Problem

The following message appears in the OPC log on the PG:

Target assignment for CallID 606339 unknown (serviceNum=1 callindIDType=70,
callingDev=65592 calledDev=)

All of the call routing operations continue to function normally and properly.

Solution

This message is informational and is not an error. It is related to calls which is associated with a specific Route or Service, but this specific Route or Service is not configured in the ICM configuration. When OPC receives an Offered event for a call that cannot be targeted to a valid Route or Service, OPC attempts to map a call to a Peripheral Target from the provided CallingDevice and CalledDevice received within the event.

The value of ReportUnknownTargetAssignments is used to control the tracing of this message. A value of 1 results in OPC generating this message. A value of zero disables this message. Any other value results in OPC generating this message.. The procedure follows:

  1. Select Start > Run.

  2. Type regedt32.

  3. Navigate to the following registry key (XX identifies the PG in PGXX):

  4. The default value of ReportUnknownTargetAssignments is 1. Set it to 0 to suppress this message. This setting is dynamic. There is no need of cycling any process on the PG. In a duplexed environment, it propogates to the other side automatically.
