Welcome to the 5th video in our hands on capsule series. Today, we'll delve into Cisco Catalyst Center Assurance, one of its most potent features, by the end of this session, you'll see how assurance turns raw network data into actionable insights, enabling you to optimize network performance with clarity and confidence.00:03In this session, we'll cover several key areas regarding assurance. 1st, we'll look into how assurance creates meaningful health scores. Next, we'll examine proactive network management and how assurance improves visibility across environments. We'll also explore the machine reasoning engine for automated problem resolution, gain full stack visibility.00:23Ability and conclude with a preview of a live demonstration. Let's begin.00:43The core of assurance is its advanced analytics engines. These engines gather telemetry data across your network and convert it into actionable health scores. Rather than sifting through raw data, you'll obtain a clear overview of network performance, proactive insights help you replace guest work with data driven decisions, ensuring you maintain efficient.00:50Network operations.01:10Traditionally, network management relies on being reactive responding post incident. Assurance changes this approach by continually analyzing network behavior and identifying issues before they impact users. This proactive management results in less downtime, quicker problem resolution, and an overall enhanced user experience.01:13Modern networks are inherently complex, but assurance simplifies this complexity. It provides a holistic view, bringing together all devices, clients, and services into a single interface. This integration means NO more switching between different tools or managing fragmented data.01:34Everything you need is consolidated in one place, allowing for more focused attention where it's most needed. Assurance offers comprehensive visibility through its 360 degree views. With network 360, you can monitor the health of your entire infrastructure. Device 360 allows you to focus on individual.01:50Devices examining their telemetry data and issues.02:10Finally, client 360 provides an overview of the end user experience from onboarding through roaming, ensuring a seamless user journey across the network. One of the key strengths of assurance is its capacity for automated problem resolution. It not only monitors network health, but actively identify.02:14And prioritizes issues based on severity. This capability allows your team to spend more time on resolutions rather than issue hunting, directing focus on crucial problems and providing exact locations for investigation.02:34Enhancing automation further, the machine reasoning engine or MREE functions as an automated expert with the push of a button, the engine investigates complex issues by mimicking the steps of a seasoned engineer, diagnosing root causes and recommending solutions to you. It's akin to having a senior network expert integrated directly.02:48Into the platform.03:08Assurance provides full stack visibility, covering wired infrastructure, wireless environments, and all applications running across the network, whether dealing with issues like access points problems, switchboard instability or application performance. Assurance provides a unified operational view, simplifying complex network management.03:11Now that we've covered the conceptual framework, it's time to see assurance in action. The upcoming hands on demonstration will walk us through real time dashboards, help us investigate live issues, and showcase the machine reasoning engine's problem solving capabilities in real time scenarios. Let's dive into the demo.03:31Welcome to the Cisco Catalyst Center, our comprehensive platform for network management. This homepage allows us to access essential functions such as design, provisioning, policy implementation, and assurance. Let's begin by navigating the top menu to select, assurance and clicking Health, which directs us to the overall health.03:50Health dashboard. On the assurance health dashboard, we immediately assess the current state of our network, which is showing an overall health score of 85 %. We can further analyze this by device types, including access points, access switches, and distribution devices. While most areas appear healthy, a few segments are flagged in orange and red.04:10Hiring further investigation. As we scroll through the dashboard, let's examine our core network services. We observe that triple AAA and DHCP services are operating at 100 % effectiveness, whereas DNS shows an 87.5 % success rate, indicating a failure in approximately one in eight DNS lookups.04:30Such subtle signals are precisely what assurance is designed to detect. At the bottom of the dashboard, we find the issues list, which is instrumental in prioritizing problems. Instead of searching for issues, assurance ranks them by severity from priority one down. Highlighting the number of occurrences and affected sites, enabling immediate focus on critical m.04:50Matters. Currently prioritized at level one are layer two loop symptoms, which pose a significant threat by potentially disabling network segments. Clicking into this revealed host flaps in one VLAN at our London three site, originating from device LDN 3C9300.05:10MRELEAF1, with Mac flapping identified as the probable cause, 1st Tracking and resolving such loops manually can be time consuming. However, we'll utilize the machine reasoning engine, which swiftly pinpoints the interfaces in question.05:29Gigabit ethernet one/0/ 22 and one/0/ 23 and provides the remediation strategy enabling VLAN 1902 spanning tree instance. Detailed evidence supporting the issue is available, clearly documenting how VLAN 1902 and specific.05:45Interfaces are affected along with a timeline of link events, providing unambiguous diagnostics.06:05Next, we'll explore the network page, which offers an in depth analysis of device performance, filtering for under performers highlights device, LDN 1C9300 edge one with a health score of just two out of ten. The wireless health dashboard further reveals access point statuses, allowing us to identify those.06:12Experiencing high interference, a common factor in degrading wireless performance.06:31Examining the device three 60 page presents detailed telemetry for individual devices, exposing a power supply failure as the cause of the low score for LDN 1C9300 edge one. Such insights enable prompt replacement to avoid outages beyond alerts. Telemetry data encompasses CP.06:46EU utilization, memory usage, and time based reachability metrics, helping differentiate actual issues from mere fluctuations.07:05Lastly, transitioning to the client page emphasizes user centric considerations. The client health dashboard shows wired clients at 95 % health, whereas wireless clients lag at 44 %.07:18This disparity necessitates targeted attentions. Site analytics expand upon wireless experience metrics covering onboarding, connection duration, and roaming success alongside radio frequency environmental assessments.07:35Delving into client three 60 identifies a specific user issue and off key exchange timeout during onboarding and roaming, providing a clear problem diagnosis complete with device type, OS details VLAN, and connectivity status.08:01All instrumental for wireless configuration resolution. This exemplifies assurance's effectiveness transforming complex network management into clear, actionable insights. Thank you for engaging with this demonstration.08:16Today we explored how assurance transforms complexity into clarity enabling proactive intelligent management that simplifies network operations. As this final capsule concludes, you now have everything you need to move forward with confidence. Thank you for joining the series.08:34
