Greetings everyone. Thank you for your interest in learning about AI defense. Today we will cover the different deployment methods available. In this video, we will cover both the SaaS and hybrid deployment methods.00:05The differences in the architecture for both options will be explored, as will the attributes for each option. Lastly, we briefly touch on the private connector. With this information, you will be enabled to choose the best deployment option for your AI defense use case.00:19In this next section, we will introduce the SaaS and hybrid deployments. The image featured here is a visualization of the architectural map of a SaaS deployment. When leveraging a SaaS deployment, both the control plane and the data plane reside within the AI defense stack.00:36The AI validation traffic flows outbound to the cloud provider, the returning data is then ingested back into AI defense. For customers who own and operate their own infrastructure, the hybrid deployment option supports the hosting of the data plane within the confines of your organization. The data plane for both valid.00:55And runtime operations will reside on your own environment and will be connected to the AI defense control plane via a secure outbound connection on port 443.01:15When choosing to deploy via a SaaS or hybrid method, be sure to note your organizational requirements and select which is best suited to meet your needs. Within the provided table, you will see the characteristics associated with each deployment option within AI defense. To summarize.01:27SaaS deployments are a more streamlined deployment option which facilitates swifter time to value hybrid deployments while more involved, provide a more controlled environment which supports more stringent GRC requirements. 1st, we will review the traditional SaaS deployment option for AI defense.01:42The SAS deployment option supports AI defense customers by providing a streamlined enablement path for your AI models, applications, and agents. All major cloud service providers and the associated AI tooling platforms can be quickly integrated within AI defense. Functionality includes visibility, validation, security scoring, and runtime.02:02And monitoring.02:22The most prevalent benefit of a SaaS deployment is its swift time to value. The AI defense SaaS connector offers a simple step by step process, which allows a quick integration with your AI service providers. Hosted within Cisco's cloud environment, both the data plane and control plane live within AI defense. This provides easy.02:25We've continued validation and runtime operations.02:44It requires NO infrastructure maintenance, allowing the customer to focus on security and workflow operations. Next, we will discuss the AI defense hybrid connector. As previously mentioned, the hybrid connector's primary differentiator is that the data plane resides within.02:47The customer environment.03:07This can either be a virtual private cloud or a hardware offering such as Cisco AI pods. A hybrid deployment provides additional control over sensitive data, but shifts infrastructure maintenance and data residency requirement to the customer. Cisco provides the following to support customers with hybrid deployment requirements.03:08Your customer experience team and partner org can provide instructions on how to establish your Kubernetes cluster as well as provide update notifications for your connector. Run time configuration can be customized to align with your organization's data requirements. This ensures that NO sensitive information or traffic is exposed.03:28In summary, hybrid deployments are recommended for organizations with stringent data compliance requirements. Industry segments such as healthcare and finance are encouraged to explore this option. For those organizations which cannot enable a Kubernetes based hybrid connector.03:47One additional deployment option is available, the private connector. Finally, we will discuss the AI defense private connector. The private connector is the essential component that allows organizations to leverage advanced cloud AI security while maintaining absolute sovereignty over.04:03Their internal network traffic. It acts as the secure bridge between your local infrastructure, enabling a powerful hybrid security posture without compromising on privacy or control. For more information, please explore the dedicated capsule video for the private connector.04:23Thank you for watching this capsule video regarding the deployment options for AI defense. Please reach out if you are interested in additional content.04:40
