmed affected, ok? So what we're gonna see in here is information just plain text. What does this actually mean?37:18So of course we could show more and you'll just see, you know, exactly what the, their particular risk is here. We'll get the severity this happens to be critical. We'll see the CVS CVSSS score more often than not, it's a score of zero to ten on criticality on, on the actual risk. Zero being basically NO risk.37:37To Ten being the most extreme risk. We're also gonna have direct access to the security advisory. So clicking on that link takes you directly out to what you would find in the documentation. So NO more searching for that, right? It's it's gonna be right there at your fingertips. And as we get into the affected.37:56Devices, the asset findings. This is something I want to point out cause this can get a little bit confusing. Looking at what we have on the left hand side here, going down the left, we have all the different assessments, right? When we go into an asset findings tab, so whenever we go in, you'll see that as I click on a device.38:16Here, right? What we're gonna see is information about this particular device, ok? But if you wanted to go more, get more information about the device itself, we can go in two ways. We can go into the asset findings here, we can go into the evaluated asset.38:35But what it's basically gonna do is take what you see vertically here and it's gonna apply it horizontally here to that very specific device, ok? And you're only gonna see the assessments across the top here that that particular device is eligible for based on its support tier.38:55Okay, we'll take a look at a signature device here in a moment. This device happens to be on basic, right? So we only see a particular set of of information. Okay, but for that particular device, we could very quickly see that while it's, you know, while it has been exposed and vulnerable to that one particular CVE.39:14We can go and see, ok, well, maybe what are the other security advisories that we can address at the same time, ok? Field notices of course software version. Anyway, we'll get to the rest of that. But in the security advisory itself, we can again see the severity of it. We can see.39:34More information about the the issue itself. Sorry, demo keeps lagging a little bit. Ok, so field notices, basically the same thing. We can see devices that are affected by that.39:53Before we actually leave security advisories, I want to show you one, sorry it's, there we go. So if we look at going to pick another one here where we know we have some affected devices.40:09Okay, let's expand this list a little bit. Okay, so this one's on standard. So again, we saw some features on standard and as you get into signature, then we can start seeing the, the recommendations. So not just we're gonna surface the risk, but we're actually gonna show you the risk.40:35Recommendations on on how to go about solving for that risk, ok? So as we go through software conformance, very similar in nature, so we're gonna talk about devices that are not running current recommended best practices or or.40:56Current recommended releases. Okay, so this is things that are, you know, software that's, that's end of support software that we know has vulnerabilities, so on and so forth there. Configuration you'll see is also one of our standard signature.41:13Offerings in here. As you go through there, you can see if you give it permission, right? Devices that come through telemetry through Cisco IQ link especially, we're gonna get information from that device specific to the configuration even. So.41:29You know, one that is sorry, there we go. Apologies. The demo was kind of delayed here.41:46We're gonna go through and talk about so like SR and D and configuration best practices guides, so we're gonna look for things that we know are issues, ok? So leaving bty's open, type seven passwords is another popular one. It's one of my favorite ones to look at.42:02Anybody that's been configuring, you know, in the CLI, you know, we can, we can absolutely see, in this case, we'll look at one that's passed, ok? So a particular, a particular configuration issue or potential configuration issue, we'll look at one that passed here and we can see the.42:22Results. So what does it look for? It looks very specifically for the evidence within that configuration file. So obviously this isn't using a type seven password so it's fine, right? It's, it's passed here. But if we were to look at one that's actually failed.42:41And this is where standard versus signature, kind of shines if we look at one that didn't pass. So again, we're gonna get the same information that we saw on standard, where we find the very line of evidence within the code, right? So you can see that this is still a type seven password. Type seven passwords are easily broken, right? There's tools you can down.42:55Someone from the internet.43:15But then when we talk about deep insights and recommended actions from the signature level, this is where we're actually gonna get the code to go fix it, ok? Now again, generative AI, make sure that you double check everything before you paste it into your, into your system, ok? But basically, you know, it's gonna give you the fix.43:17Okay, so that's the configuration, software hardening, right? We always have software hardening guides and it's a lot to keep track of, of course. So we're gonna be talking about bringing all those guides to bear for you and with you.43:36Right, so you'll get surfaced information from those guides on, you know, where you want to focus your time. Again, type seven password is one of my favorite ones to pick on. You know, this comes from a the Cisco iOS XE software hardening guide, right? So again, we can link directly out to it.43:51If you'd like the source information, ok? Or you can just look down and find the devices that are affected there, ok? Certificates, if you've ever been part of an expired certificate hunt, I mean that's, that's not a lot of fun. So we're tracking the X5X5 oh nine