Hi, everyone, and welcome to today's expert Insight series, Intersight managed mode key functionalities and features.00:10My name is Martin Bright and I'll be your host for today. Today we have Joe Francis and Andrew Wong who will take us through today's session covering the lessons learned from the field about Intersight and the key features and functionalities that they're sharing with their customers.00:20We will be using Slido throughout today's session, so you can go to Slido.com or scan the QR code and join us as we have some questions that pertain to today's topics. So you can go to slido.com, use a join code, IMM or lowercase. You can also use that for the passcode.00:39MMM all lowercase and then you can join us as we have questions in regards to today's session.00:59We'll actually go ahead and kick off our 1st question, just let us know where you're joining from today. So we'll give it a minute to let folks log in to Slido and and let us know where you're joining from. If you're using the.01:08Webex app, you can also launch Slido from the bottom right and launch the Slido app and you can answer questions from there as well.01:24Yeah, looks like we got some votes coming in.01:45Okay, we've got some folks joining from Vancouver. Looks like we have someone coming in from Cancoon, New York. Great, so we can see Slido is working near Pittsburgh, Montreal, Raleigh.02:03Ford Worth Texas I'm actually out of Texas myself, San Francisco. So thank you for everyone that's participating in our Slido questions. We'll have more questions along the way pertaining to, your inter site journey.02:21So today's presenters, we have Joe Francis and Andrew Wong that will be taking us through today's session. Joe is a customer success specialist engineer focused on data center compute, container infrastructure as code, AI, and hybrid.02:38Cloud technologies. Joe brings the history of using and deploying Cisco core edge and cloud infrastructure and production IT operation environments for over 20 years as both an engineer and a manager.02:58Andrew has over 15 years of experience as a systems engineer and solutions architect. He previously worked in professional services and Cisco tech before becoming a CSS. He specializes in cloud architecture and orchestration. And with that, I will hand it over to you Joe.03:13Excellent. Thank you very much, Mark, I appreciate it. And for our audience today, again, my name is Joe Francis. I'll be guiding you through today's discussion. We'll be taking a look at these four areas that you see on your screen.03:36We'll start with some of the more standard inter site features and make sure we have an understanding of those. Next we'll move on to some inter site managed mode features and enumerate what you will gain.03:52From using Intersight in managed mode. Early we'll take a look at some day two operational features that you want to take advantage of when using Cisco Intersight managed mode. And lastly, number four, we'll take a look at some of the more advanced features.04:08So for our standard inter site features here, we see that inter site for you can be a single pane of glass for managing and monitoring your UCSB series, your C series, servers.04:28UCS X series is covered there as well. And now you'll be able to add your AI pods running on Cisco hardware. So one of the key values of Cisco Intersight is the alarm summarization that it provides.04:43We'll give you a nice consolidated view of some of the goings on in your environment. Let me get my pointer working here. And we can see that Intersight presents you with this portal when you 1st log in. Some of you maybe already familiar with this, so we won't be spending a lot of time on it.05:00But just so you know.05:20It keeps you to at a glance capability here in the top right, you've got the the bell icon for some of your alarms, alerts color coded. Red items need some type of investigation sooner rather than later. Yellow items are things with warnings on those. You do want to take a look at those.05:21And then in the main window, the main body of the window here, we see that we've got some of your server inventory showing again the red yellow, green color coding, like a stoplight, so at a glance, you'll be able to tell the status of your environment. If something is impacted, say with a warning or a.05:41The Alarm on it. You see it's red or yellow. You'll be able to tell by the number, you know, how many are impacted that may guide you into who you need to call in your team or where you need to start looking at to find a root cause for that.06:01You can see we've also got a HCL status here for your servers, the hardware compatibility just, that's one advantage of having the Cisco Intersight running in your background. Monitoring your servers, 2047 and gathering information on those, even about the hardware compatibility for those.06:18Next thing you can see kind of a different kind of graph, we've got a pie graph instead of the numerical icons over to the left, but in the pie graph we give you at a glance, here's the breakdown of your server inventory, and this applies to intersight. We'll we'll go through and do these similar things for your.06:40Fiber interconnects, some of your networking devices, some of your virtualization environment as well if you pursue that and get that monitored under your Cisco intersight. But going back to the example here, your server inventory, as you can see, you can get a pie graph.06:57You can get a quick total count in the center of the pie. You can get the series of servers, the C B, X series over to the right, quick at a glance, what your server inventory looks like.07:17Now again, it's got the.07:39A singular view here of your environment. That's what you want to take advantage of, whether you're running a Cisco UCSM domain or domain is inter site managed as we're focused on today. Again, the hardware compatibility list is one of the key features.07:41Your contracts, they'll also show up as well. I believe that's gonna be part of the demo. You'll be able to have a graph as you like it, we call them widgets in intersight. So you'll be able to have a widget as you like it, whether it's a bar graph.08:00High chart, those can show you the contracts status of your environment. I'm sure that's important to you. The alarms we covered, we've got the red green, yellow status lights on those for the alarms. Advisories are included in that. If you, when you left click on the bell icon at the top.08:14You'll be able to see some of those notices and the life advisories. Those are very important to you. TAC integration. So we've got a feature called connected TAC, once Intersight is monitoring the server in your environment.08:32If desired that server and automatically generate any kind of files needed, information needed in the event that you need to open a case, that information can be automatically generated.08:49Inside of a case to Cisco TAC, so they'll have a running start when you do connect with them. Proactive RMA or some hard drives or some memory modules and the list is expanding, you'll have the ability to enable an automatic RMA when those.09:04Items have faults, be able to go ahead and get a replacement coming and get the process started. And now we can go to our 1st demo here. I'm gonna turn it over to my good friend Andrew for this and let him take it away.09:25Over to you, Andrew. Alright, thank you Joe. Let me share my screen. Let me know if it comes up. All right, I see it now. All right. Good morning, everyone. My name's Andrew. I'm working with Joe here to show you the.09:44This IMM experience series sessions and I'll be showing you the inter site demo. So when you 1st log into intercite, most likely you'll be in a dashboard if it's the 1st time you log in, otherwise you will return you to the previous screen or the previous section that you will logged in. So let me go for UI real quick.10:04So at the top you see the top navigation bar and then on the right hand side.10:24You will see the alarm sections which shows under group of bell icon. So in here this is where you can see all the alarms that you have received in insight for all the devices that you have claimed in insight. So you can see you have the active alarms, you have acknowledged alarm, you have any suppressed alarm, and you have also any.10:29The alarm. So, e.g., we take a look at the active alarms so in here you will see what is the message. Here, e.g., it shows I have a target disconnected in the site and then here I see I have a server profile has moved to a pending changes state, and on the right you can see where is the code and the affected.10:49Item that is generating the alarm and also like was it a server profile, API key or whatnot, and when did it happen? E.g., if I look at here it shows that the API key has expired, you can rotate it. If the key is not required to delete it up because by default