Description of the Release

 Major Release:
Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2T in June, 2001. The Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2T series is an Early Deployment (ED) release delivering the latest Cisco IOS Software functionality and platform support.  Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2T will integrate new features with every maintenance release. 

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2T uses the consolidated 12.2 main release as the foundation for building new technologies.  This provides early adopter customers with the ability to implement new functionality without forgoing existing and proven technologies.