certificates for you.44:09And it's kind of a countdown, so obviously you can see the severity.44:29Is getting greater, the closer we get to zero day on expired certificates, right? That's trouble you don't want to have. That's something Cisco IQ is gonna surface for you, ok? And if you've been watching as we go along, we're always gonna have these AI insights. We're always gonna still have the option for full analysis and reporting.44:32And then quantum readiness, and then we'll take a look at support here. So again, the support tier is listed, so devices that are not on that support tier are not going to be included in the assessment. That's all that means, right? So we can talk through different rules again, different things that we look at to make sure that your, your environment is quantum ready.44:52Alright, so why don't we move on and look at support? And again, support module is gonna start with an overview. Okay, interestingly, this one you don't see the customization options for. This is pretty straightforward, right? These are your cases.45:16What you can look at in the top here, these are cases for the entire company. These are rmas for the entire company, and then these are your cases and your rmas based on your CCO login, right? So these are the cases that you're managing, ok?45:33We do have the option to open a case directly, right? So this will take you out to a very familiar page where you open a case online. You can still call TAC, absolutely. But now you have the option to open a case directly from Cisco IQ, Right using the AI system.45:47Okay, so managing a case, I'm just gonna grab one here at random. We'll look at a few things. So case summary, affected devices, attack regression details, lots of great information in here, contact information, escalation information, right? So the AI assistant can help you with a lot of different things here as far.46:03There's adding notes, case escalations, uploading files, you can see we do have a file share, even something as simple as that, right? I mean, can save you some time just being able to upload files directly.46:23Notes you can view kind of what the what's happening with the case, add your own notes if you want to send something associated bugs, we'll see with that and associated rmas, and we're not gonna wait for this to load. We'll just move on to rmas here where the same same deal, right? You'll see one's either for your company or one's for you.46:35And we can track if this Okay, we'll give this just a second. Okay, that's not gonna load and that's fine. So we can track the rmas from basically from RMA creation to, you know, the track the deliveries, track the return shipments.46:55Right, all the way from open to close, ok? So it doesn't look like that's gonna load for us, but that's ok. Alright, so let's keep going. So went back to the home. We're back on the main launch pad, and let's take a real quick peek at dashboards just before we wrap things up here.47:13So LDOS, last day of service, last day of support dashboards here. So we're talking about all the devices that are approaching that kind of danger zone, right? The the one of the most dangerous things you can have on your network is a device that's NO longer supported because it's NO longer receiving software updates, so new vulnerabilities are not being patched.47:32Right, so the LDOS dashboard, just like other, other views that you've seen in the demo today, very customizable, you can certainly say filters, so on and so forth there, ok? Here benchmarks, we talked about here benchmarking.47:52Again, we're not using real data from you. We're using anonymized data to compare you to your peers, but you can use this information to make a case for, e.g.. So you can see on all of these tables, you know, these are your peers and this is you. So, e.g., telemetry enabled assets, number of assets with telemetry enough.48:07More grades.48:27Your peers generally have fewer than you from a percentage perspective, right? LDOS outlook, you know, how many devices as a percentage are past LDOS, right? Meaning they're beyond support, right? Your peers 5 %, you 13 %. So you might use a statistic like that to drive a conversation with finance on network.48:28Refresh.48:48Okay, certainly a lot more information in, in there. Something I'd like to spend a little bit more time on is the RAS playbook, ok? So again, this, like it says at the very top, this is our AI error readiness plan, ok? This is not, I don't want you to see this. It's, it's it's listed as three steps.48:49But I don't want you to see this as a one and done. This is gonna be a cyclical thing where you're seeing not snapshots in time but real time data.49:09Right, so the 1st step in here, we're gonna map the attack surface, so you're gonna see very clearly, you know, devices that are under NO support. I mean, that's gonna be a problem, right? Because we're not getting the software that we need. We're not getting, they're not getting the attention that they need to be.49:17Getting the telemetry into, into Cisco IQ, right? So devices with telemetry, that's great 71 % without we probably want to address. A lot of these things that you see on on the different graphs are clickable, so if you want to see the assets, right, we can absolutely click on those. We'll see some insights.49:34Of course, it's gonna call out devices that don't have a service contract, right? So once we have the the mapping there, then of course number two here is how do we deal with that? What do we do about it? Right, so again, we're gonna see.49:52Very specifically, we can see a subset of devices that have, you know, critical importance assigned to them with potential issues and then more insights, right? Of course. And then step number three here.50:08You know, what do we do about it? How do we, how do we modernize, right? So devices passed last day of service, last day of support, right? Devices approaching that, like how do we plan for the sun setting of devices all the way up to three years and beyond?50:23And then if you do want to engage