Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1EY is an X release optimized for the Catalyst 8500 and LS1010 platforms. Any early deployment (ED) release of the software should be used in a test network before being deployed in a production network.

UPDATE July 24, 2002:
The migration plan is changing and migration to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1E will not be Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(13)E as originally planned. The new plan will migrate Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(10)EY to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(12)EY. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(12)EY is presently planned to migrate into Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1E at Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(14)E.
