In the next few videos, we will go into detail about the software upgrade workflow within the resilient infrastructure playbook. The 1st step is plan.00:05From the Cisco IQ homepage, navigate to the resilient infrastructure playbook on the left. 1st, we need to identify a specific device where the playbook recommends an upgrade. Under step two, select view upgradable assets. From the list of upgradable assets, which we cover in more detail in a previous video in this list.00:15Series, we select the review button for a specific device we wish to remediate.00:35This takes us to the upgrade workflow. We'll start with step one, the planning stage. This phase of the workflow is all about preparing the maintenance window where we will apply the software upgrade to this device. There are two steps to complete here.00:40The 1st step shows the 1st software version that has a fix for this issue. For this device, it recommends the minimum version that should be used on this platform for this security advisory. There is also a link to the advisory. Below that, the relevant information is displayed, and you are asked to confirm that this version is acceptable.00:56And that you want to run it on this device. Select the box to confirm before moving on. In step two, you will request approval to schedule a maintenance window through your enterprise. Any relevant stakeholders that need to be in that approval chain should understand the change that you're making and when you plan on making it.01:16After you've ensured you've had the necessary conversations with stakeholders or whoever else may need to be involved, select the box to confirm this has been done. After all steps have been confirmed, the blue next button will become active, allowing you to proceed to the next stage of the process.01:35The next stage after plan is technical preparation, which we will cover in another video in this series.
