Cisco Enterprise Agreement

Services Portfolio Guide

Get more value from your Cisco Enterprise Agreement with Cisco Services

Achieve resiliency, simplicity, and faster time to value for your IT environment through a predictable and agile support experience across all software, hardware, and integrated third-party solutions.

Introduction

Buying, managing, and renewing your software licenses and services can present a range of complexities. The Cisco® Enterprise Agreement simplifies contract procurement and management by combining these processes into one agreement with one renewal date and one set of terms.

With Services for the Cisco Enterprise Agreement (EA), you get software licenses, professional services, and support for software and hardware in one agreement, with one renewal date and one set of terms.

Additionally, you can purchase Combined Services (Cisco Professional Services and Cisco Support) in all software portfolios (except Collaboration and Provider Connectivity). This simplifies your experience with Cisco Services in a single SKU, enhanced by the added benefits of EA.

The result? A streamlined and centralized support experience across software, hardware, and third- party providers in your Cisco solution.

Services outcomes

The IDC’s study “The Business Value of Cisco Services for Enterprise Agreement” (January 2025) demonstrates how organizations using the Cisco Services for Enterprise Agreement (EA) can significantly reduce annual costs, enhance the efficiency of IT management, administration, and troubleshooting teams, and minimize unplanned system outages.

Key results include:

Choose how you want to engage Cisco Services

If you already have a Cisco Software Enterprise Agreement (EA):
You can complement it by adding Cisco Services, which include Cisco Professional Services and/or Cisco Support.

If you do not have a Software EA:
You can start by purchasing Cisco Services (Cisco Support only) without the need for a separate Software EA. You have the flexibility to add a Software EA later if you choose, so you can benefit from having services and software in a single agreement.

Eligibility Requirements

Services portfolio requirements and guidelines

Note the following when planning to include Cisco Services in your Enterprise Agreement:

  • Services contribute to the $100K minimum Enterprise Agreement total contract value. For Security, minimum requirements are at the suite level. Consult your Cisco or partner contact for more details.
  • Services must be attached to all products in the purchased suite for Full Commit only.

Financial benefits

Experience predictable, normalized costs and savings

In addition to delivering on technology, support, and business needs, the Enterprise Agreement offers financial benefits designed for the needs of enterprises. The following are a few examples:

Financial flexibility

As with technology, financing increasingly needs to be more dynamic. The Enterprise Agreement delivers new levels of flexibility for financing, such as flexible terms and volume ramp options.

Financial predictability with True Forward

True Forward provides financial predictability in Cisco’s Enterprise Agreement by allowing you to exceed your licensed amount by up to 15% without immediate charges. Unlike other agreements that retroactively bill for past usage, True Forward reviews your actual usage at the contract anniversary and adjusts your license quantities going forward. This approach prevents surprise bills and aligns your contract with your current needs, ensuring predictable billing without retroactive fees. Cisco collaborates with you to update your contract based on your growth, so you pay only for usage beyond the allowance on a going-forward basis.