are inside.11:11When you generate API key, the default expiration is 30 days, and then when the API key expires, then it will generate the corresponding alert to tell you that, hey, this API key is NO longer valid. And also if you want to do any filtering like up here you can see the security widget, you can just click on the critical.11:29A warning or info, it will automatically create a filter for you. So now I can only I will see only critical alarms for my.11:48Environment or you can also just click and create my own filter. I can select say now I want to look at warnings so now it will only show me all the warning alarms that is in my system. And then for each of the alarm, you can choose to acknowledge the alarm or if you can.11:58If it shows the acknowledge the alarm, then it could show up under the acknowledgement session. So that's for the alarms, and then if you take a look over here, also in the upper right hand corner, the allow speaker icon, this will show you the advisories. So if I click on it.12:17It will show you all the security advisories, field notices or life advisories that is pertaining to any devices that you have claimed in in the site. And they will also show you only advisories that are will affect those devices. E.g., if I only have a B series and X series.12:35Then the advisory section in the site, they will not show me any advisories pertaining to C series because we don't have them. So let's take a look at one of the advisories. E.g., if I do click on this one, and I apologize for this.12:55Overhead here for the browser. It's just a browser issue. So it's telling me for the Cisco IMC that is XSS vulnerabilities, it will tell you the summary and then on the left hand side will show you the CVE score, when was it published and when was it updated?13:10And then down here, it will show you all the devices that is being affected by this advisory. It'll give your server name, server type, the model and the firmware. You can also choose to export this list to save it in your CSV file. And down here it will tell you what is the workaround or the solutions. So right now for.13:29This one it tells me there is NO work around the resolution is to upgrade your firmware to any version that is listed below. E.g., if I have aM5 and I'm running four two, that means I have to upgrade to four free and four free has to be this version or higher. And then if it's aM6I have to upgrade to.13:49Either four free or six zero etc.14:09And then also I can choose to acknowledge any advisories and then once they have been acknowledged, they will show up under the acknowledge advisory section. And then field notices and they are similar. E.g., if I click on this one, it.14:12That will be the end of advisories for hyperflex M six and C two for the M six and then here you give a summary, the details as well as the end of life milestone to tell you exactly like when does the end of service attachment, end of contract and last date of.14:32Device support will happen and it also tells you what devices will be affected.14:52Right, so that is the alarms and advisories and then on the left hand side, you will see the navigation tree. So it's divided into couple sections, so system and settings will be configuring how inter site works and a configuration.15:00During any.15:19Users and our configuration items that is pertain to intersight. And the operate is where you look at your hardware inventory and the configure is where you do your server profiles and templates. Analyze or you can be able to do our metrics and then automate is for our workflow automations with such as.15:21Operate OS install which we'll show later in the later part of the presentation.15:42So e.g., if we take a look at fis, Interconnect, it will show you all the fis that you have claimed in the system. It will show you the name, the contract status, management IP, et cetera. So manage like contract status because this is a lab.15:48So we don't have any contracts that is contracts that is associated with this FI, but if that is, it will show you the contract number and the last day of support, in the screen and also you click on the FI itself.16:04It'll show you the detailed screen of the FI, you'll be able to see on the left hand side as well and up here it will show you the basic information, dimension IP serial number, etc. And then the middle, it will show you the properties of the hardware. So there's a FI. So we're looking at the ports. So if you mouse over at the port.16:21What you can see like you can see the exact port number. It'll show you the status and how the port was being configured. And then also down here in the properties will show you all the details of how the FI is configured, and on the right hand side you can see the.16:41Any alarms or requests or advisories that is pertaining to this specific piece of hardware. And on the inventory, it will give you the full inventory of the hardware and show you all the relevant configurations. If it has, e.g., like down here, I can see all the port config.17:00Integrations that I have, those are being configured as a event port, if I want to look at fiber channel.17:19I can still show me all the fiber channel port being configured here as well. Show me the worldwide name, admin state and operational state, link connections, it will show you like e.g. if there's a FI, it'll show me what is being connected to this FI. I will show me all the servers and the chance.17:26These being configured.17:46And also cool thing with Intersight is that you also click on topology. So this will show you the actual view of your environment in inside connectivity device. So e.g., you can see we have our FIA and B is connected to the 6th place here, and then these are connected to the.17:47These two chassis and they also show you any uplink switches if you have claimed them in inside I can also.18:07Click on any of the items and it'll show me the utilizations for the hardware that I just clicked on and then you can also look at the links, click on it, it will show me the details of this link, like which port is being connected to and what is the.18:16Status of the channel itself and you can also change it to network utilization, then it will show you.18:36The thin link will be a 1 gb link and then 2nd line will be a 6 gb length, so you can see all the servers are connected with a one gig link and then all the uplinks from the chassis to our switches are being run as 6 gb links. Okay, let's take a look at our servers.18:44So in this table, it will show you the details of the each of the server in your environment. You can customize this view. You can come to very, very tiny gateway icon here, click on edit, now you can choose to show what is being what will be displayed in this table. So for.19:04Example like I don't care for the.19:24Management mode, I can just save it, then it will remove it from the view, depends on your screen size, you may have to scroll to the right to see all the remaining items. And you can also create your own custom tab. If I click the plus icon, you can create your own tab and then you can select.19:29Your own.19:49Items to display in the table and they were persistent to your session although this cannot be shared among users, but you will have your own cust own tab and they will be consistent and they will remember across the session, e.g., I created my own tab and I created a filter to say that show me all the servers.19:50In the AI workloads organization, so I'll just create a filter and then here it will show me all the servers.20:10That matches this filter in this particular tab that I have created. And then similarly, if I click on any of the servers, it will give me the detail view. I can see the management IP serial number, contract, etc. I can see the properties of the server in the middle.20:16If I go to inventory, I can see the inventory of all the components on the server side, I can break it down by CPU, I can break it down by memory, even by specific modules.20:36Or even show me like the serial number etc. And then you see a server profile is if this server is being managed in our inter site managed mode and it has a server profile attached to it, then it will show up in here.20:50And the HCL, HCL is a hardware compatibility list. So Cisco and his partners, we qualify our servers with different OS vendors, and then we also check the compatibility up between our different hardware components and their firmware and our software drivers, and then.21:05Will make sure that those drivers are qualified for each of the specific version of the server and OS. E.g. in here I have aM5 running seven update free.21:25And down here you can see I some of them show some validated, which means that the driver is qualified and tested by Cisco and his partners. But then here we can see we have some incompatible drivers, so it will show you like this is the current driver