Related Cisco IOS Releases

Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CC is based on Cisco IOS 11.1CA. Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(17)CC was the first customer maintenance release available for Cisco IOS 11.1CC supported by the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(17)CC is only available on Cisco Connection Online (CCO). Other future maintenance releases are orderable.

Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CC synchronizes all software defects from each Cisco IOS 11.1CA maintenance release and interim build. For more information, see the Cisco IOS Software Release Process for Release 11.1CC Product Bulletin.

Product/Feature Integration

All features supported in Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1 and Cisco IOS 11.1CA are supported in Cisco IOS 11.1CC. New products and features will be integrated into each maintenance release until Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(22)CC. Cisco IOS 11.1(22)CC is the last maintenance release allowed to have new products and features integrated. For more information, see the following pages:

Maintenance Releases

Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CC follows the parent Cisco IOS 11.CA maintenance release cycle. Cisco IOS 11.1 and 11.1CA were originally a 7-week release model and are now at a 13-week cycle as of Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(18). Cisco Software Release 11.1CC will continue to use the 7-week maintenance cycle. This 13-week release cycle was created to meet the needs of Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1CC to continue a 7-week cycle.

As of Cisco IOS Software Release 11.1(24)CC, the Cisco IOS 11.1CC train will start the 13-week maintenance cycle by releasing only even-numbered releases. For more information, see the Cisco IOS Software Release Process for Release 11.1CC Product Bulletin.
