Another highly anticipated feature in this release is the availability of customer facing APIs. The API documentation can be accessed on the main screen near the bottom.00:08This release adds beta access to REST APIs for both assets and assessments, allowing for deeper integration with your workflows. By navigating to the API reference, you can quickly identify available endpoints and see exactly how to format your requests.00:19Everything you need to configure your access, including authentication and authorization, is detailed in the Getting started section. You need to set up an API key in Cisco IQ in order for this to work, so let's see how that's done.00:37Back at Cisco iq's homepage, the API key is set in our user profile, so if we go to the upper right hand corner and we go to user settings, we can click generate token. And then we can put in a description.00:52Then it'll generate a token which you can copy and go use. Thanks for watching.01:10
