Feature Description Example

Current DDR is based on Dynamic Routing Protocols or Line Protocol detecting routing/line failures and triggering a back-up connection.

Many scenarios do not involve Dynamic Routing or the potential for Line Protocol failure. For example:

  • Only Static Routes Used
  • Dual-Ethernet Routers

Note: The features delivered with this XED release are immediately incorporated into Cisco IOS 12.3T and subsequent Cisco IOS 12.3T releases.
