Explanation of System Defined Users

This section provides details that describe the System Defined Users.

Unassigned

The Unassigned queue contains messages that the rule tree does not assign to a user or group. Also, this queue is a location for the placement of e-mail when problems interrupt rules processing.

Rejected

The Rejected queue holds e-mail that successfully downloads but is not an inquiry from a customer. Examples include a message from a daemon and returned e-mail. E-mail only enters the Rejected queue if the rules explicitly assign the e-mail to the queue. The only default rule that assigns e-mail to the Rejected queue is the undeliverable rule. Monitor the queue regularly to avoid the misroute of e-mails to this queue and to archive e-mails that you do not need.

Public

The Public user is the owner of all public libraries. This queue accepts no e-mail assignments.

Overload

The Overload queue is the default queue for e-mail that arrives through the overload rules. No agent or rule outside of the Overload rule tree can assign e-mail to this queue.

Overdue

The Overdue queue is the default queue for e-mail that the overdue rules send. No agent or rule outside of the Overdue rule tree can assign e-mail to this queue.

Reserved

The Reserved user is the owner of all autoresponses. This queue accepts no e-mail assignments.

Unknown

The Unknown user is the owner of e-mail with no assignment to another user or group. Typically, Unknown owns only e-mail under process by a rule tree.
