Early Deployment (ED) Release Summary
Description |
Directly parented to Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.0, Cisco IOS 12.0T was released in November 1998 and is the first major release since Cisco IOS 11.1 to unify all previous Cisco IOS ED releases. Furthermore, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0T will continually provide additional features and platform support with each maintenance release. As a superset of its parent, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0T regularly synchronizes to Cisco IOS 12.0 to capture fixes committed to that base code. The constant addition of features to the code essentially makes this release a little less robust than Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0, but much richer in functionality.
As defined by the Technology model, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0T will stop integrating new features and platforms after the first four or five maintenance releases. Thereafter, only defect fixes will be allowed. For more information, see the following pages: |
