Description of the Release

 

X Release:
Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1(5)YE is an ED release (XED) optimized for the Catalyst 4224 Access Gateway Switch. This release is based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.1(5)T maintenance release.  This release introduces hardware and IOS software support for Catalyst 4224 Access Gateway Switch. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

Feature Description

This release introduces hardware and IOS software support for IP telephony and VoIP gateway on the Catalyst 4224 Access Gateway Switch.

Note: The features delivered with this XED release will be immediately incorporated into Cisco IOS Software 12.2(4)T and subsequent Cisco IOS 12.2T releases.

Target Market

 		 Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(5)YE is a release for the Catalyst 4224 Access Gateway Switch that provides support for IP telephony and VoIP gateway. The target market is the Enterprise branch office, where the Access Gateway Switch will be used as a voice gateway support for IP telephony.
