Services Portfolio Guide

Get more value from your Cisco Enterprise Agreement with Cisco Services

Achieve resiliency, simplicity, and faster time to value for your IT environment through a predictable and agile support experience across all software, hardware, and integrated third-party solutions.

Introduction

Buying, managing, and renewing your software licenses and services can present a range of complexities. The Cisco Enterprise Agreement simplifies contract procurement and management by combining these processes into one agreement with one renewal date and one set of terms.

With Services for the Cisco Enterprise Agreement (EA), you get software licenses, professional services, and support for software and hardware in one agreement, with one renewal date and one set of terms.

Additionally, you can purchase Combined Services (Cisco Support and Cisco Professional Services) in EA, further simplifying your experience in a single SKU with the added advantages of Services EA.

With True Up,2 you only pay for what you use in hardware support through one annual billing, giving you predictable and accurate budgeting control. And, with the price lock-in feature, you benefit from price protection for extra financial stability throughout your agreement.

The result? A streamlined and centralized support experience across software, hardware, and third-party providers in your Cisco solution.

2 True Up model applies for Hardware Support for all new and renewed Services EA bookings starting July 26, 2026. Software Support remains under True Forward model. For more details, access this FAQ.

Choose how you want to engage Cisco Services

If you already have a Cisco Software Enterprise Agreement (EA):
You can complement it by adding Cisco Services, which include Professional Services and/or Cisco Support. For optimal customer experience, combine Software and Services, as it enables a single subscription, renewal, and terms across both Software and Services in an EA.

If you do not have a Software EA:
You can start by purchasing Cisco Services (Cisco Support only) without the need for a separate Software EA. You have the flexibility to add a Software EA later if you choose, so you can benefit from having services and software in a single agreement.

Eligibility Requirements

Services portfolio requirements and guidelines

  • Hardware Support (HW CX) within Services EA for new sales and renewals (effective July 26, 2026): $200k minimum ACV threshold.
  • Software Support (SW CX) and Professional Services: $100k TCV platform-level requirement.

Financial benefits

Experience predictable, normalized costs and savings

In addition to delivering on technology, support, and business needs, the Enterprise Agreement offers financial benefits designed for the needs of enterprises.

Financial flexibility

As with technology, financing increasingly needs to be more dynamic. For Cisco EA, you can opt for annual or prepaid billing - without an upcharge or premium for annual billing.

In addition, you can benefit from Value Shift. This mechanism enables customers to apply the residual value of unused or under-consumed licenses to offset the cost of over-consumed licenses during the billing event. Value Shift helps customers avoid paying twice for licenses by transferring unused license value within the same suite or across eligible suites like Cisco DNA and Meraki®.

With Value Shift, customers can reduce unexpected costs by allowing unused license value to cover overages, enabling smoother budget management and more efficient license consumption under a single agreement.
