Early Deployment (ED) Release Summary
Description |
Cisco Systems, Inc. released the Cisco IOS® Software 12.0SC ED release train as the support vehicle for cable or broadband routers (primarily the Cisco uBR7200). Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0SC is directly based on the Cisco IOS 12.0(6)S software branch and therefore, includes the majority of the features that are part of the Cisco IOS 12.0S Internet Service Provider (ISP) release. Furthermore, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0SC will continue to synchronize with Cisco IOS 12.0S in an effort to inherit bug fixes. The following features characterize the first release of Cisco IOS Software Release12.0SC (12.0(6)SC) that will first customer ship (FCS) in August 1999:

Recommended Migration |
It is recommended to upgrade from Cisco IOS Software Release 11.3NA to Cisco IOS 12.0SC.