that is running on the system.21:38And then the driver is not being listed in HCL. So if you want to get the recommended drivers, you can go to the left hand side, click on get recommended drivers, and then here it will show you like what is the current driver on the this installed.21:54And then on the right hand side it will show you what are the recommended driver versions that Cisco NS partner recommends. If you want to grab the actual drivers, you just click on the download driver ISO, it will pop you over to the Cisco software download pages, and then from here you just need to download the I.22:12ISO image for your operating systems and then in the ISO you'll contain the folders for the different drivers for your hardware and then for and for this particular OS.22:33Right, next, let's talk about integration, so in case if you need to open a case for any of the example this one shows critical and then it shows ok I want to open a case or didn't see what's going on. All you need to do is to go to the right hand side.22:47Click on the freedom icon and click on opentech case. It'll ask you to confirm you're going to open a case for this server with this serial number. If you hit continue, it will automatically launch the Cisco case manager and then with the serial number pre populated, because this one doesn't have a valid con.23:05So I'll show to see this morning, but otherwise, if you have a valid contract for the server that you are going to open a case, you should be able to see.23:25The next screen, which is where you enter the severity of the case, the title and the description of your case. Once you have put in everything and hit submit, then you will open the support case. Another good thing is since this device is connected to inter site then the tech engineer.23:35Will be out, will be able to generate the log and download the logs automatically without any intervention from the customer. So that streamlines the support process and make processing the case easier for the customer.23:55Finally, let's talk about proactive RMA. So in inter site the system will monitor certain type of drive and memory failures, and it will keep track of the error count. And then once the error count exceeds a certain threshold, you can configure inter site to automatically create a RMA.24:12Case for you, so the hardware that is about to fail.24:32I will be dispatched to the location that you have listed in the install base and then you can replace it before the actual failure happens. How you configure this is you go to Intersight on the left hand side on the system, you go to account details.24:37And down here you will see there's a tag section. If you want to enable auto RMA, you need all you need to do is configure and then down here at the tab tags, you type in auto RMA email and then.24:54Colon and then you type in the email address. Cisco.com, you hit enter and then you go active so email you can do it by comma separated and then you hit configure. So once you have that tag enabled, that means that now when a.25:10Proactive army is being generated. It will use this email address listed here to open the cisco tag case. So you want to make sure that whatever email you put in here is listed as a valid user in your support contract.25:31Otherwise, if this email is not a valid user for the support contract, then it won't be able to open the case, and then the system will try to default to the previous user that has logged into Intersight and then use that email and that user email address of that user to open a case. For.25:47For some customers that they may not care, but for some environment they want to say, hey, I want to use one centralized email to manage all the support cases that we open, then you may want to make sure that the email address configured here is the one that you want to use.26:06Alright, that's all I want to show for this part of the demo, so I'm gonna pass it back to Joe to continue our presentation. Excellent, great. Thank you very much, Andrews. Very good demonstration.26:23I think I learned a lot from that myself. Let me get back to our slideshow here and ok, we're at our next Slido question. I'll pass it back over to our host Mark. Thanks Joe so we'll go ahead and launch our next Slido question. So what is the most challenging.26:38Part of managing your IT infrastructure today.26:58So the the poll is now live, you should see the, the questions in the Webex client or if you're logged into Slido.27:05Right, so the options are either too much manual work, lack of real time visibility, scalability, and growth or staying on top of advisories such as P certs.27:24We've got a few participants that are joining in. We'll give it just another second, but it looks like at the moment in the lead is lack of real time visibility.27:41Alright, and with that Joe, I will pass it back to you alright thanks a lot Mark.28:01Let me get back to my slides Here we go. And for now, for our audience, we're gonna take a look at the next section of today's presentation.28:17The IMM configuration features and what we see here on our screen again is another screenshot representation of an Intersight portal. This time we're looking at.28:33The policies that have been presented there, and we're gonna see that the Intersight provides a central configuration spot for your multiple IMM domains.28:50Those that IMM domain is gonna have a policy as well and it's also gonna allow you to scale further than UCS manager, UCS central.29:07Those did, you're gonna be able to have templates for your profiles, your domain profiles we talked about, as well as your chassis profiles, any of the policy.29:24Or profiles that you do create and then be cloned and reused in your environment, reducing the steps to having to manually make new policies or new profiles.29:40In your environment. And once you do make those, the configurations can be shared across different organizations. If you have multiple orgs in your environment, multi tenant, then you'll be able to have configurations in one be shared across.29:56To another. And the last one there, a few changes before deployment. That is a key feature. It'll certainly come out in our next demo when, Andrew takes a deeper dive than I can show you here, but you'll be able to see what is scheduled to change in that policy.30:15Profile etc. Before you actually hit the button to deploy it.30:35Or you actually go in to restart a device to enforce the new settings that you have there and as far as configuration features.30:41When you're operating in inter site managed mode, we're gonna have some that are available from Cisco. E.g. configurations and it's recommended I believe that you use those that are provided by Cisco Ethernet adapter would be another set.30:57Of configurations there that's recommended as well as fiber channel.31:17Configurations. And the screenshot here is showing that once you do go in and you're going to select, after you filtered appropriately going and select the actual policies that you're.31:22Targeting your your items with able to use, you'll be able to select those Cisco provided policies. Now sharing across the orgs as we spoke to before, you can tell here the the way we have this laid out. We've got our source org, so in other words, you can have.31:38Have a source organization and that can be where kind of your golden templates or your golden golden profiles can be stored.31:57All these can be drawn up from an existing org if you've got a device and it has the server set up that you want to transfer over to the rest of your servers. E.g., you'll be able to come in and and grab the profile that's currently set for that device, bring it up to your source org, make it a template.32:08A copy clone it, make it ready for redeployment.32:28And that's what we see at the bottom there, you'll take whatever you have staged in your source org. It could be a virus policy, a Mac pool policy, NTP settings, e.g., very important or even UUID settings.32:31From that. And then you can share that with one or more consumer orgs, BIOS polish policy is an example here and that's gonna be taken from the source org that we set up like we, like we wanted.32:49And we're gonna use that to go across and be deployed to our consumer org so that we gain consistency, reduce errors, save time by using policies in that manner.33:05And so the big takeaway here is that you can have a centralized place for your common configuration resources and make it easier for you to save time and standardize the way that your devices are deployed.33:29I've got a couple of URLs here that I'm going to share, one for intersight, one for a Cisco produced white paper. I'm gonna put those in our chat here, make sure everybody can see those paste.33:48And send. Please make sure you can open and view those two, let me know if you can't reply back in the chat Otherwise here it looks like we're at the point