Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3(4)XQ is an ED (XED) release optimized for the Cisco 17xx and 7200 Cisco platforms.

This release is based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.3(4)T maintenance release. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

Feature Description:

MGCP Controlled Backhaul of BRI Signaling in conjunction with Cisco CallManager (FEAT-123306).

  • This feature enables MGCP controlled backhaul of gateway BRI signaling in conjunction with Cisco CallManager. Please not that this requires Cisco CallManager 3.3(2).

Takeback and Transfer (FEAT-123308)

  • TCL IVR infrastructure enhancements allow TCL applications to consume the digits dialed by the user after the incoming and the outgoing call-legs are bridged, transmits digits to the remote end, and transmits a hook-flash to the remote end.

Warm Reload ( FEAT-123307)

  • Allows routers to reload without reading images from storage.
