Transcript

Welcome to our presentation on Cisco Secure Access, focusing on remote browser isolation. Today, we will focus into how Cisco's innovative approach secures web browsing by shifting activity from users, devices to a cloud based environment. Let's explore how remote browser.00:04Installation or RBI enhances security capabilities against modern threats.00:20Here is the agenda for today's discussion. We will begin with an overview of remote browser isolation, explaining its core functionalities and benefits. Following this, I will demonstrate its application through a live demo. Remote browser isolation or RBI is an advanced security feature that creates a secure, cloud based browser.00:26Environment. This ensures that any potentially harmful content is executed in the cloud rather than on users endpoints, protecting against malware, phishing, and data exfiltration. RBI is governed by internet access rules within secure access policies. When a particular rule is activated, browsing sessions are seamlessly redirected to a secure, cloud host.00:47The browser. With RBI, the users enjoy secure access to web destinations that may otherwise have been blocked maintaining productivity without compromising security while administrators can maintain visibility and control over isolated sessions with comprehensive logging for monitoring and auditing purposes.01:06Now, let's move into the demonstration to see how these policies are configured and how the isolation experience looks for the end user. Let's start by navigating to Cisco Secure Access. Go to secure an access policy. In the access policy settings, add a new internet access rule.01:25In the policy settings, add the name of the policy, then select the isolate option under specify access. Once the isolate option has been selected, you can choose the source of the traffic and the destinations you would like to isolate for those users. We have two options. We can use threat categories, which will isolate web traffic based on the threat.01:46The category of the destination.02:06You can also choose a specific destination. In this example, we will use the destination option and choose the generative AI application. Finally, complete the policy settings for this rule and click save. You can verify isolation by checking for a Cisco logo in the bottom right hand corner of the browser.02:09When isolation is successful.02:29Additionally, you can verify that traffic is correctly matched to the intended policy and successfully isolated by reviewing the logs and secure access. Thank you for watching.02:33

See how Cisco Secure Access uses Cisco Remote Browser Isolation to execute web content in a cloud-based browser, stopping malware, phishing, and data exfiltration without blocking work. The recording walks through creating policy-driven Internet Access rules, selecting Isolate under Specify Access, and isolating by Threat Categories or specific destinations like generative AI apps. It also shows the end-user Cisco indicator and how to confirm policy matches in logs.

  • Configure and activate an Internet Access rule for isolation.
  • Choose between Threat Categories and specific destinations.
  • Verify isolation with the in-browser Cisco badge and logs.
