Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3 is a consolidation of the leading-edge technology and features released in the earlier 12.2T-train release and many of the 12.2x releases.

• Cisco IOS Software 12.3, feature complete at the time of its creation.

• Provides support of 908 features across 58 platforms, 588 images.

• Cisco IOS Software12.3 images will post on CCO and available to customers on May 19, 2003.

The main goal of Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3 is to consolidate previously released Cisco IOS features and platforms into a highly stable software branch. This provides customers currently on Cisco IOS Early Deployment (ED) vehicles with an upgrade path which leads to a General Deployment (GD) candidate software.
