Unity Dependency Exchange 2003 - 4.0(X)
Exchange 2003 Service Pack 1 is now qualified as an optional service pack for Cisco Unity 4.0(3) or later and Cisco Bridge 3.0(4).
When Cisco Unity 4.0(4) was released, it was announced that Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP 1 was supported. Additional testing and field experience have exposed some problems that required further research. Support of Exchange 2003 SP 1 was defered until July 24, 2004 when a work around was provided.
The two bugs in this Field Notice are a result of installing Microsoft Exchange 2003 Service Pack 1 without performing the work around..
Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP1 is now qualified as an optional service pack for Cisco Unity 4.0(3) or later and Cisco Bridge 3.0(4). If you are running Cisco Unity 4.0(3), you will need to upgrade the Permission Wizard version to 184.108.40.206 or later to address the defects.
When installing Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP 1, you must run Permissions Wizard version 2.1.18 or later again after installing Exchange 2003 SP1. Upgrading the Permissions Wizard itself isn't sufficient and it must be re-run.
Note:?Cisco Unity Installation and Configuration Assistant (CUICA) does not require customers to run Permission Wizard during an upgrade. So customers must run the permission wizard outside of CUICA if SP1 is installed.
To follow the bug ID link below and see detailed bug information, you must be a registered user and you must be logged in.
Exchange 2003 SP1 contains logon limits per MAPI session
Bridge directory msgs fail when KB836488 or E2K3 SP1 installed w/IVC
