Move Users and Groups

If you create a new instance of Cisco E-Mail Manager Option that can use the same users and groups as an existing instance, you can move users and groups to the new instance. When you import the users.cfg file from an existing instance, any users or groups that already exist in the new instance are overwritten.

First, copy the users.cfg file from the existing instance engine directory:

\WebLine\eMail Manager\Instances\<source instance name>\engine

Paste it in the new instance engine directory:

\WebLine\eMail Manager\Instances\<destination instance name>\engine

Complete these steps:

  1. Restart the new instance and log in.

  2. Click Diagnostics > Plug-Ins, and select User-Group Update from the Script Name list.

  3. Click Run.

When the script has run, and the users and groups are successfully imported, the Javascript Application message is displayed (see Figure 1).

Move Rules

It is very useful to move rules when you create a new instance that can use the same or similar rules as those in an existing instance. When you copy rules from an existing instance, any rules that already exist in the new instance are overwritten.

Note: Templates and categories are not moved with the rules. You must create them in every new instance.

First copy the rules.cfg file from the existing instance engine directory:

\WebLine\eMail Manager\Instances\<source instance name>\engine

Paste it in the new instance engine directory:

\WebLine\eMail Manager\Instances\<destination instance name>\engine

Now, restart the new instance to make the rules available.
