Description of the Release

Cisco IOS ® Software Release 12.2DA is a specific technology early deployment release (STED) that is designed to add features to support Cisco's currently-deployed digital subscriber line (DSL) technology.  It is optimized for the following platforms: Cisco 6160 Series, Cisco 6260 Series, and Cisco 6015 Series Digital Subscriber Line access concentrators (DSLAMs). Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

 The Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(1b)DA will support the following platforms:

 There are no special memory requirements. All released Cisco IOS Software 12.2DA images run on any NI-2 release.

Note: The features delivered with this ED release will be immediately incorporated into the next software releases of Cisco IOS 12.2DA.

Target Market

 Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(1b)DA as an ED release for the Cisco 6160 Series, Cisco 6260 Series, and Cisco 6015 Series platforms. It is targeted for the enterprise market.
