Transcript

In this video, we will add service contracts to Cisco IQ. Starting at the Cisco IQ system settings page, we select service contracts. Here you have the option to select an initial hardware contract to add to your account. Contracts that appear here can be reviewed or added in access management or you can open a support.00:02Case for further assistance. Select a contract from the list and click add Contract and continue. Note that adding this 1st contract means only contracts from the same organization can be added to this account going forward. Click add Contract and continue again to proceed to the next step.00:22We are notified that the contract has been added and the time required to update the inventory. Here you see that there are additional hardware contracts associated with the same organization as the one we just added to this Cisco IQ account. We can add contracts from this list by selecting them and then clicking add contracts.00:41Once this process is finished, we are presented with a list of all the contracts we added in the previous steps. There is an option to add more at any time by selecting add contracts, which takes us to the familiar list of available options. We will go ahead and add an additional contract after which we are taken back to the service contracts list.00:59A few caveats that you need to be aware of when adding service contracts into Cisco IQ. The user logged into Cisco IQ needs to have an association with that contract. If you are not associated with a contract and you try adding it, you will get an error and need to talk to the administrator of that contract. They will have to add your cco ID to it before.01:19Or you can add it to Cisco IQ.01:39Also, for US federal government customers, you can add your service contracts here. We have included an additional consent acknowledgement to proceed with this process. Currently, Cisco IQ is a cloud SaaS instance, and we want to make sure that you're not unknowingly adding unauthorized devices to public cloud platforms. If you are allowed to take your information.01:41And devices and onboard them into a public cloud instance, you can acknowledge your consent and select add contract and continue here.02:01You can then continue with the other service contracts that you have available from your list. If you aren't sure of all the contracts that are linked to your account and you need a reference, you can go to the Cisco Commerce Workspace Renewals tool. There, you'll be able to use it to interact with and see your other contract numbers to facilitate adding them into Cisco IQ.02:10Too.02:30
