Introduction

This document outlines the procedure to modify the license key on the Cisco Collaboration Server. This license key needs to be changed if the number of seats or features have been changed for your site.

Note: This document assumes that you already have an updated license key from Cisco. Contact your Cisco account team if you would like to update your license.

Prerequisites

Requirements

Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of Cisco Collaboration Server 3.0 through 3.02.

Components Used

The information in this document is based on Cisco Collaboration Server 3.0 through 3.02.

The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.

Refer to Cisco Technical Tips Conventions for more information on document conventions.

Install the License Key on the Cisco Collaboration Server

Complete these steps:

  1. Shut down the web services on the Cisco Collaboration Server.

  2. On the Collaboration Server, go to <CCS root directory>\servlet\properties.

  3. Find the wlserver.properties file and make a backup copy.

  4. In the wlserver.properties file, find the property called wlServer.WebLine.LICENSE_KEY, which looks like this:

    wlServer.WebLine.LICENSE_KEY=<old license key>
  5. Replace the license key with your new license key and save the wlserver.properties file.

  6. Restart the web services on the Collaboration Server.
