How do I migrate ScriptBuilder content between Cisco Collaboration Servers in version 4.0?
Related Information
Introduction
ScriptBuilder is a utility within the Cisco Web Collaboration Option used to build customized scripts for Collaboration Server agents. Agents use these scripts to present customer and/or repetitive content to customers. Cisco Collaboration Server administrators create ScriptBuilder folders, which are logical groupings into which ScriptBuilder agents can upload script-related content. ScriptBuilder content can include: Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, files, URLs, and chat.
There are instances where the ScriptBuilder data needs to be migrated from one Collaboration Server to another for back-up, redundancy, load balancing, hardware upgrade, and platform upgrade. This document provides the method of migrating ScriptBuilder content between Cisco Collaboration Servers (version 4.0).
Note: This migration process is only supported for SQL Server 7.0 to SQL Server 7.0 and SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2000. Cross SQL platforms is not supported.
Q. How do I migrate ScriptBuilder content between Cisco Collaboration Servers in version 4.0?
A. The data pointers for the uploaded ScriptBuilder content is stored in the SQL database (Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or SQL Server 2000). There is a definitive link between the SQL database tables and the ScriptBuilder folders. In the process of migration, the name of the ScriptBuilder directory should be kept identical between the source and destination Cisco Collaboration Servers. The migration procedure is as follows:
- Copy the ScriptBuilder content from one Cisco Collaboration Server to another . The directory structure and naming convention should remain identical between servers. In a default setup, the directory that should be copied is Cisco_CS\pub\html\scriptBuilder\content .
- Migrate the ScriptBuilder database by copying ScriptBuilder tables from one Collaboration Server database to the other. Two database tables should be copied. They are SCRIPT and SLINK.
