SAS and SASU contracts are usually lower in price than buying a la carte software updates. SAS and SASU pricing is a function of the value of the software applications. This helps pave the way for additional opportunities in the future that you can use to “up-sell” your customers on other programs. For situations like these, the approach to remember is to sell your customer something small to allow them to gradually see the value in the Cisco service offering—and use the sale as a “stepping stone” that may lead to future business. Note: Some Cisco software applications might offer only SAS or only SASU.