we're gonna have another exciting demo by Andrew. So at this point I'm gonna turn it over to him.34:05And take it away, Andrew. All right, thank you. Alright, so now let's talk about policies and profiles. So policies and profiles are you can see it under the configure section on the left hand side, so we can.34:24Look at profiles. So up here you can see there are different type of profiles, e.g. hyperflex profiles, UCS chassis profile, unified edge profiles, domain profiles, and server profiles. So let's take a look at our server profiles. So in here you will see there's a list of all the profiles that you have created in in the.34:44You see the name, the status, the target platform, is it a profile for FI attached servers or standalone servers, the user server template if it was created from a template, and if the template is in sync or not, what server is being assigned for this profile, and what was this last updated?35:04So e.g., like I can take a look at one of the servers.35:24So it will show you the configuration of the server itself of the profile itself and here it says those inconsistent, so that means that there are pending changes that are different than the previously deployed configuration and inter site will show you what other changes. E.g., in here it shows that my BIOS and the firmware.35:29Policy has changed or out of sync.35:48Now click on view changes to show you what other changes, e.g., like last platform default, someone changed it to enabled for latency optimized mode. If I look at the firmware, it's supposed to be custom, but now it's changed to 520.35:52Another good thing is, Intersight will tell you for any of the changes that is going to happen in this profile, does it require a reboot or not? If it requires a reboot, it will tell you explicitly in here says activation requires reboot, and it says server reboot is required to apply plus configuration.36:11So there is NO gas work to say hey if my changes do I need to reboot my server or not? Insight will check it and tell you.36:31And also when you are looking at profiles or policies, you can click on the eye icon if there is one to show you the preview of the policy of how it is being actually configured. E.g., I'm looking at the BIOS policy itself, so it shows me all the configuration items for this.36:39Particular policy.36:58Another policies that you can also like your policies and then you can also clone them if you like to like e.g. if I click on the freighter icon, and here I go to all those is grayed out, it will tell you why you cannot do it, because this profile is created from a template. So it will tell you instead of cloning your profile.37:03Now you should go to the template and use the derived option. But if there is any other profiles that is not being created by the template, I can just.37:22Click on it and clone it, so you'll be able to clone a new profile and then you can modify and assign the profile to a different server and then deploy it when you're ready to do so. So let's take a look at this one.37:33So now in here shows that we have multiple templates defined for in our environment. So if I want to clone or derive a profile for the template, what I need to do is go to the right hand side you can see the icon, says derive profiles.37:48So they'll ask me, do I want which server do I want to assign to? I'll say assign it later, and then here it will ask me, give it a name. So I'm just gonna call it using the default name.38:05Next, and then here it will show you the configuration items for this template and those will be used for the profile. So it will show me I have the policy policy, we show media policy etc. Again, I click on the preview icon to see.38:21See how the actual policy is being configured, show me the policies for the management configuration. We have IMC access and virtual KVM, storage network etc.38:41When I'm ready I click on derive. What you can see now it says like a started derived user profile request because for some of the operations in the site, it may not finish immediately, like one of the most easy example is like e.g. firmware update like.38:54Several tens of minutes or even an hour. So if you start operation in a site that does not complete immediately, you can start request and you can see under the request section, the status for different.39:13Request. E.g., this one is the one that I just started says deriverse profile from a template. I click on this one. So it will tell you the status or the details of this request, when was it started, when did it finish, who started it, what's the status, and they also break down the execution flow.39:31To show you what is actually happening during each stage of the request. E.g., it says I started request processing, check the process reset, attached at different time. And if a request has failed, it will tell you at which stage it has failed, so you can always go back and see.39:51If you need to fix something before you.40:11I'll continue. So we have created a profile of derived a profile. As you can see, this is the profile that we just derived and says it's not assigned because we have not assigned the profile to any server during the template derived.40:14And then see so during different we also mentioned that for some of the policies we have some preconfigured item for you from Cisco, like e.g. one of them is a.40:34BIOS policy, so let's take a look at that one so if you are to actually configure the BIOS policy yourself.40:52You are going to see, there is a lot of items that you need to configure. E.g. advanced, you're gonna see the latest optimized mode boot options, you've got all these items you need to check. Memory, you've got all these items you need to check, you're going here.41:09This is way too much. How do that make it easier? Good thing is, we do make it easier for you. If you see there's a box here that use Cisco prefi predefined configuration and here it says Cisco recommended predefined configuration for our servers, you check this.41:28It'll ask you like what server are you dealing with? E.g., I'm dealing with M eight, they'll ask you what CPU type are your AMD or intel? And they will ask you what workload type will this will you do you want to configure this policy from service four?41:44For analytics, it's a CPU intensive, it's energy efficient, high performance computing, virtualization. I choose this, hit next.42:04And all the items will be pre populated from the configuration and then all you need to do is to once it loads up because you got all the items you need to open up.42:15Once you've selected that, you just create, then now you create a BIOS policy that will fit cisco's recommendation for the certain type of hardware and certain type of workload. The equivalent also exists for the fiber channel and the even adapter configuration, basically you'll ask you what type of.42:30Server you're dealing with and then what type of workload you want to configure this policy for, and all that's all you need and we do recommend you to use our Cisco predefined configurations unless you have a very good reason to use otherwise so you can use it.42:50To simplify the process of creating your policies are much easier. And then the next slide I wanna talk about is sharing policies between different organizations. So as you may see, like if I could create a policy.43:08Let's say, just pick away in the policy, it'll ask you which organization that you want to put this policy under and you can only choose one. So it means that only once you have put the policy in this organization, then only the, you can only use.43:26This policy when you are in the created profile in the same organization because organization is outside of the access in a logical manner, so each organization will have their own view or silo.43:45And usually they do not cross organizations. So you've got like two organizations that say HR and then finance, you create some policies and profiles in the HR organization means that your finance organization will not be able to see all the the configurations from HR, and that means.44:02That you're gonna configure the profiles and policies twice. But we do make it easier for you by sharing by organizational sharing. So how it works is, e.g., firstly, I need to create a source organization, so let's say source.44:22Work, create 1st, and then let's say I create two destination organizations and.44:41And create destination organization two.45:01So once you've got all the organization, the source and destination layout, so what you need to do is go to the source organization, check it and click edit, and then here you want to check the boxes as shared resources with other organizations.45:08So you check this and now it will ask you which organizations want to share with. So in here I'm gonna track the two destination orgs I have selected next, save.45:24If you update the organization, you will ask