Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2SX is an ED release train based upon the Cisco IOS Software12.2 maintenance release. This release adds further IOS support for Catalyst 6500/7600 Supervisor 720, Supervisor 2, and Supervisor 32 platforms. This release introduces new hardware for the Supervisor 720 platform. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

Target Market

 Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2SX as an early deployment release for the Cisco  7600-SUP720 and CAT6000-SUP720. It is targeted for the Enterprise and Service Provider markets.
