Module 4: Cisco Technical Support Services Portfolio
Previous Next
What Are the SAS and SASU Programs?

You learned in the previous section that the Cisco SMARTnet and Cisco SMARTnet Onsite programs provide support for Cisco Operating Systems software. SAS and SASU provide support for Cisco software applications.

SAS and SASU are the two levels of support offered by Cisco Software Application Support Services. SAS and SASU provide support for more than 100 Cisco software applications in major technology areas such as voice, network management, security, mobile wireless, and storage area networking.

Voice applications such as CallManager will be supported by the new Cisco Unified Communications Services (www.cisco.com/go/ipcservices), which was recently introduced to support the new Cisco Communications family of voice products (www.cisco.com/go/voice). This new family of products includes offerings such as CallManager, Unity, and MeetingPlace. Cisco Unified Communications will be discussed in the Cisco Lifecycle Services module of this course.
