Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2(13)ZE is an ED release (XED) optimized for the Charlotte project. This release is based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.2(13)T maintenance release. This release introduces Cisco IOS support for the dual OC-3/STM-1 Packet over SONET/SDH PA on 7200, 7400 and RSP7000/7500 platforms. The dual OC-3 POS PA was built to address the performance limitations of the existing OC-3 port adapter on the Cisco 7200 and to provide the additional benefit of dual OC-3 on the same card connectivity on the above-mentioned platforms. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.
