Launching CUICA
After installing the first part of the Cisco Unity Setup, you will find a shortcut “CUICA” on the desktop and a CUICA entry in the startup menu. Double-clicking it should run the Cisco Unity Installation and Configuration Assistant wizard. You might see the following error:
Res://c:\CUICA.tmp\cuica.dll/default.hta

If you see this error, make sure the folder c:\CUICA.tmp is present. If it is not present, create a folder called CUICA.tmp and make sure all files are present.
Follow the steps below:
-
Copy the contents of the CUICA directory from the Unity CD1 directory to CUICA.tmp.
-
Copy the LocalRes directory from the Unity CD1 directory to CUICA.tmp.
-
Copy SelectDisplayLanguage.exe from the root of the Unity CD1 directory to CUICA.tmp.
-
Run the ConfigurationAssistant.vbs from CUICA.tmp.

The CUICA wizard will now launch.
Note: Before the Cisco Unity installation, make sure to stop the Cisco Security Agent service and any Antivirus service you run on your server. Also make sure that you do not install Cisco Unity through Terminal Services.
