As of 14 August 2026, Cisco CX Cloud has reached end of availability EOA, which means telemetry data is NO.00:10Longer accessible through the CX cloud platform.00:20To ensure continuous access to telemetry data, especially from devices not managed by controllers, you can use Cisco IQ Link. IQ LiNK connects your SaaS IQ instance to your on premise catalyst center and collects telemetry data directly from supported devices.00:23In this video, you'll learn how IQ LiNK supports this transition and explore the latest features available in version 1.2 .2. Let's look at some new features we've added to IQ Link. When you log into IQ LiNK, the What's New notification highlights the latest features.00:41As of 11 August 2026, the latest version is IQ link 1.2 .2. Let's take a closer look at what's new. 1st, you'll want to define your credentials. Select add credentials and then select enter manually.00:59From here, you can specify SNMP version two or three and your SSH credentials. Enter your username and password, then assign credentials to the subnet range and start the scan. IQ LiNK also supports network scanning.01:17Through Cisco Discovery Protocol CDP, and link layer Discovery Protocol, LLDP.01:37You can select either protocol or both. Then enter a seat address. This is the device IQ link will connect to through SSH to identify its CDP and LLDP neighbors. E.g., if you know one device on your network, enter its IP address. E.g. 192.01:44Dot zero.two.99 and then specify the hop count.02:04The hop count determines how many network adjacencies IQ link explores to discover additional devices, preventing the scan from traversing too far into the network, a hop count of two is recommended. You can run additional scans from newly discovered devices if needed.02:09You can also specify the scan frequency, typically weekly. Select network scan, you can now see the CDP/LLDP scan scheduled weekly as defined. This helps discover devices not in your inventory or CMDB list.02:25If you have a large list of IP subnet or seed device lists to scan, use file upload. Download the CSV template to specify IP ranges for scanning as well as a list of seed devices for CDP or LLDP discovery.02:43Next, select system settings and then select connection management page. One highly anticipated feature is the ability to discover devices through network scanning. Select the plus sign next to network scan. You now have a couple of ways to scan the network and add devices.02:59The 1st is a subnet range scan. E.g., you want to add devices to the headquarters data center. You don't have a list of all the devices, but you know the subnet they're on. Enter the starting and ending IP address for the subnet range. E.g., we'll start with 192.0.2.10.03:18Zero zero and end with 192.0.2.254. Next, choose the frequency you want the scan to run.03:38Let's say you want it to run daily at a specific time. Select Connect assets, and then select network scan. You can see the new network scan across the specified subnet range with the last network scan status set to accepted. Once the scan runs, the status will transition to succeeded.03:48After the scan, the discovered assets will appear in your inventory. In this example, a subsequent scan found these three devices. They weren't entered manually. Instead, they were automatically discovered by scanning the IP range. We've also added enhancements for identities. IQ Link now supports Microsoft.04:07Intra IDP for single sign on. If you're using Microsoft Intra for user authentication, you can add it as an identity provider.04:27Select system configuration, identity providers, then select Add Identity Provider. Local user onboarding has also been improved. Under local identity and access, when adding a local user, you can send an email invite with an activation code.04:35The user sets their password during registration, eliminating the need for a temporary password. IQ link also supports password resets for local users. If a user forgets their password, they can request a reset and use an email link to answer security questions and create a new password.04:54Configure security questions by selecting your profile in the upper left corner. We've also added the ability to create a configurable login banner inside Cisco IQ. On login, users must accept the banner before entering credentials.05:13This supports compliance and security during this transition period. To configure the banner, select system configuration, banners, and then select edit. After making your edits, select save.05:28For detailed guidance on migrating your data from CX Cloud to Cisco IQ Link, please visit the Cisco community page dedicated to this migration. There, you'll find step by step instructions, helpful tips, and support from Cisco experts and the user community.05:48Thanks for watching.06:07

Cisco IQ Link maintains telemetry after Cisco CX Cloud EOA by connecting a SaaS Cisco IQ instance to Cisco Catalyst Center and supported devices. The recording highlights version 1.2.2: credential setup for SNMP version two or three and SSH, subnet and seed discovery via CDP or LLDP with hop limits, scheduled scans and CSV imports, Microsoft Intra IDP SSO, improved local onboarding, and configurable login banners.

  • Configure credentials, scanning, and discovery to sustain telemetry.
  • Integrate Microsoft Intra IDP SSO and streamline onboarding.
  • Schedule scans, use CSV imports, and enforce login banners.
