Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3JE is a General Deployment (GD) IOS train optimized for WNBU WLAN autonomous AP/BR line of products. This release is based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.3(8)JA maintenance release. The train provides stable maintenance updates and the limited number of required new IOS features on the existing Cisco Aironet Series WLAN AP/BR and CAT6000-WLSM platforms.

Feature Description:

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3(8)JEA supports Cisco Aironet 1400 Series outdoor wireless bridges, Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Outdoor Access Points and Bridges, and Cisco Aironet 1240AG, 1230AG, 1200, 1130AG and 1100 Series Access Points. This release contains new features as well as enhancements for previous features.

Note:

The features delivered with this XED release are immediately incorporated into Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(8 )JEA1 and subsequent Cisco IOS 12.3(8)JEB releases.

 Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(8)JEA as an STED release targeted for Enterprise customers to enable them to deploy wireless LAN technology. New hardware and software features pertaining to 802.11 based wireless standards are supported in Cisco IOS 12.3JE software releases.
