Description

Cisco IOS® Software Release 11.1CT was released at Cisco IOS 11.1(17)CT to deliver Tag Switching functionality on the Cisco 7500, Cisco 7200, and RSP7000 routers. Tag Switching support for the PBX8600 is available at Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(19)CT.

Based on Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CC, Cisco IOS 11.1CT consolidates Cisco Express Forwarding (CEF), differentiated IP services (QoS) in Enterprise and Service Provider environments, and new port adapters for the Cisco 7200 and Cisco 7500 series routers into a single, stable, fully supported release. Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CT is directly parented to Cisco IOS 11.1CC and synchronizes regularly with every Cisco IOS 11.1CC interim release.

Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CT merged to Cisco IOS 12.0T at Cisco IOS 11.1(19)CT. However, it will be augmented with Tag Switching phase 2 (to include more features and compatibility with WAN switches) in Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.0S, 12.0T, and/or Cisco IOS 12.0ST. For more information, see the following pages:
