Early Deployment (ED) Release Summary

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.0(3)XG is a short-lived ED release that introduces the Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Voice Module on the Cisco MC3810. This release provides features such as support for Frame Relay Forum FRF.11 for voice data fragmentation and Frame Relay Forum FRF.12 for compressed voice in Frame Relay. Interim Builds |
Interim builds are not recommended and are not fully tested. Customers will only be provided with interim builds when a critical defect renders the maintenance release unusable.

Cisco IOS Software short-lived ED or X releases do not have a schedule maintenance trail. Standard Cisco IOS ED releases regualrly synchronize with parent releases and provide scheduled maintenance releases.

Recommended Migration |
Features of Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(3)XG will be ported to Cisco IOS 12.0(4)T.
