Introduction

This document explains how to create the registry settings that affect the time it takes to go from tab to tab in Cisco MeetingTime.

The information in this document is based on Cisco MeetingTime versions 4.3.x and later.

The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.

Create Registry Key Settings

This section provides information on the four registry key settings to create and what each setting affects. Step-by-step instructions for creating the registry keys are provided below in the section Steps to Create Registry Keys.

  1. Create this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Latitude\MeetingTime\settings\Prevent*Update

    Note: In the registry key above, * is replaced by Attend, In Session, Profile, Review, or Schedule (for example, PreventAttendUpdate or PreventInSessionUpdate).

    The default is 0. When set to 0, the tab initially displays all meetings and profiles on each server. When changed to 1, the tab does not initially display any meetings or profiles. The user can then select specific search criteria.

  2. Create this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Latitude\MeetingTime\settings\*TabMaxMeetings

    Note: In the registry key above, * is replaced by Attend, Review, Schedule, or Profile (for example, AttendTabMaxMeetings or ReviewTabMaxMeetings).

    The default (with no entry) is 1000 meetings.

    The Profile tag pertains to the Preference tab in Cisco MeetingTime. Changing this value limits the number of profiles that are displayed, thus allowing you to search for one profile much faster.

    By changing this value, you can control the number of meetings that are shown in each of these tabs. If you decrease the number, you see fewer meetings, but you decrease the amount of time it takes to display the contents of the tab. If you increase the number, you see more meetings, but it takes longer for them to be displayed.

  3. Create this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Latitude\MeetingTime\settings\ShowInSessionSchedNames

    The default is 0. When set to 0, the scheduler names in the In Session tab do not appear until you click a specific meeting. When changed to 1, all meetings show the scheduler name when you initially click the In Session tab.

  4. Create this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Latitude\MeetingTime\settings\DisableWhiteBoard

    The default is 0. When set to 0, the contents of the white board are automatically displayed when you log in to Cisco MeetingTime. When changed to 1, the contents of the white board are not displayed automatically.

Steps to Create Registry Keys

Complete these steps:

  1. Click Start > Run.

  2. Enter regedit.

  3. Locate the appropriate key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Latitude\MeetingTime\settings

  4. Click Edit > New > DWORD Value.

  5. Enter the key name you are creating, then press Enter to save your changes.

  6. Double-click the key name entered in Step 5.

  7. Click Decimal.

  8. Enter the new value for your new key.

  9. After all keys are added, close the Cisco MeetingTime application (if open), then re-launch.