you to say to delete all the associated resource memberships. This is normal, so you hit save. So now I have a source organization that will be able to share its policies and profiles created to organization one and two.45:44So let me show you how this works. So I go back to profiles.46:03Let's say I want to create a policy, let's say NTP. Now in the organizations, you can choose which organizations I want to create it from. So in here I'm gonna say source organization and then type.46:10Common NTP, Right NTP server, let's say one.one.one time zone doesn't really matter let's say about us. So I created this.46:26Policy, sometimes I haven't successfully created. Now, if I want to create a profile, so normally, if I'm going to select the organization as.46:41Destination organization and then sorry today sorry one.46:58Do assign later. So when it comes to choosing the NTP policy, I'm going to NTP, I'm gonna hit select policy. If I don't have any policies that is in my organization, which is destination organization one, then I won't be able to see anything here. That means I have to create my policies myself.47:18But because we have created a shared policy from the source organization, source organization, that means that now I can select this one.47:38And I select, and now I just attach this policy to the server profile which is not in we're using a different organization. If I go back, you can see in the general of my organization is a destination organization one, but because we have shared the profile from the source.47:47So mean that my destination will be able to use the profile.48:08Or user policy for my profile, like similarly, if I'm gonna create a different profile in the organization two, sorry just how to say this is.48:13Go to the same process, we'll assign later, go back to NTP, select policy. Similarly, I will be able to see the NTP policies that I have created and shared from the source and I can use them.48:33In my destination organizations, so that means that for all your policies instead of maintaining a.48:50Separate policy for each of your organization with organizational sharing, you can just have to maintain one set of configurations and then you can share them across as many organizations as you would like to. Alright, I hope you find this useful. This will conclude this part of the demo.48:57So I'm gonna pause it back to Joe.49:17Great, thanks a lot, Andrew. Another excellent demo. Now, from our audience, we've heard some of the slides maybe blurry, I made a couple of changes. Please let us know now how how you see that if it is back to normal.49:22For you, again, put a chat in the comments and we're at our next Slido question. So I'm gonna briefly hand it back over to Mark. Go ahead and launch our next Slido question. So the question is, what type of metrics would help you most.49:40And keeping your IT operations running smoothly. So the the question is live. Go ahead and.50:00Give it a minute for participants to answer the question.50:06Okay, let's see some votes coming in So far it looks like we're at a tie for end to end network latency and throughput as well as capacity planning and future.50:28Growth projections.50:48And then 20 % coming in at server utilization and workload efficiency. Great appreciate everyone joining in in our questions. Joe I'll pass it back to you. And folks, if you're still seeing any type of blurriness with the slides, please let us know in chat and we'll make some adjustments. Thank you.50:53Alright, thanks a lot Mark. Let me get back to my presentation here we can see my pointer.51:13And we're gonna take a look at our next slide here. We should see our day two operational features zoomed in.51:28On metrics. Explore here and it's looking at I think a fan here just for the demo purposes. We can see that Intersight keeps the top and the left portions there so you can still keep an eye on your advisories or P certs end of life notifications there.51:46And then on the left side, you can, you can use that hamburger menu menu to expand it out or.52:06Just one click away from being in any of the other sections that you might want to be in. Now the topology metrics here that we see inter site managed mode does have a new and unique feature to show the topology. With this, with this slide in the next one or two, I'm gonna try to get out of the way quick.52:13See so we can see Andrew's demo. I'm sure you want to see that. But the topology metrics with inter site managed mode will help you kind of figure out at a high level what's connected to what, what the status of the links are, and even the ability to run some of the metrics.52:33Directly from that so you can get better at a glance where the hot spots are, what's connected good, what, what should not have any issues at the moment. Now the next one down server metrics, this is.52:50Could be here, as you see us drill down into the Metrics explorer, looking at something in particular, but server metrics, if you were going through the your Cisco intersight portal, as we were before, we were looking with the with the numerical count, the red yellow green lines.53:06And also the bar chart.53:26Of our servers, it showed us breakdown either by firmware version, operating system, status et cetera. But from that point if, if you left click on any of the server names in that list, the blue ones are le are clickable, you'll be able to drill down into a server and you can access.53:28There's some server metrics there, kind of get a spark line. If you're focused in on a server you think might be having issues, you can see it there.53:48Otherwise, you can hop back out to metrics to explore and from there you'll be able to name the metric that you want to look at. You'll be able to apply your filters, you'll be able to apply your grouping there, and you'll also see.53:56Some of the other features that you can use to get the metrics you want as far as limits, sort order, time series, if you want to aggregate some of that information. And as you select those and you apply them, then the actual metric itself, the visualization.54:13Will come up here on the right. So we can see we've got a numerical visualization here and the chart count is set to chart type is set to to count excuse me, and we can see our interval here last 24 h.54:31Now that maybe changeable to seven days, it maybe changeable to last 2 h, down to 10 min intervals at least, and I'm sure Andrew will cover that in the upcoming demo. Hopefully answer all your questions about that.54:49And the next one is dashboard. So when we 1st jumped in, we were set to the dashboard here. So you see on the left side, Cisco dashboard and there's a lot of canned dashboards that appear along the tabs at the top, as far as focusing. One of them was focused on your servers, another before.55:05Focused on your fabric interconnects, another one perhaps on the powers power draw from your devices, and you'll even be able to create some.55:25Custom dashboards. Here, you'll be able this little plus sign, you'll be able to click the plus sign and add the items that you want to see, we call them widgets and inter site, you'll be able to go in and add widgets, whether you want to focus on a server.55:36And it's health status red yellow or green, or you can add a widget and look at the server and its power draw or you can come in and focus on a service contract status for all of your fabric interconnects.55:53Should be able to mix and match like that. Oh, now we've got our next demo by Andrew. I'm gonna hand it over to him and let him take it away. Alright, thank you Joel.56:08Alright, let's talk metrics, so let's head back to the dashboard. So in here, you can see there are a couple of tabs that maybe pre populated depends on your inner site environment. E.g., if you don't have any hyperflex, you may not see the Hyperflexannix tab, if you don't have any FI servers, you will not.56:28CDRFI tab, e.g.. But let's say we'll look at take a look at the power energy metrics, so we can see we can see the power consumptions for.56:45Our overall servers, like e.g. we are using like every day is one 61 kW. So the average is 1.1 mW 30 days 4.8 mW. I can refer to this widget. I can also edit this widget to show me a different time interface, e.g., if you're looking.56:56Last seven days I will look at last month and save this, so it will show me update the corresponding value.57:16That here also show you all the all servers energy consumption, the blade servers energy consumption, and the rack servers energy consumption basically is breaking down by BX and then C series, and then here you can look at the top five servers that's consuming energies, this is that so not really much that's going on.57:24You can see the path is just on light green.57:44They also look at the historical consumption for all our servers. Like you see there's a dropdown menu that means that you can now click on it and