Add Words
In order to add words globally, complete these steps:
-
Verify that at least one user has added a word to the custom dictionary.
-
Create a new user with the name spell1.
-
Log in as the new user.
-
Add a word to that custom dictionary.
-
Log out.
-
Navigate to the spell directory under the instance on the E-Mail Manager server.
An example is Drive:\Program Files\Cisco\eMail Manager\Instance\instance name\Spell.
-
Copy ssceam.utlx to the dictionaries directory.
In most cases, the directories are:
From: c:\Program Files\Cisco\eMail Manager\Instances\instance name\spell\ ssceam.utlx To: c:\Program Files\Cisco\eMail Manager\Instances\instance name\dictionaries\ ssceam.utlx
Note: These directories display over two lines due to space limitations.
-
Locate the personal dictionary for the user in the dictionary directory, spell1.utlx.
-
Delete this file.
-
Rename ssceam.utlx as spell1.utlx.
-
Log in as the user spell1.
-
Add the words you want to the custom dictionary.
Note: Paste each word into the response box, and run Spell Check.
-
Choose Add for each new word.
-
Log out as spell1.
-
Rename spell1.utlx as ssceam.utlx.
-
Copy ssceam.utlx back to the spell directory.
In most cases, the directories are:
From: c:\Program Files\Cisco\eMail Manager\Instances\instance name\spell\ dictionaries\ssceam.utlx To: c:\Program Files\Cisco\eMail Manager\Instances\instance name\spell\ ssceam.utlx
Note: These directories display over two lines due to space limitations.
-
Restart E-Mail Manager services.
All the new words are now available to all users.
