Welcome to our presentation on Cisco Secure Access DNS defense. Cisco Secure Client Umbrella Roaming Security. Today, we will explore how cisco's advanced security solutions protect user devices across various networks and locations. Our focus will be on DNS.00:04Layer security and the innovative features of cisco's secure client ensuring comprehensive protection for your enterprise.00:20Let's begin by outlining our agenda for this session. We will start with an overview of the Cisco Secure Client umbrella roaming security features. Next, we will discuss the numerous benefits this solution provides. Finally, I will guide you through a demonstration to showcase its practical applications.00:28The umbrella roaming security is an integral part of cisco's secure client that provides robust security for user devices on any network. It ensures internet resources are protected via Cisco Secure Access DNS layer security. This solution facilitates policy based protection through DNS defense, allowing enforcement of security measures regardless of the user's location or.00:45The network connection.01:05Now, let's take a closer look at the key benefits of umbrella roaming security. This solution protects devices even when they are not connected to a full tunnel VPN ensuring continuous security regardless of location. It enhances visibility and control by delivering detailed computer level insights into DNS traffic. In addition, Umbrella roaming security supports.01:08To user and group based identity policies along with user and private LAN IP reporting, enabling more precise and effective security enforcement.01:28We will now proceed to the demonstration segment of our presentation. This demo will demonstrate how to manually install the Cisco secure client with the Umbrella security module. 1st, we need to download the Cisco Secure Client. To do this, go to connect, then end user connectivity.01:38And select the Cisco Secure Client download option. From there, choose the version that matches your operating system. Once the client has been downloaded, go ahead and download the orginfo.JSON profile from your secure access DNS defense dashboard. This profile contains the information the computer needs to connect to your dashboard.01:57Next, install the Cisco Secure Client. Run the installer file, either the EXE on Windows or the DMG on Mac OS. During installation, select Umbrella from the list of available modules. If you select only the umbrella module, the VPN functionality will be disabled in the user interface.02:19However, the core VPN service will still be installed since umbrella relies on some of its underlying components. If you uncheck the core and anyconnect VPN option, the VPN will be hidden from the graphical user interface. The VPN service will continue running in the background, but it won't be visible to the user. We also strongly recommend selecting the diagnostics and.02:37Reporting tool, as it provides valuable troubleshooting capabilities.02:57Once you have selected the modules finish the installation steps. After Cisco Secure Client is installed, the next step is to install the Umbrella profile. Take the org info.json file you downloaded earlier and copy it into the following directory. Program data, Cisco, Cisco Secure Client umbrella.03:00This step ensures that the umbrella is active and functional, providing the necessary protection and reporting capabilities. Once that's complete, Umbrella will be active on the computer to confirm the device successfully registered in your dashboard, go to resources and roaming devices.03:20This section lists all roaming devices connected to your network. You should now see your computer successfully registered. Here, the interface displays the status of important parameters such as the DNS protection status, which is shown as protected and encrypted for this particular device. This indicates that DNS security measures are actively in place, safeguarding against potential.03:38Threats. Thank you for watching this video.03:58
