Description of the Release
|
Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3(7)XI is an ED (XED) release optimized for the Bastille Phase 1 project.
This release is based upon Cisco IOS Software 12.3(7)T maintenance release. This release introduces IOS support for:
- The Cisco 10000 Series Performance Routing Engine 2 (PRE2) features. The PRE2 is the next generation forwarding engine for the Cisco 10000 Series product line.
- Feature acceleration of broadband LAC functionality that uses the second CPU on the 7301.
- Virtual Route Forwarding (VRF) Domain Mapping feature for Cisco 7200 and Catalyst 10000.
Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before it is deployed in a production network.
