Description of the Release |
Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1(3)XQ is an ED release (XED) optimized for the following platforms: Cisco AS5350, Cisco UBR 7200, Cisco 2600, Cisco 3620, Cisco 3640, and the Cisco 3660.
This release introduces a new platform: the Cisco AS5350 and a new IOS feature, Broadband Wireless, on Cisco 2600, Cisco 36XX and UBR7200. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network. |

The Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(3)XQ will support the following platforms:
The Cisco AS5350 is a next generation midrange Universal Gateway Platform. It will be the only 2 PRI access platform on the market that will provide voice and data in a compact 1 RU form factor with carrier class features including hot swappable cards, hot swappable fan tray, and NEBS complaint. The product leverages the existing Motherboard and will support existing Dial Feature Cards. The motherboard features include 2 Fast Ethernet ports, 2T serial ports and R7K MIPS Technology. Recommended Customer Migration Path |
Cisco IOS Software 12.1(3)XQ will migrate to 12.2(2)T. To collect maintenance fixes it is recommended to migrate to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(2)T or later 12.2T maintenance releases.