modify it. So e.g., I'm look at the last 4 h because I want to look at the last seven days, and I can also choose to break it down by per day period or.57:48Per 8 h or per 1 h e.g., I want to look at detail I want to break it down per every hour for the last seven days, and I can see we've got a whole lot of tiny blue lines but like one for each hour, and that's for the old servers and then you also got the blade servers and rack server historical consumption.58:06And the FI consumption or I'm gonna look at my FI metrics.58:26Now here you will see the top five uplink ports by utilization, e.g., like this port 01:12 is limited 3.1 gb. The average transmission is less than 1 mb. Average transmission is.58:33Very tiny, et cetera, and then you can also look at the uplink port by port channels, by utilization again similarly not much is going on because there's a lab environment. And then down here it shows you kind of errors by server ports. If there are any errors, it will show you, but good thing, we don't have anything, so.58:50I even look at the last 30 days.59:10When it pulls up, last seven days might take a little too wild you're trying to pull up the last seven days of metrics or last 30 days.59:16But if there are any errors, it will show you what yeah well too much, but when it comes up, if there are any errors, it will show you, but if there are NO errors, then it'll just give you a green checkmark tells you that hey your Lomman is looking good.59:35Yeah, maybe just a timeout issue here. I can also look at my server metrics by CPU temperature energy consumption, et cetera. You want to customize your dashboard, you can click on add widget.59:55So then here you can choose any specific type of widgets that you want to add, like e.g. like server if I check the service tab, and then here it shows me like all the servers for later widget that I can add. E.g., I can add a detail, e.g., I want to select and say not get.01:00:12This particular server and also give you a preview of what this widget will look like if I hit add, then now I just added a widget, so I'm looking at a specific server so I can keep track of what the server is doing. If something happens, e.g., it shows warning.01:00:31I can click on it, it will tell you what the warning is, it says power supply is missing. So which is why it generate the warning and now I click on the power icon that it will bounce me straight to the details page of the server. Let's go to the dashboard.01:00:51And then here it shows me what's top five servers by average CPU temperature and then our top five servers by average in the temperature in here. So you may think like hey I look at my head widget, I look at all the widgets that is here by saying hey they are they all look good, but I want to create my own.01:01:10You can do that?01:01:30If you click on the create new metric widget, so it will bounce you to the explorer section over here under analyze. So then here you can create your own widget. So 1st you're gonna choose is to choose what metrics that you want to measure Intersight allows you to measure various.01:01:32This type of metrics from physical processor, electric current GPU or e.g. like it's now like.01:01:52Oh, as a new big thing, so we want to keep track of how your GPU is performing by clock speed, receiving, power consumptions, et cetera. So now we've added this option to look at your GPUs. I can look at my memory, my network interface, power supply, temperature, etc. We also e.g.01:02:00Look at something simple, let's say look at CPU utilization, I want to look at my average. So I click processor CPU utilization, I do.01:02:20Average, now it shows me all the CPU sessions for my entire environment, but I want to filter it down. So let's say I want to break it down by domain, say equals I'm FI one. So now it's gonna show me the CPU utilizations for all the services.01:02:301st in the IMMFR one domain.01:02:50Values like this chart doesn't really show me anything because we haven't grouped by anything yet. So let's say you are grouped by host name. Now it's going to break it down by the top five host name, bring it down by top five hosts based on the average CPU utilization.01:02:53And then here I can splay if I want to display as a line chart.01:03:13For the bar chart, I want to look at the time info, let's say I wanna look at the last 4 h and then break it down every 1 min. Oh, let's do a ten goes.01:03:18So now I can have I now have a chart that tells me the top five CPU based on the top five servers, based on the average CPU utilization, I break it down from.01:03:36Every 4 h and bring it down by every 10 min interval, and then if I put my mouse over it shows me the At this time period like what servers are using the.01:03:53And here on the display options, you can customize the y axis like the left and the right y axis. If I want to show up as a linear scale or we'll use it as a lock scale, if you want to, you can also specify a minimum and a maximum value to.01:04:13Customize how the chart going to look like. So I have my average CPU utilization, but let's say how to look at my max CPU utilization and how to do that. Two ways, you can just click on add metric. It's just going to pull up another dialogue that you just need to fill out.01:04:29Well, there's a slightly easier way if you are looking at a similar type of metrics, I can click on the clone metric icon. So now it just cloned all the items that I have populated in the previous dialogue but now how I just need to change from.01:04:47Average to say I want to look at maximum now.01:05:07So now it's going to show me all in one shot the average of five average CPU utilization and the top five maximum CPU utilization. So here if i've moved the house over here it shows me the details.01:05:12Of the average CPU and the maximum CPU utilizations from my environment. Again I can also change it to let's say I want to look at the last hour and then break it down by every 1 min. So now I have a chart looks like this back to ten.01:05:30So now I have my widget created with all the metrics that I have selected. So now I want to save this so I can go back to it later, I can click on save and then give it a name. So let's say CPU.01:05:49And I just save the explorations so when I whenever I want to look at this hypermetric, I just go back to the Explorer and then go to view explorations and then select the.01:06:05Exploration that I've just created. You can also have an option when I click on edit. I can choose to save it as a, add the dashboard, I click on add to dashboard. So it will ask you which dashboard you want to add it to. E.g., I want to add it to the server metrics.01:06:23And as I go to my dashboard after adding new widget, so if I check this box and I hit add, it will bounce me to the server metrics. So now as you see, now we have just added this widget that we created earlier.01:06:43And then here I can also change the filtering to let's say look at the last 4 h instead of the last 1 h, and I can also go to this and choose.01:06:59Just to view metric and explorer. Sorry for.01:07:19This window blocking it. Now we can go back to this analyzed explorer, the metric viewer to look at how this chart is being configured, and then I can also change it to let's say if I look if I look at top five, I want to look at top three instead.01:07:22And you can save just save as this widget or choose to save it as another widget as well.01:07:43And then like I mentioned before, I can click on view explorations to look at all the other screen to get rid of all the pop up windows, all the windows pop up.01:07:52I can look at the explorations that other users have created as well. E.g., I look at, hey, this one looks interesting, network utilization, transmission and receiving. So now here I can see someone has created, this metric explorer, look at the network utilization, maximum receive and transmit.01:08:09And it specified this domain name, so let's say hey I want to look at my own domain. So one.01:08:29Change it here, say domain name equals five one same thing we want to change it to domain name equals FI one.01:08:42So now instead of looking at the domain, the previous one, now I'm looking at my own domain, I'm 51I can specify as a line chart, look at last 4 h and break it down by every minute. So now I have a chart that shows me that we.01:08:57And the transmit maximum for this particular domain. So then I can say at the dashboard can add to my.01:09:17FI metrics, add, so now you can see now I have added a new widget in my new dashboard. And then also you can create your own dashboard you click on the plus icon.01:09:26And then here you just select all the widgets that you want to add in here and say widget. So now you can create your own dashboard. Although right now each dashboard you create will be just for your own account or your own user, you can't share a dashboard yet.01:09:43It