In the July release of Cisco IQ, we've added a few enhancements to the assessments module as well as three new assessment types. From the home screen, click the top menu and access the assess.00:08Assessments module. In the assessments module, we've added contextual rationale for inconclusive exposure. Let's select security advisories, then select a rule evaluation, followed by one of the devices in the list shown. The assessment verifies software, release, and feature configurations.00:20When information gaps prevent a definitive affected status, devices are now labeled potentially affected, providing users with the necessary transparency to understand why an assessment couldn't be confirmed. Drilling into results provides specific reasons for a potentially affected status, such as needing to change the default password.00:38If other issues occur, they are detailed in the evidence section. This contextual rationale is now integrated across both security advisories and configuration assessments. The 1st of three new assessments we'll cover is the quantum readiness assessment.00:57Click quantum readiness. Quantum computing threatens modern cryptography as future advances could render current algorithms vulnerable. Since attackers are already capturing encrypted traffic for later decryption, proactively managing quantum risk is critical.01:13The quantum safe infrastructure assessment offers a framework to evaluate and mitigate these emerging threats today. Note that for the release notes found by clicking the top help menu, quantum safe infrastructure assessments are supported on iOS XE, excluding ASR 1000 and ISR 4000 series.01:28IOSXR, NXOS, ACI, FTD, and ASA platforms. We currently offer eight distinct assessment criteria, each with detailed documentation available for your review. You can drill down into each rule as needed by clicking the rule name. Assessment rules evaluate assets.01:47To determine compliance.02:07The summary highlights devices failing specific criteria, and the findings provide actionable guidance to resolve these issues. Diving into specific quantum safe assessment results by clicking the name identifies why certain devices fail. Other devices may pass because future software updates will introduce the support.02:08These insights allow for an effective evaluation of your environment's post quantum resilience. Thanks for watching.02:29
