Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2BC is a specific technology early deployment release (STED) optimized for the ubr7100, ubr7200, and ubr10k support. This release is based upon Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2T. The initial release, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(4)BC1 introduces support for these cable features:

  • DOCSIS 1.1 (all ubr platforms)
  • N+1 Redundancy (ubr10k)
  • Advanced Spectrum Management (ubr7200 and ubr10k)

All feature support from Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2T and 12.1EC trains will also be available in this initial release. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.