will be a upcoming is official request that should be implemented in the upcoming release of inter site soon.01:10:03Alright, let's see what else I'm gonna cover. Nope, that's all we need to cover with this part of the demo, so I'm gonna pass it back to Joe. Thank you very much, Andrew. For our audience here, we're gonna take a quick.01:10:13Intermission between demos and I'm going to show you, another picture here with some of the advanced features. We told you we covered those for inter site managed mode. And in our screenshot here, we're taking a look at what's possible.01:10:28In in the context menu, whether you said the ellipse to the right of a device or a server or depending on where you're drilled down to, could be the action button up at the top. But in any event you should see that context menu.01:10:48And it's showing you some of the options there that you're able to take advantage of as far as whether it's something to do with the power, the system you're looking at, profile, here's where you, where you would launch your KVM.01:11:04Even a tunneled one, and if it's a server maybe going in for maintenance mode, you can suppress the alarms coming up for it. Or if it's the server that's offline and you need to troubleshoot it, you can open a TAC case directly from that context menu.01:11:20For it. Now the main part of this too, is to show you that with some of the advanced features of inter site managed mode, the server installation piece there will be able to take advantage of multi server operating system installation.01:11:35That includes provisioning bare metal servers for that, and VMware wise, I know a lot of you folks might be running VMware and interested in this with the VMware menu, we see that.01:11:53Within Intersight, we're able to deploy a vSphere cluster as needed, and we're also able to deploy VCF clusters as well. Here you see menu options for management as well as workload.01:12:07We hope those advanced features, there's something you can take advantage of in your environment. Hopefully that generates some ideas. I'm sure the upcoming demo with Andrew is gonna generate even more thoughts around the subject. And with that being said, we're going to get back to Andrew and I'll turn the ball over to you, Andrew.01:12:25Alright, thank you Joe. All right, let's now talk about operating system installation. So you can initiate OS install from inside if you want to. So we look at our servers.01:12:46You can click on like e.g., the three.icon and then say install OS. Although this is grayed out, but if you put your mouse over it, it will tell you why you cannot install the OS. Like e.g., this one is as you need to have an IMC and the line connectivity policy configured in this profile for.01:13:02Need to install the OS so we know now what item is missing so we can fix it if we need to or we do this one.01:13:22It tells you you don't have a server profile, so you cannot start because with our server profile, that means that nothing is configured, NO network, NO storage, et cetera, so obviously it cannot happen without that being configured. So Intersight is trying to be helpful and it will.01:13:31Tells you, if you can do it or not, if not, it will tell you why you cannot do it. So now let's pick the server that we can actually install OS on. I'm this one. So now this one we can install OS. So I click on install OS.01:13:49You'll ask you which servers you want to install the OS, you can just choose multiple if you want to, Right now I'm just gonna leave as one another what OS you want to install. Hey, where does all this comes from? So this is a feature called software.01:14:06The repository you configure in intersight. So on the left hand side of the system, if I click on software repository, you can create a link. So basically it asks you like where do you in your environment, do you have your images hosted, be it a OS image or be it a Cisco.01:14:26Firmware image or SEO image. It can be on NFS export or share or HTTP or HTTPS repository. So if it's like difficult to specify where your file is and it requests authentication, what's the username and password?01:14:46Etc. If it's a way it is, how do you mount it, same thing for NFS, et cetera. Once you have all these, once you have added that you will be able to see any OS images or your firmware images that you have listed in here. E.g., in here we have configured.01:15:04Couple Ubuntu, Suz and Windows images, and these are all our repositories in here. So now if we go back to the server, there's not the OS installed again.01:15:22Next, let's say if I choose windows, it will ask you like what flavor of Windows you want to install is a standard standard core or data center data center core?01:15:42If I choose Ubuntu, then it will just go straight to it because there's NO specific configuration needed. And then now here you can choose, you can configure how the OS is being set up, so you can fill out manually. E.g., I put in my.01:15:58Network configuration is a static IP or DXCP, or you can do custom. So if I do custom, that means I have to specify a configuration file or current configuration file, you can choose to see if there is a config file that is on your software repository already or you can choose it to upload from your local.01:16:14Machine.01:16:34Or you can also choose embedded, like e.g. if it's Windows image and you've got a syspect file on your image, then you can just use embedded and then join the OS install inter site will just read the syspect file on your image and then install the OS. So let's say e.g. like I want to choose the repository.01:16:35Configure the file, save that.01:16:55And that also tells you if there is any mismatch or custom parameters you will show up in here. And then the next section will ask you if you have any server configuration utility. So our server configure utility is just a utility from Cisco that helps you manage streamline the OS install easier.01:16:59If you want to understand what it actually does, you can click on this link to add to the help center it will tell you what it is. So let's say I selected my skew image.01:17:20And then here you finally ask you to choose where you want to install the OS on, do you want to do the front end VME, so that the drive one or drive two or you want to install under the M two drive or you want to do it install the M two drive or you want to do isgasy or fiber channel if it is configured on the.01:17:30So our profile with the fiber channel ask us connectivity, then you'll be able to see it.01:17:50So let's say I want to install the M two drive, and then finally it will ask you to confirm all the options. I want to install this Ubuntu image, this is the configuration utility and this is the configuration file I'm gonna use. I'm gonna install it on this server. And then once you hit install it will start the.01:17:55OS install request and then you'll be able to track it under the request section in in the site.01:18:15In finally I wanna talk about one more item is if I want to configure VMware, so if you see the VMware section, you can choose to deploy a vSphere cluster or choose to deploy a management cluster or cluster. So let's say I want to deploy a vsphere cluster.01:18:24So where do you want to install it in the organizations? Let's say one. So I will ask you where is the profile for your cluster, you wanna create new, then you just fill out all.01:18:42All the items here, if I choose to select existing, then you can select a server profile template that you define in the site, e.g., let's say I'm gonna select this one.01:19:01And then you're gonna choose which server you want to install to. I'm install it on this one, and the OS image, you'll also select where is your image. So this is the one that we have in our server repository.01:19:15Select a skew image, same thing, and hit next and then here it will ask you how to configure your vSphere cluster, you're gonna put your password DNS IDP, et cetera, etc. And then once you have selected everything, then you hit execute.01:19:31Then now in the site will start the workflow to install vSphere. So you may ask where does this workflow come from? The answer is if you go to automate under workflows.01:19:49So this is where the workflow comes from. That includes our vSphere install and the OS install in here. So aim like this window a little bit? So right here you can see they have multiple workflows defined, like if you see a system defined as yes, that means that this is the workflow comes from Cisco.01:20:06You can also create your own workflow as well. E.g., if we take a look at the.01:20:26So virtualization this one that we sphere across the deployment.01:20:37So now I'm in a workflow designer, so now you'll see that is this flowchart from the start to finish. Let me zoom out a little bit. And now if I click on each of the stage you can see like now is a validated workflow