professional services, you can absolutely do that as well. If you come to the learn more I promised this link earlier, so if you don't know your Cisco account team, if you don't know how to get a hold of Cisco, this is kind of your default, right? So you can call in and we can get you guided to the appropriate resources.50:41Okay. Alright, one very small marketing thing that I am gonna share with you. We actually have a new offering that if you're on basic and you'd like to take advantage of standard services, talk to your account team. There is an offering right now where you don't have to renew your contract. You can get.51:03A a standard quick start. I'm not gonna share pricing information, anything like that. This isn't a sales, a sales call, but that is available if that's of interest to you, right? One of the last things probably second to the last thing I want to show you is the report. So anywhere in our journey today, anything that we did, any customization that we.51:23Made any filters that we did. A lot of that can, can again, if we go into that full analysis mode, it results in a report, right? So we can download that report right away after we customize it. We can save that report and that's what you're seeing here is this this reports.51:43There is, if you're an admin, we're not gonna talk about it today. There are executive reports if you're an admin, so you have access to additional reporting, but most viewers don't have access to that, so we're not really gonna talk about it here, but any saved report that you have, right? We can very quickly come into the report, we can refresh it, we can run it again.51:57Right, and then as you run those reports, I also want to show in this main reports tab, you can see the different runs of that report. So if it's something that you want to track or trend over time, you can absolutely do that as well. Right.52:17Last thing I want to talk about, and it's not really part of today's conversation, but just to preview the conversation for next week and the following week. So when we talk about bringing data into Cisco IQ, this is what we're gonna be talking about next week is, is for the next two weeks is data connectors. Next week we're gonna go very deep into cloud.52:34Cloud connectors. So we're talking about things that are already in the cloud. So you can see your inter site, Meraki, Webex.52:53Things that you're probably already using that already manage devices for you, ok? So we don't need to add those devices directly. We're gonna just add the manager of those devices, ok? So next week is all about contracts and cloud connectors. The following week we're gonna talk about Cisco IQ link.53:00So you'll see one of the biggest questions we get when we talk about cloud connectors, where's catalyst center, right? So Catalyst Center doesn't live in the cloud necessarily natively. It generally lives on your network. So how we get the data from Catalyst Center into Cisco IQ is by way of the Cisco IQ link.53:16It's one of the primary purposes of Cisco IQ Link as well as direct device connectivity so we can get telemetry from devices that aren't under management, right? You probably also have legacy collectors CSPC and CX agent if you're a CX cloud user, right? Those are still very valid sources of data.53:33But what we're recommending to everyone, and again, we don't need to panic, but you do need to start thinking about migrating away from CSPC and CX agent in favor of Cisco IQ link. If you have those collectors today, that's fine. You can still use them for now.53:51But all of the, well I'll say many of the new assessments are driven on telemetry that we're only gonna be able to get through Cisco IQ Link, ok? So while we're not really gonna talk about legacy collectors, if you don't have something already installed today, Cisco IQ Link is the way they wanna go.54:06Okay. I know that was a lot. I appreciate you sticking with me. I want to close today with just a few things, few closing thoughts here. Number one again, this is where we are today in this particular EIS journey that we're taking through the month of September. So we're talking IT fundamentals features and capabilities, of course. Next week is going.54:24To be contracts and data connectors. The following week is the IQ link and the 4th session is gonna be all about practical use cases, things that you're going to encounter on a day to day basis and how Cisco IQ can save you time.54:44In in handling those requests, right? The next thing that I want to show you is just some Cisco IQ resources. Again, you're gonna get a copy of this presentation once we get out to the the Cisco community page that I'll share in just a moment. If you only have access or you only check out one of these resources, I would recommend.54:57This one in the top left. This is really kind of a resource for all the resources, right? A general.55:16Place for for any of that documentation, ok? And then finally speaking of the Cisco community page, we have in the Cisco community pages an ask me anything section section for for Cisco IT specifically for this series.55:23So I'd invite you to go to the QR code here, go out and ask any questions that you didn't get answered today. And then you will be also redirected after the call today to this this particular site, right? And again, this is where you're going to find recording and transcript eventually as well as the presentation materials.55:39Okay, so I want to thank you for joining us today. Thanks for spending part of your time or part of your day with us. I would ask that once the, once the presentation ends here, you're gonna get redirected to a survey 1st. I would ask that you go ahead and fill that survey out. Tell us what we did well, what we still need to work on things you'd like to see in future sessions would greatly appreciate that.55:57And then once you're done with the survey, you'll get redirected automatically to the Cisco community page. So thanks again. Enjoy the day and I absolutely look forward to seeing you on a future session.56:17
