Description

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.0(4)XI is a short-lived ED release introducing support for several new platforms and features including:
  • The Cisco 1400 series router for Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) networks that connects small businesses and remote branch offices to the Internet or to larger, corporate networks.
  • The uBR 924 is a subscriber-end cablem cable access router that provides small-office/home office customers with IP data and voice service through a provider's fiber/coax network.
  • TelcoReturn and Enhanced Spectrum Management support on uBR 7200.
  • Resource Pooling Manger on the Cisco AS5200, AS5300, and AS5800. Resource pooling allows the user to maximize the use of available modems, terminal adaptors, or voice channels by using configurable Customer Profiles.
  • Introducing support for H.245 Coder Negotiation, G723.1 Codec, and dual tone multifrequency (DTMF) Digit Relay via RTP, and G.729 Bit Ordering Compliancy on the Cisco AS5300 platform.

Interim Builds

Short-lived X releases do not provide interim builds.
