Error: cfggen raid setup: failed to create raid of integrated mi
Problem
When you upgrade from Cisco Unified Contact Center Express version 7.x to version 8.x, the upgrade fails with this error message:
cfggen raid setup: failed to create raid of integrated mi
This issue is documented in Cisco Bug ID CSCtj18603 (registered customers only) .
Solution
Complete these steps in order to work around this issue:
-
Manually create a RAID from the embedded RAID controller. (Press Ctrl+C in order to enter the LSI utility.)
-
Configure the RAID properties, and choose IM for integrated mirror setup, (RAID 1), and then choose each drive to be included within the array.
Once the configuration has been saved, the installation continues normally.
Replication Fails
Problem
After a second node is added to the cluster, the activation of the component fails, and the UCCX database appears in the deactivated state.
Solution
This issue might occur if the cluster security password specified during node 2 installation is entered incorrectly. The security password was subsequently changed on the first node and, after reboot, was entered correctly into the second node's installer.
This error can be seen in the uccx_repl_output_util.log file: IX000: Incorrect password or user uccxuser@<FQDN> is not known on the database server
Complete these steps on both the publisher and subscriber nodes in order to resolve the issue:
-
From the publisher CLI, run the utils uccx syncusers command.
-
From the subscriber CLI, run the utils uccx syncusers command.
-
If it is activated, disable subscriber configuration and historical datastores (CDS/HDS) from the Serviceability > Replication Servers page.
-
Start the Unified CCX Database service from the Serviceability > Network Services page.
-
From the subscriber CLI, run the utils uccx dbreplication reset command in order to set up replication.
-
Enable subscriber configuration and historical datastores (CDS/HDS) from the Serviceability > Replication Servers page.
