Description of the Release

 X Release:

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1(5)YH is an ED release (XED) optimized for theVG200 platform. This release is based upon the 12.1(5)T maintenance release. This release introduces IOS support for Standalone-Shared DSP Resources for Call Manager (IP-PBX). Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

Target Market

 Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(5)YH as short-lived release for the Cisco VG200 platform. It is targeted for small offices or branch offices as a low cost alternative to the Cat6K platform.

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(5)YH3 is an Early Deployment (ED) release parented to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(5)T and supporting the Cisco VG200. This release provides transcoding and conferencing services for the Cisco VG200 platform. The platform and features delivered with this ED release will be incorporated into Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(1)T and subsequent Cisco IOS 12.2(X)T software releases. The following new features are supported on the Cisco VG200 in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(5)YH3:
  • Transcoding

  • Conferencing