general, then you can see all the input that.01:20:55That they asked for you, e.g., a deployment type, server USSI host name, et cetera. So that all came from the web flow.01:21:15And then in the output, they're gonna show you the validation error and any variables that it requires. So this is all the items that it will gonna ask when you select the install vSphere in the server section, so you can fill out each of them manually or you have a pre configured config file.01:21:23Now they put them in, then it will fill out all the inputs in here and then here for the next step, I'm gonna run the loop to check for each of the server assignment, and then you can see this is what the.01:21:43Input and output it requires and cluster for each ESXi host, install the ESXi hosts and you can see all the relevant inputs, OS image, SEO image, with password DNS, et cetera, and then finally success or fail.01:21:56So this is how inter site automates all the workflow for install to install in here. So you can look use a workflow for the orchestrator to take a look at how intersight.01:22:15Is doing all the operations here e.g. you're gonna map the workflow input to a different task from the output or from different tasks to the workflow, to the output of the workflow or even show you the code, you want to take a look at it in the JSON format.01:22:31And then here you can, if you have multiple versions of the workflow, you can take a look here as well. So this is how to use automation and orchestration and insight to automate any process that you want to, and we will cover it in.01:22:49A future experience session. We do have one test for inter site workflow orchestration. We recommend you to take a look at it now when we have it ready during our next quarters. And I think that's all we have for our demos, so I'm gonna pass it back to Joe.01:23:09All right, appreciate that. Andrew. Wonderful demos today. And for our audience here, I'm going to quickly wrap things up before I turn it back over and we're looking at the key points that you want to take away from today and remember, the 1st one connected tack, we did cover that.01:23:28It's gonna help you streamline your support interactions with Cisco tech.01:23:48Should help you save time as far as gathering information. Just make sure your account email is correct as Andrew pointed out in the demo. Next, we wanna make sure that you understand that IMM is gonna provide some predefined best practice policies.01:23:54And those are certainly recommended that you use those. Metrics Explorer we covered that can provide some customized insights to you and even allow you to add the information that you gleaned there. Don't forget, Andrew showed you how to add it to a dashboard or.01:24:12Or even make it a custom dashboard.01:24:32Where you can accumulate your, your metrics or your environment, give you better at a glance of how things are going. Lastly, keep in mind that the workflows are gonna accelerate your deployments. This should help you save time. Andrew did a great job going through those at the very end. They'll let you multiply your team's manpower as well, being able to.01:24:35To do more that way.01:24:55With that being said, I'm going to turn it back over to our host and let him take it from here. Over to you Mark. Hey, thanks Joe and thanks Andrew. Great session today. Great demos. If anyone has any questions, feel free to drop questions in the Q and A chat, and we have.01:25:00People on standby that will follow up for for any questions you might have regarding today's topics.01:25:20We've also launched our Slido survey, so if you could just take a quick minute to let us know how we did today, what do you liked about the presentation, if there's any improvements we can make or even if you have ideas for future expert insight series sessions that you will.01:25:30Like us to cover, you can leave your recommendations within the survey as well.01:25:48Here you can also scan the QR code for a number of upcoming inter site EIS sessions that will range into additional topics covering IMM configuration policy and profile best practices.01:25:57IMM transition tools which are looking to make the transition from UCSM to Intersight managed mode, a session on all of the new features that have just recently been announced for Intersight, a session on integrating Splunk with intersight. And then we'll also have a last session for.01:26:13Quick recap and live Q and A We'll, we'll go over some of the highlights of all of the sessions in the series and you can also bring any questions you have to that session and we'll have a a round table and a Q and A session based on all of the sessions we've had in the series.01:26:33I'll go ahead and also drop the link in chat, for these inter site registration so that way you can bookmark that and and sign up for those as well. We'd also like to cover one more topic before.01:26:51Where we end today's session and we'd like to take a minute to talk about Cisco IQ. If you attended Cisco Live or if you've been looking at the news that came out from Cisco Live, you see that Cisco IQ was one of the major announcements that came out. So we just wanna take a second to talk about what is.01:27:11Cisco IQ the value and even how you can get started with it. So we'll 1st answer the question, what is Cisco IQ? So Cisco IQ is a digital intelligence platform that leverages anonymized global data that can provide you with personalized insights and benchmarks that are tailored to your specific.01:27:31IT environment. It allows you to measure your current technology maturity against industry standards, helping you to identify exactly where you need to set the focus for optimization efforts. So by transforming complex data into clear actionable recommendations, Cisco IQ can empower your teams to.01:27:51To make data driven decisions that accelerate digital transformation goals.01:28:11So if we were to sum this up in in four points that show value, it would start with completing the landscape clarity. We know that managing modern infrastructure can feel like solving a 10000 piece of puzzle, but maybe you don't have the box cover.01:28:16So Cisco IQ can help to eliminate these blind spots and provide a single view for all of your IT assets. It also brings proactive resilience, so that way you can use Cisco IQ to be able to identify unpatched vulnerabilities or maybe misconfigurations.01:28:33So that they don't go unnoticed.01:28:53It also replies, includes rapid resolution, so maybe if you have a step one incident, you can track all of your TAC cases directly from Cisco IQ that allows your teams to view all of your TAC cases from one place. And it also provides contextualized professional services. Oftentimes.01:28:55Complex deployments can stall due to a lack of, not due to a lack of talent but because of critical knowledge that can be siloed across teams. So Cisco IQ, it brings over 40 years of institutional expertise to your projects ensuring that they get the right.01:29:15The 1st time and and every time from there. So there's a lot of value that you can get from Cisco IQ and now we'll quickly cover how, how you can get started and onboarded to Cisco IQ. If you're an existing CX cloud customer.01:29:33You have the option to migrate your data automatically over to Cisco IQ. But just keep in mind that only CX Cloud admins can migrate existing CX cloud accounts to Cisco IQ. So you'll log into Cisco IQ into your CCO information.01:29:49Then you'll name the Cisco IQ account and then select the CX cloud account you want to migrate. You'll click to create the account and let the migrate data happen in the background, and then once the migration is complete, you'll then be directed to Cisco IQ onto the launchpad and there you can start exploring from there.01:30:06If you're a new customer, you can go to Cisco IQ and then enter your CCO information, create a new Cisco IQ account with your company name, and then you can select the primary storage region and then select create your account. And then you'll be directed.01:30:28To the new Cisco IQ launchpad. And then from there you can start to explore Cisco's iq's features and applications including connecting your Cisco cloud products, adding service contracts, setting up a Cisco IQ link that can pull information from on prem devices, manage users, and then start.01:30:48To explore Cisco IQ.01:31:08We'll also drop one more link in the chat here that has some frequently asked questions or if you like additional information around Cisco IQ, you can also leave a comment in our survey, let us know a follow up email, and then we can have someone follow up and provide you with more information about Cisco i.01:31:11Thank you. So we'd like to thank you for joining today's EIS session, inter site managed mode, E functionalities and new features. Hope to see you on the next session. Thank you. Have a great day.01:31:31
