Now let's look at an additional capability we've added to the configuration assessment. Starting from the home page, we select assessments.00:08Taking us to the assessments overview page. From here, we select configuration, which brings up the configuration assessment. We've extended support to devices managed by Catalyst Center. By pulling telemetry and configuration data directly from the controller.00:17We provide consistent visibility into your managed assets. Let's look at a specific device in our inventory. In another browser tab, we start at the Cisco IQ homepage. 1st, we select the assets module and then select inventory.00:33In this example, we'll search for a catalyst 9300 series switch, which is pulled from the inventory via Catalyst Center. This allows it to be included in our latest assessment cycles seamlessly, ensuring that the security and configuration compliance checks remain accurate across our infrastructure.00:50We select our previous browser tab to switch back to the configuration assessment page we opened earlier. Now within the assessment suite, we can apply specific best practice rules to these managed devices. For instance, in this example, we'll test against the VTY remote access ACL rule.01:09We search for the rule, and select it. This rule checks whether remote terminal access lines that allow command sessions are protected with an inbound access control rule. The system then validates whether the configuration for our devices meets security standards.01:29Let's search for our example device. In this case, the device we were looking at earlier failed this rule check. If we drill down into it, we can see details about this result. This provides clear actionable feedback demonstrating that you can pinpoint non compliant configurations on managed devices with the.01:46Same ease as your other network assets.02:06We click on configuration assessment to return to the assessment's main page. This new integration allows you to apply our library of over 1000 configuration best practice rules to your catalyst center managed environment. By extending these assessments, we ensure your compliance posture remains robust across your entire.02:08Your network regardless of the management modality.
